Thank you, to the developers at Sonos for taking what used to be a relaxing past time, listening to music and making it a frustrating stress fest. In the five months since the crap app dropped Sonos has become a nightmare. I have alarms that I can’t control! Have to unplug the speaker because my schedule changed! Promises have been made and they have not been kept. It is the end of October and these items are still missing. With the queue, I cannot save a queue. I cannot open the queue and have it take me to the song that is playing. I cannot turn on repeat and hit back button to go to the end of the queue. I have zombie queues, music is playing but I can’t control the speaker because it can’t connect to the speaker. I have a turntable, I could connect it to Sonos. Not doing it! Nice to be able to listen to music. Yes, I have to get up to turn over album, have to keep album clean to avoid skips but, it responds when I drop the needle or turn the volume dial.
I have the latest release recently installed. Now about 5% of my music terminates 20 seconds prior to the end of the file and I get 20 seconds of silence prior to the next song queing up. Is this another known bug?
Has to be the most useless error message ever written. Sonos system is now unusable and Sonos don’t seem to care.
What a shame that there is a lack of moderation of this site and it is now littered with spam
Can I return my Sonos system and receive a full refund Reasons, numerous phone calls with no good outcomes, always blaming Routers, phones, Pads, Boosters and the list goes on.Amazing no problems till they introduced the new App, check out how many pages on the Sonos system who have issues
This community Sonos page has become a joke with all the spam posts….page after page..I stopped at page 30…
Watching old reviews praise Sonos for their app and user experience really hits hard now. Such a shame what this “new” Sonos team has done. It’s like their tender egos were affected by the great work done by the people that came before them. Instead of maintaining and improving something that was already great they are trying to stick out to their managers as something “new and improved”. Just like the people responsible for deleting all the old and awesome YouTube content from the channel. Darko Audio on the Five
I think the back and forth between records/sonos/bluetooth for the wrensilva console is problematic in connecting multiple different Sonos equipments. I’m taking it off my Sonos for use with Bluetooth only. It seems to be the culprit in kicking off Sonos when you have multiple stations. I don’t think the system is capable of dealing with complexity of a unit that is sometimes connected via Sonos, sometimes connected via Bluetooth.. an expensive, not useful upgrade to a unit that would be better served via cheap Bluetooth connection. Ultimately way more trouble than it’s worth.. they should avoid collaboration if architecture isn’t created with the proper ontology. Would love if a wrensilva expert could correct the issue. Quite a few hours in and don’t see me recommending the unit to anyone.. picturing bros with beards talking about how cool it would be and not willing to put in the effort to make it work.. enjoy your ipas, know you’ve wasted a bunch of peoples time
Why is this Community so easily hijacked?
I have multiple Sonos speakers that I have owned for at least 6-8 years (multiple Play 1’s, a Play 3, a Beam). Originally the app was so simple to use, which is what an app should be for playing content over your speakers. Over the last year, the software updates have turned this simple and easy to use system into a complete disaster. The new software is really confusing and difficult to use. It’s like the tail is now wagging the dog (e.g. the tail is the software and the dog is/are the speakers). It like the folks running Sonos seem to think they are a software company and NOT a speaker company. This isn’t Tesla.I’m currently putting up with the frustration the software is causing, because I’ m so invested in the Sonos ecosystem. Something has to change!
So annoying my system went down. Sonos app says to go restart and add sonos products back. Hear chime and press button. What F**king button? Each one of the Sonos has multiple buttons. Then if you hit the wrong one you have to start over. And I have to do this for each one of my Sonos products. Just have to vent how sucky this is!!!
I am sure I can’t be the only one who is so frustrated by the new App. From connection issues between different systems, to multiple clicks to simply play music. Seriously guys - who created your latest app? It has gone backwards significantly. I have used Sonos for years and up until now would have recommended it. In its current state I would not.
Are these being delivered by snails? Got a free Move Bag with my Costco order and its telling me estimated ship date is 3/28/2025. Why is it taking 7 months to get a bag?????

I had four Sonos Connect Amps that were eligible for the 30% upgrade credit. These credits have been viewable from my account. Over the past few years, I have been replacing them with Amps from resellers other than Sonos with the intention of accumulating those credits for a larger purchase, such as the Sonos Arc Ultra. Today, I attempted to purchase the Arc Ultra through my account and discovered that all 4 previously activated, 30% upgrade credits had been removed. Upon contacting support regarding this issue, they informed me that the devices must be actively registered on my account for upgrade eligibility. As an alternative, they suggested utilizing one of the available 15% offers from my current 18-zone system. This is despite their own website still claiming in faq the following - “Can I resell, gift, or donate my product after activating orusing my upgrade credit? Yes. The next registered owner will not beeligible for the Sonos Upgrade Program.”It’s been a tough summer & fa
I have a few Sonos systems in two houses. One of the houses has both a local cable modem and Starlink system. Like most of you, it doesn’t matter what you do with your internet, Wi-Fi, hardware, app, etc., Sonos remains broken.Anyways, on my last support call, the tech said I need to fully dismantle my Starlink system as Sonos is not compatible with Starlink since planes block the satellite signal. Even though I had explained Sonos continues to have the same problems on either platform (one off, everything reset, I have a decent idea of what I’m doing), I said thank you and ended the call as I didn’t want to explain how Starlink, trigonometry, etc. work. 😂😭😂I’m curious to see what suggestions come next. Remove all green articles of clothing from the house? Refrain from dairy products for at least 12 hours before using the app? Make sure any tinfoil rolls are stored parallel to the drawer or cabinet fronts? :)
I have been looking at the upgrade program to change from my Beam Gen 2 to the new Arc Ultra. After contacting Sonos customer services, they said that the Beam Gen 2 was not in the program yet and all my other Sonos products were too new. I just do not see Sonos' logic here. It is like they are punishing the customer who has invested recently into their ecosystem, but only reward customers that do not. They would not even offer any discount on the new item. It is incredibly disappointing that they treat their customers like this after all the issues we have had to go through with their App recently as well!
What are all these posts about??
With the most recent updates I have to say that things are just about back to the way they were before "reconstruction ". Lots of unnecessary frustration and anger along the way. And the thing is, Sonos brought it on themselves. Hope they learned a lesson. I contacted Sonos tech support a few days ago and it was actuality a good experience.
Hi all, just after a little vent so it's on here, and maybe some help in case I'm missing something obvious. So, apologies in advance, but like a lot of people I have been using Sonos for a very long time, with my current system consisting of 8 speakers covering three rooms, all with voice assistant, and I have never had any issues with functionality until the dreaded App-Gate.Now, considering I chose Sonos for it's reliability as well as it's sound, dropping from an entirely Linn system (just because of size), I have always been impressed with he sound for such small speakers, and in my experience it's faultless streaming and room functionality.Since the app, like most I started having a lot of issues, and was disappointed they removed certain features, HOWEVER, I keep reading about updates and read one this morning about Sonos saying they have 90% functionality back, but am I the only one who's system keeps going screwy!? The other day my speakers wouldn't respond, and although this
This has been chewing at me for a while. So I thought I’d vent a see what others think. Now that Sonos seems to run regular 20% off sales does this not undermine the 15% off for upgrading? They should at least let you apply your upgrade credit to the sale prices. Now it just seems insulting. I’ll just keep the old working hardware and wait for sales. Seems like an FU to those that sent in old gear for credit. Now new users get a better discount.
I have been a Sonos user for a long time and I have seen the Sonos app evolve over time. This latest rendition is absolutely terrible. It is clunky, it is not user friendly, accessing and adjusting settings for different devices miserable and searching for music is a pain and when you find what you want, it often does not work. The whole reason I purchased Sonos years ago was to have all of my music devices connected and streamlined in one app on my phone. now that I have a number of Sonos devices, I am now stuck using it. Today I wanted to listen to pandora in my kitchen and sure enough, it wont work. I select the playist I want to listen to and nothing happens. Having to navigate the terrible UI for the app only for it not to work (again) was so frustrating that I created a Sonos account just to complain about it. I am at the point now where I want to just sell all my Sonos products, take the loss and start over with something compeltely new. Please Sonos, listen to everyone in the
Three times, Sonos support has ghosted me. They ask for diagnostics, which I send, and then I never hear back, and emails on that thread go completely unanswsered. The last two times this has happened, Sonos support had actually initiated the conversation with me after an email I’d sent to ceo@sonos.com.How do I get Sonos support to stop ghosting me?My system worked fine before the app update in May, and it’s been a source of daily frustration ever since
App won’t find speakers throughout home. When it does find them they won’t connect, esp. the Roam. I’ve had to use the Spotify app to play music as the Sonos app is useless. Volume controls on Sonos app are very difficult to use. Up and down controls very difficult to control. They’re so small.
