I'm wondering if Sonos can make a product that has Powerline network capability, in that way, you can connect your device anywhere to the power outlet and it connects to the network available on the place using the electricity directly to the router ?

Anything is possible, but the fact that they haven’t done so, despite the possibility that such a thing has been available for years should tell you that it is unlikely to be a profitable market to sustain such a device.

Hi @Churro

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Thank you - I've marked this thread as a feature request and it will be seen by the relevant teams for consideration. Keep the ideas coming!

Please bear in mind, however, that we do not actually support the use of Powerline in the first place, so it seems unlikely we’d include it in a product. There are probably also patents to consider.

When I first moved into my home, I didn't have ethernet anywhere and tried powerline adapters. This was the only time I have ever had connection issues with my Sonos speakers.

Powerline may work great for some, but is awful for many and I would not recommend them.

I avoid powerline here, too many issues, but there are big differences in the different brands and even models so you might find something that will work. I wouldn’t try myself.

Sonos won’t support it either so be prepared to remove it before asking for help.
