S1 app and firmware got an update recently to 11.15. Anyone know why or what was in it?

Although I only have three S1 devices left, it was the worst S1 update I can remember. Took ages to do (via PC), and once finished my Play:5s both needed forced reboots to be discoverable on the network again.

Please don’t tell me that…

Mom’s S1 takes an hour in the car away to sort out. I really hope I remembered to disable updates for it.

For what it’s worth: My S1 update to 11.15 went smoothly and quickly with no forced reboots, etc. Haven’t noticed anything different. System: iPhone controller, macOS controller, 3 Ports, 2 Play:1s, 1 each Amp, Play:3, ZP80, ZP100. No local content. If there is any documentation on what changed from 11.14 to 11.15 I’d love to see it.

Edited to add: In case relevant, I did this update manually, first stopping music in all Zones (OK, Rooms). Initiated the update via iPhone controller and when that was done updated the macOS controller. I’ve never liked the idea of automatic updates of anything, and with SONOS it sounds downright masochistic.

Sonos Connect S1 / Sonos Port downgraded to S1

Everything was working fine prior to the update.

Now Connect S1 is giving me errors access to network drive denied. No issues with the Sonos Port.

My network drive is a Synology DS218 SMB1 min . SMB 1 max

Tried removing and re-adding Music library multiple times.

Any recommendations?

I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Edit: not really sure what your issue has to do with this topic of S1 release notes.
