In our old flat two products were listed in Settings / System: “Ceiling speakers” and “Soundbar”. We used to select one or both speakers. In our new flat we only have the “Soundbar” but “Ceiling speakers” is still incorrectly listed in Settings / System. How can I delete “Ceiling speakers” from the products list?I have tried everything, both through S1 and S2 controllers. Nothing has worked.
Hi all,I was so excited to receive my Sonos Roam this week. First Sonos product for me, but I love the brand and my interactions with other Sonos products in the past (friends, showrooms) have always been great. Unfortunately, I sent my Roam back to Sonos for a refund. The problem? That power button at the back. Everything else is excellent, sound, design, size, I love it. But the power button is a really poor implementation. There is no click whatsoever unless you press the button really strongly. I never knew if I was successful switching it on or off. If you press the button a bit on one side it just doesn’t work. It got on my nerves and I ended up sending it back. I was thinking maybe I got a bad unit, but I have seen a few comments in Reddit which are consistent with my experience. how is it working for you? I might go to a brick & mortar store to try one out. If I can confirm all units are the same I will have to wait until this is fixed or get an alternative brand which,
Not sure how accurate this is, but according to this video from Audio Advice, DTS support is coming on November 21.Start at the 4:05 mark:
Sonos likes to hear what people want, so I’m asking the question (Yet again?). When will Sonos finally support DTS decoding for the soundbars? Seems to me that there appears to be a pretty reasonable user base (& lost sales) that is continually asking for this. Given the Arc has now been released, it would be an opportune time to support these codecs, even if they user has to pay a little more for the licensing cost involved (Via the Sonos App). Pretty sure its not easy to transcode DTS:X tracks to Dolby? (DTS is a different story)
I have a Bridge hard wired into my router, and a Connect Amp connected to an existing AV Receiver. Over the last 2 months, the Connect Amp has dropped off my system completely and had to be added as a new product whenever I want to listen to any music.I’ve resorted to completely resetting the system, and it worked for 24 hours!! I’ve turned everything network based off, rebooted my router, turned added the Bridge, waited 10 minutes, added the Connect Amp, waited 10 minutes then added other WIFI items individually - and it worked for another 24 hours. Before I put everything in the bin is there anything else that can be done to get the system working - it was working fine until the last update was released and support no longer provided.
Hi guys,my current setup is a 2016 Sony TV (xd49xd7005TV) +new AppleTV 4k (6gen): my TV has an ARC output, but no eARC. It supports up to Dolby Digital plus (no ATMOS).I’m thinking to add to this setup a Sonos Beam (2nd gen). I was just wondering how to connect the whole system. Should I connect Apple TV with my TV through HDMI and then my TV with the BEAM through ARC (using a regular HDMI cable)? Or should I do it some other way?And what sound will get out of it? Will it be Atmos? Dolby digital? Or even less? Thank you! Bart
Good Day,Have an intermittent issue with momentary audio blips from NVidia Shield 2019 Pro - Plex, Netflix, Prime etc. Setup is LG OLED B8, Monoprice HDMI cables, Arc. Previously had exactly the same issue with a Playbar. This happens once in maybe 10 mins, and is a blip - milliseconds. All is via TV apps, but they are poor in comparison to the Shield. As far as I can tell everything is up to date. Any assistance appreciated.
I have an Amp hooked up to our living room TV in our house. (I also have a home theater setup using Sonos in our barn/guest house with the big screen TV.) I’m really fed up with the Amp, after any blackout or power flicker, losing all settings. I’ve been using regular stereo audio input pulled from an HDMI switcher to feed the Amp. Whenever we get a power flicker, my Sonos devices lose their groupings and settings. (Which, really, is pretty sad considering that pretty much any device, in 2021, can save such settings in non-volatile RAM - except the high priced Sonos!)Every time we start up the TV and there’s been a power flicker (which we often don’t know has happened), we get silence. So, instead of using my IR all-in-one remote, I have to pull out my phone and run the Sonos controller and change the Amp input BACK to “Line In,” where I always leave it. What’s amazing (and sad) is that this system is on a UPS. Everything on that UPS keeps behaving normally during an outage or power fl
Hi, just connected new LG OLED TV to new Sonos Arc . All connections and set up verified by Tv and Sonos app. I can’t get anything to play with Dolby Atmos through the Arc even if I try Apple TV4K with movies featuring Atmos. Any assistance would be appropriated. TY
Before the latest app update, i was getting dolby atmos with hbo max on firestick tv 4k but not anymore. Does anyone here having the same problem?
Hi - I am working on a market/coffee shop setup in a 3000 sq/ft rectangular room. Looking to have background music in the space. What kind of setup would you suggest?
Hello Sonos Team Happy Wednesday, I was checking details on your Sonos Play 5 generation 2 & 3 and just wondering is possible to adjust-update the app so all generations can pair, which will increase customer experience since final users will be able to pair their devices to enjoy the high quality of this amazing products.Regards
I am new to Sonos. My Sonos Connect is attached to my desktop, thus leveraging the desktop app to play. I want to know if there is a way to play the system from my Sonos iPhone app when the desktop is shut down? I don’t want turn it on just to run the Sonos system.
Amazon music has a nice “my soundtrack” feature, which is based around music from bands you like, but also helps you discover similar bands and plays some nice random music. I can search a band “station” on the Sonos App, but I can’t find anything to do with “My soundtrack” - I’m guessing its just not available?
I am a long time sonos user but and just getting into podcasts. I don’t where to start accessing and playing podcasts.
Hello - I am connecting the Sonos Connect to my Bang & Olufsen Beosound 9000 so I can stream music wirelessly from my iPhone. I used the 7-pin RCA cable but the sound is barely noticeable when I use the Aux function on the B&O system. I tried to raise the sound to the max on my iphone and on the B&O system. Does anyone knopw how to fix the issue? thanks for your help.
I am in the beginnings of an extensive remodel and planning to use Sonos for home audio.I will have in ceiling speakers in one bedroom, kitchen, and likely the living area (which is in the same open area as the kitchen. i will also have a pair of outdoor speakers in a covered porch. If I desired to play different audio in each of these zones, then the speakers would have to be connected to different amps, correct? In other words, if the bedroom and living room are on the same amp, they would only be able to play the same audio right?
My returns parcel is being sent back to sender via UPS why? I have printed off the returns label and put the customs paperwork in an envelope and stuck it to the parcel.UPS haven’t given me a reason.Deric
My Sonos S1 system is running v11.2.9. The latest version listed on the S1 Release Notes page is 11.2.6.Why isn’t Sons updating this page when they update their software?
HiI have ended my premium account on Deezer as I would like to subscribe a premium account on Spotify instead of Deezer. Will the Sonos application be able to find all the titles in my Sonos playlist without any trouble? Or will I have to recreate all my playlists in Sonos ? (Meaning, does Sonos look for the titles on any platform independently from the music platform? Or is a title linked specifically with a music platform, meaning if the platform falls, the title is not available anymore in Sonos?) how shall I proceed? thanks!
Accident’s happen!Does anyone know where to get a replacement top. Thanks, Zac
Every time I open the sonos controller on my laptop it asks me to update. when I do this it fails. this has been happening now for weeks. There is no error number on the message.Current version is 13.3. its a windows laptop btw.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app which didn’t work.Sonos support has been hopeless here in Australia. Unable to get a person on chat and the bot assumed I was updating speakers. So I emailed the CEO Patrick who ignored my first email a few weeks ago. Just emailed him again now.Any suggestions please?
Hi,Client has 4 x B&O amplified active speakers in his set up. Front L/R and Rear L/R.He wants to add a Beam or ARC, but will the 2 x Ports FL/R and RL/R) if all WIRED by Ethernet cable through a gigabit switch connection run the front & rear speakers active speakers and work as 5.1 or full for music? If not, is the alternative to get him to throw away his several thousand euro B&O speakers and add Play 1’s? Cheers
Hello,I’m actually using a Sonos Connect to have the sound of my other Sonos material (Sonos Amp and Play:1 1st gen so no Airplay 2) on my old Yamaha home theater amp.I can’t figure it out if I will still need the Connect if I upgrade my amp for a model with ethernet/wifi/DLNA. Could someone enlighten me on this point?Thank you
I am a contractor and I am unfamiliar with Sonos equipment. I have a client that recently moved and he has a sound bar and surround speakers that seems to have used cat five cable to make the connection to the rear speakers. Is there a solution available to eliminate the need for the cat five cable for the rear speakers? The model he has is called play bar
