Every time I open the sonos controller on my laptop it asks me to update. when I do this it fails. this has been happening now for weeks. There is no error number on the message.

Current version is 13.3. its a windows laptop btw.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app which didn’t work.

Sonos support has been hopeless here in Australia. Unable to get a person on chat and the bot assumed I was updating speakers. So I emailed the CEO Patrick who ignored my first email a few weeks ago. Just emailed him again now.

Any suggestions please?

Please elucidate on “it fails” and “the message”.

Also, make sure the Windows OS is up to date. An out of date Windows OS can prevent other apps from installing properly.

If you have an anti-virus software installed try disabling it until after the Sonos app is installed.,

AjTrek1,

I start the udpate. then after a while it comes back with a generic message about the update having failed. no error number. pretty useless really.

Windows 10 all up to date and antivirus is not an issue.
