Do I still need a Sonos Connect with a newer home theater amp?

Hello,

I’m actually using a Sonos Connect to have the sound of my other Sonos material (Sonos Amp and Play:1 1st gen so no Airplay 2) on my old Yamaha home theater amp.

I can’t figure it out if I will still need the Connect if I upgrade my amp for a model with ethernet/wifi/DLNA. Could someone enlighten me on this point?

Thank you

If you want your non-Sonos home theater receiver to be included in your Sonos ecosystem, you need to keep the Connect connected to the receiver.

Shame, i was hoping to be able to choose the sonos amp as a source on the home-theater amp, all on the same network, and stream the sound on the speakers connected to the home-theater.

Thanks for your quick answer !
