Hi, I have 2 Play 5 Gen 1s running on the S1 app but my profile on Sonos.com only shows the equipment i have on the S2 app. How do i find out if the old Play 5s have an upgrade % off? Both have been upgraded to the latest firmware and are running on the same Network, just on different Apps
Bonjour,Je n'arrive pas à connecter mes enceintes Play 1 à ma box Bouygues (BBox Wifi6) ; impossible de trouver ma box via l'appli Sonos.Hello,I can’t connect mu Play 1 speakers to my Bouygues Box (BBox Wifi6) ; impossible to find my box via the sonos app.
Hi everyone I've had endless issues with my 3 Sonos One's and 1 x One SL that I have set up in my gym studio. They keep dropping out and unsyncing. I've tried improving the WiFi, reconnecting them all multiple times, installing the Sonos Boost and reconnecting them all to that. I am STILL having issues with one of the speakers inexplicably playing different music to the other 3. Coincidentally it happens to the the SL which is the odd one out although I don't think this is a contributing factor. I cannot explain it and don't understand how or why it randomly starts playing different music. We use one single phone to operate the system and play music from the Sonos app. How or why is this happening and what can I do to stop it???
Long story (sorry) I have had a Play:3 for many years… love the product. It used to be connected wireless to my old router (let’s call it “A”)I then switched internet provider and got a new router (let’s call it “B”)Router A is no longer connected to the internet, but still active (it is used as a switch to connect devices that don’t need internet), but router B is connected to the internet.I then removed the wifi connection to A, from my Play:3 speaker (via the Sonos S2 App). I then attached an ethernet cable from B to my Play:3 speaker. And it works perfectly. But still no wifi connection to B.Connecting my Play:3 speaker via ethernet cable is not solution (unfortunately) and I need to connect via wifi. But I cannot figure out how to do it. I have tried every to-do on this site and others. No luckWhen I try to add ‘a trusted network’ I press “Find System” and the little circle spins around 4-5 times and the times out and goes back to “Find System”…… not happy! What am I doing wrong?
My S1 system not only skips songs mid way through it also rotates which speakers are playing. My system has 6 speakers and it randomly plays on different speakers. My system is up to date.
HiI have had Sonos products for 10 years now. 2 x Ones (stereo pair - bedroom), 2 x Play 3’s. (Separate rooms), Soundbar and 2 x Fives (paired) plus Sub. The recent problem is that the Fives keep unpairing and now can only use intermittently once I have reset them. At the moment I have lost 1 x Five altogether! Also, they lose pLaying and get same music playing at different times. Usually have Radio 2 playing all day in the kitchen without any issue’s. Over the last few weeks cannot get them to work at all. WiFi is good and no issues with any of the other products around the house. Now as I type, the remaining Five has just gone off. Getting really peeved with this and thinking that going back to the old fashioned stereo from the 70’s would be more reliable, considering how much I have invested in this tech. Any ideas gratefully received. HELP
Hi.I’ve used Sonos Play 5 for many years on two different routers, and there haven’t been any hitches I couldn’t resolve. Now I have a new Zyxel 1661 Wifi 6 router, and for the life of me I can not get the mobile app to find Sonos. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I’ve plugged Sonos to the router for possible updates. I’ve reset the app. I’ve rebooted all the things and followed every instruction, (turn on Bluetooth etc) and still nothing. The NFC can see Sonos, but the app just cannot.I’m no techie, but I think it’s fair to assume that the router hides Sonos from the app(?) even though the phone is integrated with it. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have a play 5 connected directly to my PC audio out port. There seems to be major latency between when I test sound in windows and when the speaker outputs sound. Once the speaker catches up, then it works as it should in real-time.I use this in my office and it constantly stops working in the middle of meetings until I start mashing the sound icon volume up/down until windows dings and I can hear people again.Any help would be great.
I have a Sonos Play 5 Gen 1, and always thought the sound was superb.I recently tried streaming a Led Zeppelin track (Stairway to Heaven) and realised that the right hand channel has little to no sound. (That track is very good when testing stereo sound since the guitar and flute on the opening sequence are completely separated with the guitar on the left stereo channel and the flute on the right). So, my Play 5 Gen 1 has very low output on the right channel. Almost silent but not quite. The left side speaker sounds fine as does the bass.I’ve yet to open it up, and I am an electronics engineer so a repair should be relatively straightforward if I can locate the faulty item. Has anyone else had this? Is it likely to be the amp that is faulty more than the speaker, or the preamp rather than the power amp? Just trying to get some ideas before I tear it down. I’m not using it as a pair with another speaker, it is stand alone and one channel of its own internal speakers is what is not workin

How do I connect the PS5 to the Sonos one sl speaker system I have. I have total of 3 of the Sonos one speakers. Can the be connect to Sony PS5?
Hi, For the past few weeks by morning alarm on my SONOS ONE SL has not been playing. It did not play again the other morning so I ran a diagnostic report: 1149023650 Please would someone mind helping me with this? Many thanks
I have set up two both the S1 (for my old Play 5) and S2 operating systems. But, occasionally when I open the S2 app I get a screen which tells me the system includes products that aren’t compatible with S2. If I go to “more options” and “about my system” it lists the Play 5 with the S2 OS. I cannot see it as a room anywhere else. How do I get it off the S2 app to stop this happening?
Play 5 speaker decided to blow on me after about 2 years. I don’t even listen to music with loud base. I have about 20 different Sonos speakers and this is the only one I’ve had problems with. I contacted online service team and they said because it’s “out of warranty” i have to pay 400 dollars to replace. Plus I have to send this blown speaker back. So I have to pay 400 on top of what i originally paid? That just sounds crazy to me. I’d think that these speakers should last way more that two years for the price point. Makes me want to just take my money elsewhere
I have no power LED on the Play 5.1. I have 124VAC to the bridge rectifier and 170VDC out of the bridge. What would be the next logical place to look? Thanks in advance - Mike
I have multiple Play 5 (Gen 1) and have a weird issue where one of the rooms shows up and plays from my iPhone but on my Mac I only see 2 of the rooms. All the devices are indeed listed in my account online.. how do I get that the room on my Mac controller CJ
Hello, I experienced my hardwired Sonos five audio dropout yesterday. I have a Sonos boost that is connected to my router and the Sonos five is NOT used for surround sound. What could be the issue?
I have two Sonos ones in my bedroom one is a first GEN the other is a second GEN. Prior to using them in my bedroom they were surround speakers in my living room. I have since taken them from that group factory reset them then pair them together in stereo mode. My problem is only one speaker plays when it's in stereo mode. It's not the balance issue because I've already checked that. Sometimes if I airplay through my laptop it'll do stereo mode but most the time it's only one speaker even though they're both paired together. I factory set the speakers a few times now and still the same issue. So I have decided to put them back as surroundsound and move my Sonos play one speakers that were surroundsound's into my bedroom. I also am having the same issue with my Sonos play ones. They are in stereo mode but only one speaker plays a sound even though they are balanced correctly. I have factory reset them as well and that still doesn't fix the issue. What am I missing here? My Wi-Fi connec
HelloI’ve recently upgraded my Playbar to a Arc. I have 2 Play 1’s as surround speakers and the system has been faultless until I swapped them over. When I turn my tv on I have to disconnect my surrounds and reconnect them again for them to work. The only things I’ve changed is the Playbar to Arc and I’ve turned the Arc’s wireless on due to a Ethernet cable breaking and I don’t have a spare. I have just ordered a few Cat 6 cables due to arrive the weekend but this shouldn’t be happening should It?
Hello I have had a Sonos Play 5 (gen 2) in the same location for well over a 1-2 years working fine. Its recently dropped off my network. I have found that it will connect to the sonos network via wifi if I move it directly next to a sonos Five only until I move it back to 1 room over. I have tried changing sonos net channels, and power cycling all the sonos devices in my home no impact. I have preformed a factory reset as well no change. I plugged it in via Ethernet for diagnosticDiagnostic report: 542547821
I have some PLAY:1s and last year added a One SL to my system; I use the S2 controller. My problem is that Spotify will not play anything on the older speakers unless I start it on the One SL (which plays fine) then pair to an older speaker. I also have to keep them paired otherwise spotify stops playing. It's very annoying and I wondered if anyone else had an issue.
Hi! I just purchased 2 fives and would like to be able to use the line-in port to play cds with my Sony CMT-SX7.I already connected the 3.5mm to one of the 2 fives and the RCA (red and white) to the back of the CD player. However no sound is coming out from either five (set up as stereo). Is this the right setup or am I missing a step? Photos attached. Also, the setup in the Sonos app looks complete and whenever I play a cd, the Sonos app shows there is signal (the wave icon moves up and down) even though I have no sound at all. Any advice is highly appreciated.
Hello,I upgraded to v11.4 and the latest MIUI of my phone but it doesn’t find my Play5 S1 any more.Is there something I could try out? Adding a new system to the App doesn’t work. Does it it need some particular rights? I had my Sonos Five and loved it for years using line-in. Today I decided to connect it to wifi and I installed the latest update. Now, crossfade on Spotify is no longer available, and when closing my Spotify app the music keeps playing. Why would you do this Sonos? What is the reason?
