I’ve reset the lamp several times. Sometimes while plugged into the router and other times not. When I plug it into the router the speaker works with streaming services, when it’s on wifi only nothing works. Still shows up in the Sonos app on wifi and I can control status light and touch controls so it’s somewhat connected, but no streaming services work with it.
I’ve had my system for several years. When it works, love it. But it is very high maintenance and always has been. I can never just open it up and start playing something. When it’s not error messages due to path to music folder that breaks for no known reason, it just won’t play w/o resetting the controller, every single time. I can’t just play music, it gets really old to go through this monkey dance every single time I want to turn it on - which is daily since I use it to help keep some of our rescue dogs calm. Why am I forced to reset my controller every single day in order to use the app? I tried support chat but just looping in unhelpful AI responses. No thank you.
Hi all,Been using Sonos for about 7 yrs now. Currently use it in 4 rooms in the house. Have a boost and all devices are static IP via binding. In our master bedroom we have an Arc, SUB G2 and two Ones. All working fine until today. App said 2 ONES offline. So reset them, re added, all well. Over the next few hours the sub and two ones fluctuated between offline and connected. As of right now, it’s all working, one ONE is still showing as offline but it’s clearly not as there is audio coming out of it.Any ideas????
Hi, I need help. I have a big delay between sound and vidéo. I have a projector who is connected with hdmi on fire tv stick. And my sonos five is connected with aux cable to my projector. My delay is about à couple seconds. I try the synchronisation audio of fire tv stick but absolutly nothing changed. I love my speaker and I want it to work correctly
Hi all, I operate a yoga studio that is ~2200 SF and have six Play:1 speakers throughout the space. It’s a relatively open space with some concrete support walls down the middle. We’ve been having a HELL of a time with our Sonos system and I’m tempted to replace the whole system with something that is reliable! But before that, I’m giving it one last effort to see if there’s something I’m just not seeing. Here is what’s happening:Speakers drop out sporadically -- all of them at different times, usually for 20-30 seconds at a time. They seem to take turns dropping out. Sometimes two at a time will drop, but usually it’s just one :) Not all speakers kick on when we hit “play.” While teaching, I’ll hit “play” and it will often be 30 seconds before the speakers in the studio actually start playing. The music is playing on the other speakers in the space, so the song is starting abruptly. We frequently receive “the connection to Spotify was lost” messages, and entire songs will skip, or e
Hi, I have two play 3 speakers paired in my kitchen and had a power cut, once the power was back on only one speaker worked. Tried the reset options but still no joy. I have play 5 speakers paired in the conservatory, living room and play 3 speakers paired in the dining room all are working fine. Can you help.regards. Dave
Each time, I or my wife open the app we get different rooms showing up, most of the time one of our 4 speakers disappear.we have 2 Play 1’s a Play 3 - all older and a TV speaker think it’s a boom. We are using the latest app and it’s not like they are. not connected as if you shut down and restart the app they reappear but it’s so frustrating. Any idea why this is happening?? If have rebooted the speakers, removed and reattached them to the app and it works for a few days and then they start to disappear again - nothing seems to be a long term fix.
Up until the weekend my Play:1 was functioning perfectly. It has been powered on for months and used weekly with no issues. On Sunday I unplugged it to take it out into the garden while it was a nice day but the app would not see it. I have power cycled the Play:1 and the router Moved next to the router Hard wired with an Ethernet cable Downloaded the Windows app to try that Reset the device and attempted to setup as new I cannot even join the SONOS wifi when trying to set the device upI can see it on the router, I can ping it’s IP and the MAC matches the MAC on the bottom of the device. I suspect the firmware has failed on the device, can I force this again over the Ethernet with a rescue tool?
Hi all,My Play 3, obviously a fair few years old now, it no longer seems to power on. I’ve tried different power cords and plug sockets but no luck. Has it died of old age? ☹️Thanks.
Hi all,I’ve started experiencing issue with my Sonos speaker. This is a new issue, I’ve first noticed it on Tuesday, and my own trouble shooting (Even resetting the device fully), and help from support hasn’t fixed this. The speaker will play for 2-10 minutes, after that it will stop playing music, not be available to connect to, and offline according to the sonos app. Sonos app still shows that the music is playing. The device also shows as still connected to my network (Checking through router). Sometimes (1 out of 5 times) the speaker will then start playing my music after an hour or so, and the only way to stop it is to press the play pause button on the speaker. I’m absolutely lost on what else to check, I’ve gone as far as to reset my router, checked all DNS settings I could think of, even hard wired the speaker… Nothing seems to fix it. I’ve played it from 3 different devices, asked my friends and family to play from their speakers, and tried using a different wifi in a separate
So I’ve had a Sonos One for years, but have recently moved to a new house and with that comes a new router. Now obviously I want to change the wi-fi network on my Sonos One, but I’m stuck in a catch-22 here: Sonos tells me it can’t find wifi I press “Add Network” or whatever it’s called in the app App can’t find Sonos because it’s not on the network (duh) I also can’t access any of the settings in the app because the Sonos doesn’t have wifi access. I’ve done a factory reset but to no avail. So no way to fix this from my end I think. Any help?
Does anyone know if there’s a black power cord for the Symphonix picture frame?
I have a Sonos Arc and Play 1 connected to S2. I also have a Play 5 Gen 1 connected to S1. Both are connected to the same network When I connect to S2, it keeps suggesting that I connect connect the Play5 or open S1. This simply prevents me from listening to the Arc. How can I prevent this message from showing and thus blocking my listening. Disconnecting the Play 5 does work, but is not really practical.Sonos report number 1415913151 Moderator edit: combined posts
Hi,So i've upsated my router yesturday, was able to connect 3 symfonisk bookshelves via the app, but no matter what I try I cant connect my lamp. We’ve moved office, one of our speakers connects fine - serial ************* but I’m struggling to get the other speaker working - serial ***************. Both speakers are Play:1I’ve tried a factory reset on the speaker, then made it discoverable by pressing the play/pause and volume button simultaneously. This didn’t work as my phone couldn’t find the device. I also tried forgetting the wifi network and resetting it up. Unfortunately, only the speaker that already connected fine was discoverable and could connect to the wifi. When I tried to add the other device, it still wasn’t discoverable. Not really sure what to do next, would be great if someone knew what to do? Moderator edit: removed serial numbers
I was repainting a room in my house and decided to move my Sonos One SL that has been sitting there for about 8 months, never really moved it before. As I lift it up, ants come swarming out from under the bottom of the speaker. I’m completely shocked and have no clue what to do. Do I put it in the freezer in a bag? Do I spray insecticide on it? I don’t know what to do that doesn’t destroy the speaker. I looked this issue up and it seems like a common problem as well.
Hello. I’m lost… I have Several Sonos products with zero issues. Except one Play 5 stopped connecting to Wi-Fi after about 4 years of use (2017 purchase) issues. Except one play 5. After two years one of my play 5 surrounds stopped connecting to wifi. I’ve tried re-adding this speaker, deleting and re-adding etc. Multiple calls to tech support haven’t been helpful. When I connected via LAN it works perfect and I can connect it as a surround speaker. The minute I try and set up wifi or disconnect LAN I lose audio. Diagnostics as of 2/7/2023 @ 819pm CDT. Diagnostic # 1717621083wifi: 1g Metro Net Fiber running two Ubiquiti AP’s with one being about 6-10 feet away. Minimal packet loss and stable speeds of 300mb+ on heavy load days. Sonos app and local routers and AP’s are up to date. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. cheers
Hi all,I have just purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2, but I’m an Android User. Is it worth it to borrow an iPhone so I can set it up using TruePlay? Will I be able to return the iPhone once it is setup?TIA
Sonos sent me a replacement for my sub and I’m returning the defective one. I’ve removed the old sub from the system and then reset it. I then added the new one. However the old one is showing as not connected in the app and it’s prompting me to connect. How can I make sure the old sub disappears from my system? When I access my account on the Sonos website I can still see in the system page.
Hi everyone I finally bought a one sl and tbh am not happy with it. It sounds great. BUT: the connection seems a nightmare. It doesn’t connect automatically when I walk into the house. That i can live with. But when I stream music straight from the Spotify app it cut off the first few seconds of every new song i select. It is better if i go through the Sonos app to access Spotify but then I can’t use the volume toggles on my phone to change volume. Meaning: fish phone out of pocket, unlock, find sonos app, open app and THEN change volume. by far the worst though: when I go from listening to Spotify to sth else, say youtube or insta and then back to Spotify THERE IS NO SOUND. The track is running (time count running) but silent. So: get back in menu, disconnect, reconnect and then it works again. First world problems, for sure. But my old JBL blu tooth speaker was MUCH easier to live with. Didn’t sound as good, to be fair. as always with these things, the problem is probably me. Bu
Hello. We bought a house recently. The previous owner gave us a good discount on her Sonos system [not that we really wanted it, but we really did not want holes and useless cables in the walls].The sound bar under the TV connects to the TV via the optical cable and works well. The two ceiling speakers are silent. There is a Connect:Amp in the basement.I am looking for guidance on what to do now, please. I am clueless. Do I call Sonos? What’s the number?I have WiFi but, obviously, it’s not the same as the previous owner had. Please treat me as a complete newbie, because I am. What do I do?Thank you very much!!!
The model where Sonos pushes updates, and then all their customers get to then not pay for the speakers and amps, WE also GET TO WORK FOR FREE FOR SONOS got to stop. We get to endlessly restart and spend hours trying to send enough feedback to Sonos so they can eventually fix their product. It HAS got TO STOP. i deeply regret being a loyal customer.
I have two Play 3’s and a Play 1 grouped together. In order to use Airplay I just added a Roam SL to the system. When NOT using airplay, just using the app the way I always have, it works perfectly. But when I try to play music via Airplay from my phone, I have a big problem; The whole system works fine, but then the other speakers suddenly drop out leaving only the Roam is playing. Then it suddenly all kicks back in again. Back and forth. What the heck is going on??
Hi Have 3 Sonos 0ne model Play 1 .. can connect t0 two of the speakers but not the third which was possible 2 weeks ago .. Help
