Hi!5 of my sonos speakers are set up and working fine on my new router. However, 2 of my sonos speakers wont connect. I keep getting an message saying product not found. Ive done a hard reset, connected it via ethernet and even called tech support. I’m so discouraged.
My Play 1 speaker won’t connect wirelessly to my new BTHub2 router
Just picked up a pair of Era 300s with the Sub Mini for music listening only in my living room. I got the sub thinking it was just a given that I would need it. However, I find that I actually get more and better bass performance without the sub from just the stereo pair of the 300s. I was very surprised at this but after A/B testing with and without the sub, I’m getting better bass without it. Anyone else have this combo? I’m thinking I may return the sun to save some cash.
Hi, I am looking to purchase 2 in-ceiling mounted speakers and amp + Sonos Beam + Era100.Can I set up a Group that includes the ceiling speakers and Era 100 and another group that may include the Sonos Beam and In-Celing Speakers
Current set up in living room:75” TVSKY Q Sonos soundbar, sub and 2 x 5’s (group - living room)We want to use a projector in the living room without chasing walls for cabling - we have refurbed the room not long ago.The projector will go on the ceiling in the living room and receive video signal via hdmi from bedroom above living room. The problem is getting sound to the current Sonos surround set up without cables. My solution. Install a Sonos Beam 2 in the bedroom. When we want to watch the projector, “group” the Beam with living room group (mute the Beam).I know it works, and will produce sound. However, will latency be a major issue? And will the sound be in Dolby 5.1 etc or plain old stereo?Much appreciated.
Hello, How come I can only hardwire one Sonos device at a time? As soon as I hardwire one more Sonos device my broadband connection stops working. Maybe it is caused by a loop. When I used a DSL router this was not a problem. Now I use a Technicolor router for a coax connection. I don't use any switches or access pointsThank you in advance.
I have an orginal play 1 that is connected to my wifi network but I cannot see it in other music apps such as spotify - any ideas? Thanks
I have my play 5 connected to my PC via line in. I seem to have a problem with one channel on the line in on the play 5.I’ve tried the line in on other devices and it works OK. This was a lot of money when purchased so I hope its not now a brick ;-(
If I am watching something on Apple TV through Beam in my living room I can group the IKEA symfonisk in my bedroom and it works great. But if I try to group the Five in my office or Roam SL anywhere it sounds like it’s skipping or something. Hard to explain but definitely not listenable. Any ideas?
Is it worthwhile or possible to connect a legacy Sonos system to a new ARC system?
Upon initiating a session on Spotify, (or any service) the music promptly plays across all speakers. However, when skipping to the next track, there's an aggravating delay of 5 to 30 seconds before most speakers start playing the music. I recall reading a comment suggesting that assigning a static IP address to the system might be beneficial. I cannot find any real information about this type of set up. Is it true? Is there something else I can do or is this a normal occurrence for a Sonos system?
My sonos play 3 light will not turn green following factory reset, It only blinks amber, it makes no sound upon trying to connect.
Hi,I just notice my sub-mini is making an almost imperceptible humming / buzzing electric noise when connected to the electricity. It is only noticeable if I place my ear very close to the unit, almost touching it.Is it normal? Does your unit also make this noise?Second question, I also noticed the sub-mini does a small pop when starting some songs, not very loud. Is it normal? This happened since the last update (15.9).Thanks!
I have a two Sonos Play 5 speakers paired for stereo. They are set vertically. While looking at the manual for another topic I noticed something that confused me about set up of the stereo pair. In the product guide I have it under “Creating A Stereo Pair” it states“• When placed vertically, Volume Up is above the logo; Volume Down is below the logo.”The images shown in the vertical set up example on that page have both Sonos logos on the outside of the speaker. This is also how mine are set. I have also seen where both speakers have the images on the inside of the speakers. But, in either setting one speaker will have the volume up above the speaker and the other will be below the speaker.Looking at the Play 5 Gen 2 horizontally the volume up control is on the right. If you turn the speaker with the logo to the left for vertical placement the volume control will be above the logo as described above, Doing that though would place the left speaker Sonos logo on the outside of th
Hello, I have an Old SONOS Play:1 that I can't seem to pair, tried all the usuals and ran through he app test etc and am getting no response or connection. The Play 1 has a white flashing light. Any ideas or is it time to use as a door stop.??
I found that simply changing the name of the system might solve Airplay Error. For example, change the name of your system from “bedroom” to “bedroom 2”, and choose I haven't moved any Sonos speakers for the Trueplay.Hope this trick also works for you.
This is a simple question, but is there any way to connect a Sonos One speaker to a TV using a Sonossound bar?
My phone was able to detect the Play3 but when the Sonos Play 3 was supposed to play an audio code, there was no sound. I tried pressing on the volume up button but there was still no sound. Alternatively, I followed the app prompts and pressed on the play/pause button, but nothing happened either. How do I fix this?My account has no system either since I have not been able to connect to any of my sonos products.
Sonos worked fine for us for years but, for some reason our Sonos system pooped the bed several months ago and is, unfortunately, unfixable. Why Sonos tanked we cannot say. Sonos seems no longer to be able to maintain their own, simple tech. It’s slipped away from them. There is no way we have the time to be on the phone with Sonos each time there is a problem, and there is no way Sonos will help figure out the big picture. They can address why our speakers disconnect each time it happens (which is each time we try to use Sonos), but they can’t tell us why it happens every day, nor fix all the other problems we have with the app every day (play button doesn’t work, everything grayed out, spinning wheel, music continues to play after Sonos quits and many more)So, it’s clearly time to cut our losses, sell the system on eBay and try something else. What is a good alternative to Sonos? Being able to use Spotify is critical.
Hello If i use timed playback on my ERA100 the green light comes on for a few second's at the end of playback.Wouldn’t be an issue but it’s in the bedroom and wakes you up as your trying to nod off. Cant see a setting that stops this?
Hi all,I’ve been using an S1 Amp for a decade, it’s still going strong, but I’ve recently moved and have a lot more space where I live - having multiple speakers is now something I’m keen to do.But: my new place is large, and I have a vague memory that the speakers might need to talk via their own wifi network with each other, rather than using my home’s wifi network. If this is the case, I suspect I’m going to have a problem because brick walls and wifi aren’t good friends - I’ve had to put in multiple access points, but if S1 speakers don’t use the existing network, I might be out of luck with this plan. For what it’s worth: the room where the Amp is has an S1 Bridge with an ethernet connection to the rest of the network, but adding more Bridges in other rooms isn’t an option. So: do S1 speakers need to talk to each other directly (via their own mesh wifi), or can they communicate entirely through an existing wifi network?
Hi,does anybody know how to connect an DUAL Recordplayer to a SONOS One SL?I appreciate any help. Thanks a lot. Frank
Hi! Is it possible to use one Era 100 or 300 speaker as a single TV speaker in this way?Or is one of the sound bars the ONLY simple option?
I have an Sonos One SL that I mainly use with AirPlay on an iPhone 13 but my issue is that when I AirPlay things I cannot control the volume on my phone, I can have the volume at 0 or 100 it will still be the same, I’m forced to use the touch controls or the app, how can I fix that ?
I have recently changed Internet provider and swapped everything over. However, I have playbar, various play 1's all work OK. I have 2 play ones that when I connect them I lose everything else, any ideas please?
