I have a speaker group in 3 rooms. I use AirPlay to send audio to the AirPlay-compatible speaker in one room (bedroom), and then have the other two rooms (living room and office) in the same group. For some reason this group does not stay in place. Every time I play music, I see that Sonos has undone the group and I have to configure it again. Is there a trick to getting the group to stay configured as such? And keep it permanently?
I have one speaker on one system. the other 2 are on another. I have one more speaker to connect and want all on one system I also had to change my wifi extender to one band instead of dual band. should I create a new wifi network for just the Sonos system?my goal is to make this all work seamlessly and have full use of the dual band extenders this is the message I get when I try to connect to the other 2 speakers Moderator edit: Removed pictures with identifying information (serial numbers)
I am totally fed up. I have thousands of dollars invested in this product and now on Thanksgiving day the entire system has disappeared. I opened the app and I get an error message saying it can’t find any products on the network so does this mean I have to set the entire thing up again? Honestly, I hate this product. It has been nothing but inconsistent and unstable sometimes it works perfectly sometimes it doesn’t . really Sonos get your act together. This is no way to treat loyal customers. Your products are buggy and don’t consistently work. I’m looking to bail out of your system as soon as I possibly can thank you for ruining my Thanksgiving
HiI have a play bar a sub a bridge a play3 and 5 play1 in various rooms. My problem is that often usually when we have a party , the system plays up like 1 speaker will drop off then 2 then the whole system will drop off then it comes back on its own then when we think it’s safe to start dancing again it will drop. The whole system is over 10 years old so I can only use S1 and the bridge firmware will not update. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have just brough some Kef Meta Q11 speakers to add to my lounge where only music and audio is played. There is not TV in the room. I already have the Martin Logan sub and wanted to get opinions on this set up and what I can do to maximize the sound quality. Many thanks.

After merging homes with my fiance and getting the system set up I am unable to add (2) S Play1’s she previously had. I use the S1 controller app and currently have the following set up: Main Play 5Play 3Play 1 Would like to add the (2) Play1’s. I keep getting a message they are not compatible with the S1 controller. Is there a workaround? Cheers
When I pause for about 10 seconds and hit play again, It says it cannot play this content and either restarts the song or skips to the next song in the queue. Also the scrubbing bar gets out of sync with the music. It will be near the end of a song and the bar will still be in the middle. I am on the latest app version and all of my speakers are on the latest firmware version.
I have a large open plan house so I use the Zones feature to create 2 virtual speakers “Upstairs” and “Downstairs”. Each zone consists of a combination of Ones, One SLs and a Five. Ironically the Five in the kitchen needs a volume boost compared to the One that is also in it - currently the sound is biased towards the One. The Zones feature has a volume trim feature to compensate for this situation. The trim adjusts the volume from -15dB to +3dB on a per speaker basis. The Five does seem to respond but a 3dB boost is not quite enough. I need to dip the One by a few dB but the trim control has no discernible effect on any of my Ones. Anyone else noticed this before I submit a bug report?
Click over here to see the videoThe video shows how my beam gen 2 flexes up and down when pressed, is it normal or is it some qc problem which took place and this product slipped through it, just so you guys know I purchased this yesterday itself and it has been like that since it came out of the box. Is this normal for a beam gen2?, please do let me know!, i will opt for a replacement from the retailer I have purchased regardless. But i do want to know whether its normal or not since i will be getting it again and want to make sure if its okay or not. Thank you so much guys!
This has been requested in the past, but seems to have gone dead. I have an Arc Ultra, Sub Mini, and two Fives. I’d like to use the Fives for hifi audio and as additional front left / right channel speakers on the Ultra. Is this on the roadmap? Should I just return the Ultra or the Fives and wait to see if Sonos delivers what seems like fairly obvious functionality?
I’m Using a Virgin Media Hub 5 router - I can no longer split networks after a recent update, greyed out… lost connection to all my 7 speakers. Playbar and Sub work on TV only. I have a mesh network - I have split the networks on that, but still no luck connecting speakers. I have a boost - I tried connecting that, but it kept picking up another system. It might connects for a few mins, but will eventually say no system available. Help needed, thanks!
Hi everyone! Hoping someone here can help because I’m at a loss.I have five Sonos speakers in my office: Two Era 100s One Sonos One One Sonos Move One Sonos Roam The Sonos One and Sonos Move were previously connected to other Wi-Fi networks, but the 2 Era 100s and Roam were brand-new when I opened my office. Ever since installing everything, I’ve been having constant connection issues. I’ve worked with both my IT installer and Sonos Support, but we still haven’t found a solution. Since it is a healthcare office we have 2 wifi’s - a main one & a guest wifi. I have tried disabling the guest wifi so there is no interference but it still happens. Here’s what’s happening: Every day, I have to reset every single Sonos speaker and reset the network just to get things back online. The system will often split itself into two separate systems — the Move and One appear on one system, and the other three appear on another. Other times, everything shows “connection lost.” Has anyone de
We have two Sonos from Ikea (SYMFONISK). These worked fine, but then the power went out and now it won’t connect. Last time this happened I reset and updated the firmware of the router and connected the Sonoses with ethernet cable to update the firmware on those too. The router update required that I changed the SSID of the network because it had illegal characters so I did that and had to reconfigure all my devices to the new SSID. This also made the Sonoses work. However, I don’t want to change the SSID of the whole network at home just so I can make the sonoses work…Here’s what I’ve tried: Factory reset both the Sonos and gone through the configuration setup again. It finds the Sonos and plays the chime and I write the SSID password, but then it says it can’t connect and that I should still find it in the app (which I don’t) Resetting the app from settings Reinstalling the app from App Store Connected on of the Sonos to a ethernet cable. This works, but then the Sonos has to be co
have just purchased sonos era 300 when i try to connect to wi fi it tells me that it can only connect to 2.4ghz my router is less than a month old and works on 5 gh7
Hi Community, I have a pair of Fives and Sub 3 set up in a 28’ X 18’ foot open space.. The Fives are wall mounted and centred on the long side. Space has concrete floors with rug and soft furnishings in the middle, the space is open timber frame construction, with a peaked ceiling height of 28’ and large wooden beams breaking up walls. I’m thinking of adding a single Era 300 opposite the Fives to fill in the sound. Also, unless I can reverse the L-R of the Era speaker, it seems it would be firing opposite to the mains. Music only. Thoughts?
Hi, I have a stereo pair and have my turntable plugged in using line in. My question is, can I add my CD player to the line in on the other speaker in the stereo pair? So a source into each line input. Naturally, I’d only only be using one at a time, but it would save the need for an additional pre amp. Thanks
My Play 1 produce a distorsión only with high notes, what can be the cause and how can I fix it. I have it in surround mode and the other Play 1 does not have that issue.
I just purchased 5 Era 100 for my office. My office already has a Port and three One SL’s in the system. I connected the first three Era 100 with no issues. However the last two connect to my phone, but won’t connect to the wifi. I have factory reset, system update and reset my phone. I have located the speaker to different areas of the office including right next to the router. What else can I do?
Hello,I just received a pair of ERA 100s. I am able to link my beam to one ERA and listen to the TV. The TV remote controls the volume on Beam. TV volume on ERA has to be controlled via app. Is there a way to link the two where the tv remote will raise and lower the tv volume through the ERA and Beam at the same time?
What’s up … I’m new to the Sonos fam! Trying to figure out the placement of speakers.Era 300’sOn stands behind the couch are a no-go for us. So I’m looking at mounting them on the wall. Placement AInstalled 2 feet below the ceiling above speaker (tray ceiling height is an additional foot higher). Requires me to angle (not tilt) them 45 degrees to hit center of room.Placement BInstalled 2 feet below the ceiling above speaker (tray ceiling height is an additional foot higher). Speaker would shoot straight out into room towards back of couch. Sub PlacementSubs arrive Wednesday! I bought two of the Sonos 4’s. I was thinking of placing them on each side of the TV table. Good idea? Bad idea? I’ve included a few angles of the room to help visualize it. Thanks in advance!
Hi Community.May be is a so obvious question but before a purchase, I’d like to be sure if having severals ERA 100 in different rooms, can I reproduce different audio source in every room from different devices? like reproducing audio files from a phone in Room A whilst listening TV in Room B.Also curious to know the reverse option, listening the same audio source in all rooms. Appreciate your help
I have a system that includes Ones, Play 1s, Amps, a Ray, Beam and Arc. The Amps and sound bars are wired connections. System works “fine” other than never-ending problems with the buggy app. I added a stereo pair of ERA 100 speakers to a new room - they connected to my system fine and I can play music on them no problem, BUT when I try to add one of my other rooms to play with the Era 100s it won’t allow it - it just won’t add the new room after I select it in the app - no error messages or anything. Same goes if I try to connect the Era 100s to another room that is playing music or if I put them in a group together. I have tried this with virtually every combination of speakers. There is one weird sort of exception - if I add one of the rooms/products that is connected via Ethernet to the ERA 100s or visa-versa then then it shows the added room as if it was playing music in the app, but does not play any sound through the speakers for the added room although I can play/pause the mu
Hi everyone, My purchased items for a new kitchen, living & dining area consists of: Arc, Sub(3), OneSL & Era 100. Question is what setup would you recommended for mainly music playing but also surround sound TV? Bear in mind I may place one of either SL or 300 in the undercover outdoor area. Thanks in advance (Drawing below for context)
Speakers cutting in and out and making random popping sound
