Hello,I just received a pair of ERA 100s. I am able to link my beam to one ERA and listen to the TV. The TV remote controls the volume on Beam. TV volume on ERA has to be controlled via app. Is there a way to link the two where the tv remote will raise and lower the tv volume through the ERA and Beam at the same time?
What’s up … I’m new to the Sonos fam! Trying to figure out the placement of speakers.Era 300’sOn stands behind the couch are a no-go for us. So I’m looking at mounting them on the wall. Placement AInstalled 2 feet below the ceiling above speaker (tray ceiling height is an additional foot higher). Requires me to angle (not tilt) them 45 degrees to hit center of room.Placement BInstalled 2 feet below the ceiling above speaker (tray ceiling height is an additional foot higher). Speaker would shoot straight out into room towards back of couch. Sub PlacementSubs arrive Wednesday! I bought two of the Sonos 4’s. I was thinking of placing them on each side of the TV table. Good idea? Bad idea? I’ve included a few angles of the room to help visualize it. Thanks in advance!
Hi Community.May be is a so obvious question but before a purchase, I’d like to be sure if having severals ERA 100 in different rooms, can I reproduce different audio source in every room from different devices? like reproducing audio files from a phone in Room A whilst listening TV in Room B.Also curious to know the reverse option, listening the same audio source in all rooms. Appreciate your help
I have a system that includes Ones, Play 1s, Amps, a Ray, Beam and Arc. The Amps and sound bars are wired connections. System works “fine” other than never-ending problems with the buggy app. I added a stereo pair of ERA 100 speakers to a new room - they connected to my system fine and I can play music on them no problem, BUT when I try to add one of my other rooms to play with the Era 100s it won’t allow it - it just won’t add the new room after I select it in the app - no error messages or anything. Same goes if I try to connect the Era 100s to another room that is playing music or if I put them in a group together. I have tried this with virtually every combination of speakers. There is one weird sort of exception - if I add one of the rooms/products that is connected via Ethernet to the ERA 100s or visa-versa then then it shows the added room as if it was playing music in the app, but does not play any sound through the speakers for the added room although I can play/pause the mu
Hi everyone, My purchased items for a new kitchen, living & dining area consists of: Arc, Sub(3), OneSL & Era 100. Question is what setup would you recommended for mainly music playing but also surround sound TV? Bear in mind I may place one of either SL or 300 in the undercover outdoor area. Thanks in advance (Drawing below for context)
Speakers cutting in and out and making random popping sound
Is there a way to connect my Sonos Sub back to my system it was before now I can’t. It keeps asking me to update it but it was working fine before I recently switched spot to a new portable TVs stand….PLEASE HELP….
I have a Beam in our bedroom, and another one in my exercise room. I have reset and setup up both of them. When I turn on the TV in the exercise Beam, it combines with the bedroom beam. How do I get this behavior to stop, and make them separate?
I can’t set up my play 5 gen 2 to wifi. I can only Connect it vía an ethernet cable. I ve tried everything and nothing works.
Hi everyone, I’ve been experiencing occasional audio dropouts on my Sonos setup over the last week. The music will play fine for a while, then suddenly cut out for a second or two before resuming. It’s not constant, but noticeable enough to be distracting.I’ve already tried rebooting my router and speakers, and the signal strength in the room seems okay. Before I start changing network settings or switching channels, I wanted to ask the community:- Is this usually related to WiFi interference?- Does enabling or disabling SonosNet make a difference?- Any recommended steps for diagnosing where the issue is coming from?Would really appreciate any tips from people who’ve dealt with similar dropouts. Thanks!
I’m exploring changes in our home music system. For decades, we’ve used a NAD receiver ( a C740 from around 1998) with two passive Polk speakers, a CD player and a turntable, all in the living room. The NAD has no phono pre-amp so I’ve wired one in and we play our vinyl successfully. We’ve recently added a pair of ERA 100’s in a separate room, and finally joined the streaming generation via Tidal. Love it. In a third room, we’ve added a Beam 2 and a mini-sub to our TV set-up. Love those, too. Sometimes I add that room in when listening to music via Tidal. But right now, the old-school stereo isn’t connected to the Sonos gear. As a separate matter, we’d like to swap out the stereo’s pair of Polk SDA Compact bookshelf speakers (which ain’t so compact) for a pair of smaller speakers. The Sonos 5’s come to mind as a means by which the old NAD can connect with the new. Ideally that connection could work both ways. The NAD has left and right channel pre-amp OUT ports in case a user wants to u
One of the stand pole caps, for Era 300 stand, cracked during installation. How do I get a replacement?
My play5 gen2 operate only by Ethernet. No way to Connect by Wi-Fi. Suggestions?
After 11 years of faithful service, one of the speakers in my Sonos home has died. It was the first Sonos product that I purchased back in 2014. Now I have a home full of Sonos speakers that I’ve purchased over the years, all of them S1 compatible, and will not work on S2 (don’t get me started!). What can I replace the Play 5 with? Thanks.
I have had the ERA 3 for about 1.5 years, and after Sonos made an update to its system last year, I am now unable to pair this speaker to my computer or my iphone. I have spent hours trying to figure this out with the help of Sonos technicians and with the Sonos community. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed in Sonos for not fixing this problem and am disappointed that I bought this speaker as an upgrade. It has been anything but better.
Could we return all our speakers for a refund since Sonos broke their system? Is anyone aware of a class action we can join? It’s been YEARS and they keep promising fixes that never come. They used to work fine until the S2 software broke it all.The audio cutouts make it unusable and the speakers are now decorative.I literally have THOUSANDS of dollars invested now useless.
One of my Era300 speakers has started making a repetitive, but random rhythm, drumming sound. Whether I am playing music or not. Once I turn it on and off, it stops for a while and then restarts. Anyone else have the same issue? It’s only the left one that does this.
I have a Sony Bravia TV with a soundbar. The soundbar’s not brilliant. Would it help to get a couple of Sonos speakers to use as surround sound? And how would I connect them? I already own a Sonos Play 1. Can I play my telly through that?
How do I connect my hifi system without wireless connection to Sonos era 100 speakers?is a cable available?
I dropped my Era 100 by accident twice. It feels like something is broken inside the speaker. It also sounds too bad. Does anybody know some technician in Mexico City, to fix my Era100?I just discovered that it sounds better upside down. Thanks
I recently changed my Wi-Fi router and updated my system with the new configuration. However both SL Ones disappeared and after factory resetting both, they still would not connect. I attached one speaker to the router with an Ethernet and was able to set them up and added them as surrounds for the Beam. However on removing the Ethernet the connection goes and they get dropped from the set up. Any idea why and how to get them all wireless again?
After buying a Five and naively expecting it to pair up with my Play 5 2nd Gen for vinyl listening, I had to return it and am now looking for a 2nd Play 5 Gen 2 second hand. Apart from ebay are there any other resources it’s worth keeping an eye on? Or is it just a question of snapping up quickly when they’re listed?.. Seems like they’re like gold dust...
I was very happy with sonos until last year when I replaced sonos playbar with arc. I lost deep bass now with arc (arc, 2 sonos ONE and Sub) the bass is really hollow like some cheap speakers. And recently if I unplug the speaker for few minutes I lose all the speakers. So frustrating to reconnect them back.
Is the Arc Ultra compatible with Play:1 and first generation Sub?
The Sonos app will not find or recognize my Beam. I’ve tried everything that I know. This is so frustrating. I was about to drop another $2K on more Sonos products. Not now! I’M GOING TO PURCHASE THEIR COMPETITORS PRODUCT. YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THE SAME. Companies that make customers jump through hoops and still leave them with unresolved issues eventually go out of business. Sonos is on there way down that trail.
