Hello, Why has my SONOS ONE SL WHITE suddenly stopped working? I purchased 4 of them at the same time in February 2023. Since then I’ve had 1 which has been playing up, I had to return 1 of them a month later as it was faulty and turning on ( I tried all the steps online about resetting ) and then received another one from JB-Hifi only to now find this one not powering on. The others work fine, drop out every not and then but still manageable.. Can anyone help? Not very happy with this purchase right now, It’s only lasted just over 12 months while my speaker I got from Kmart has lasted me well over that... Thank you!
I’ve just moved home with 3 products - 2x Play 1 and 1x One SL, but need to set up a new system. For some system, this is proving incredibly difficult and throwing up some strange issues along the way. First off, the app wouldn’t recognise any of the speakers. I performed a factory set on each and they have since managed to connect.Play 1 x2 - goes through the motions of setting up as a new system on the Sonos app, culminating in a message saying the products have been added but may not show up under system until they are unplugged and reconnected. Unplug, reconnect - no system found. One SL - doesn’t even go through the motions on the Sonos app, but on the old Sonos S1 app it will connect using the infinity button and then...nothing. No system shows up, no other products can be connected.Several hours and a conversation with Support later - I still can’t set up any products on a system.Anyone else experienced this? Any advice would be gratefully received, thank you!
I own a play 5 gen 1 and recently bought another secondhand and it sounds completely different to mine. The only difference between them is one is white and the other is black. When I place them side by side the black one sounds great and the white sounds like one or both of the mids are missing. It makes me feel like my ears need to pop.Is there a way to test that mids are working?
have a play 1 and play 5 connected by wifi for years. recently sonos app reports no speakers are connected. leaving the play 1 untouched, i connected the 5 via ethernet and it worked as did the 1 still on wifi. by disconnecting the ethernet cable from the 5, the wifi connection on the 1 was lost. how do we get both of these back on wifi?,

Planning an outdoor, covered patio. Any problem:1- using Beam sound bar since it is outdoors (dry but exposed to temps and humidity)2 - mounting the Beam above the TV using the advertised TV mount pointing up instead of down.Thank you.
I'm trying to add a speaker. When I open the app it says I first have to upgrade my products, tap start, then it comes back with "all products up to date", tap done, then it says I first have to upgrade my products... Etc and around and around. Its driving me crazy.
Can someone lend a hand? I moved a few days ago and I've been trying to set up my Sonos play 1 and Sonos one 2nd gen. I'm at wits end. More factory resets than I can say. Things work great when I use the Ethernet to hard wire but who needs two speakers hardwired in a closet?! The minute I move them, it asks me to set up a new network and then find new devices, do a factory reset and an update and then I get an error and we begin again. What is happening? Is it time to move to a new system? I've never had such challenge with Sonos before.
My IKEA symfonisk shows as connected to my wifi router but the Sonos app cannot find my product. Suggestions?
I’ve used Sonos products successfully for years...until the release of the new app. After spending 5-6 hours waiting in the queue and on chat sessions, the problem persisits. When using the app to play through any of our 15 devices, or a combination of them, the audio will quit. The music still appears to be playing, but the audio is out. I asked to chat tech to elevate my issue to a next level tech and for a direct line to a tech so I don’t have to wait online. No such luck. So I wait for at least 45 minutes to speak to a tech and have to repeat everything that’s been done. Nothing has changed in my home with my network, location of my speakers, or devices that may cause interference. If I’m asked one more time to isolate the problem, I will scream. I have isolated the problem for you Sonos, the app release and my paid music service of choice, are not compatible. I will spend my time waiting to talk with reps and or chat with reps letting giving your products 0 star reviews
I have a Boost, a Play 3 and two Play 1s. I usually operate using the S2 app.A few weeks ago the app showed “no products found”. This has happened before but has fixed itself by switching wifi on and off. Now it won’t fix at all. As a last resort I have factory reset all products and set up the new system again. Products are successfully added but still don’t show up in the app. This call for help is my final attempt to fix it. If it’s not fixed then I give up and leave Sonos as a customer forever. I’m done with all the recent issues. Thanks for your time in reading this.
Can you factory reset a single speaker so that you can restart the installation
I have an Orbi mesh set up with three satellites - one of the satellites is wired as it is at the top of the garden in the gym. I also have a Sonos Play 3 in the gym. I am not using sonosnet. The Sonos Play 3 in the gym takes a very long time to be discovered by the app each time and then there are huge delays (as in 30 seconds) in being able to play tracks, move on to next track, pause music etc etc. The rest of my sonos set up which is in the house (not at the top of the garden) runs like clockwork. Is there something I’m missing here??
Arc + Sub 3 + 2 SL OnesJust above my head are two Klipsch in walls with 8” speakers + tweeters. Wiring is in place and tested by me. I want to upgrade my surrounds. I can buy a Sonos amp and connect the Klipsch speakers or purchase a pair of Era 100s. Or I can wait until fall and hope for a surround-improved Era 300. Or…? I am interested in hearing opinions from those who have upgraded from the Ones, what paths were chosen and how the process worked out.
Hi everyone,I bought a Sonos set second hand and I am experiencing some problems. For some reason the app is very slow while using it with my system. When I use the app at my friends place it is sooo much faster. Also randomly speakers stop playing music and then start again. Sometimes they stop completely. Especially my playbar was having this issue. Everything is connected with a Sonos Boost and I have connected the playbar via ethernet, this seems to have improved the situation a bit.My system includes:PlaybarSubwoofer gen 12x Sonos OneSonos BoostDoes anyone know how to diagnose the issue? Or what is going wrong? I have a feeling that the Sonos app designates one speaker as the main one and that is where the music is controlled and that it is going wrong there.
my sonos speaker is connected but not playing
Hi, I have a One and One SL which I use as a stereo pair, if I bought the Era 100, can I add that to the existing system and play music through all 3?
I have 5 play:1 speakers, and often experience failures on one or more of them. The music plays and suddenly the speakers alternately stop working, then start again, this happens over a period of several minutes. There is good wireless coverage, I have tried switching between the channels. The software and the app are updated, other apps can access the web just fine - why do these failures happen??
So, I’m trying to understand how Sonos currently deals with SonosNet? My Sonos environment is a good 12 years old, and was using SonosNet wireless before connecting directly to reliable wifi networks was a thing. I’ve had issues with SonosNet on and off over the years. As I’m currently on an On period of having issues with it, and I have a very reliable wifi network these days, I figured maybe it’s about time to move off of SonosNet and dedicatedly use only WiFi and wired connections. I went into my network settings and could see info about SonosNet and my wifi network there. But it wouldn’t let me do anything until I did an app update, so I did. I’m now on the *new and redesigned* app. However now, when I go into Network settings, I see nothing about SonosNet, the ONLY thing I see is my wifi network there. Yet, if I go into look at About My System, all my devices say they are connected by WM: SONOSNET, including both my wireless and wired speakers. The only one that say
Hello, I have a system of 8 various Sonos speakers that I set up about 6m ago. The system has been working great. But a couple days ago the two Era 100s (newest speakers in my system) stopped working. I tried the a factory reset. Seemed to work, but when I tried to add them back to my system it said unable to connect. Deleted and reinstalled the app, tried it again. Still saying unable to connect.Any advice? Thanks,
Trying to decide best placement for my 2 rear ERA 300 speakers. I want to place them higher up on the wall close to the ceiling, I know the ideal distance is 1-2 feet below the ceiling for wall mounts. I don't want them in the middle of the wall.Option 1)I think this will be best placement, but it's both speakers to the right & left of the circle mirror. This would allow me to place them 1-2 feet below ceiling. The entire wall is 9 feet wide, so it would allow about 7.5-8 feet between the speakers.Option 2)The archway really complicates things because if I mount it in the middle of the archway it's way too close to the ceiling. So I could mount it all the way to the right side of the picture, because of the archway, I would only be able to get the speaker about 10" from the ceiling, the 2 speakers would be about 20 feet apart.Any advice is appreciated!Option 1Option 2Any help is appreciated! I know the archway does not make for the ideal situation!
Merci! Moderator Note - Translation by Google:Hello, one of my first generation Play5 speakers has been making very bad sound for a few days. It hasn't moved and the second Play5 located at the other end of the room continues to work perfectly: apart from considering it ruined, is there anything to be done? THANKS!
I have made a significant investment in my Sonos system and it has become unusable. I want my money back. What makes this even worse is customer support. You have an 800 number that you can dial with wait times between 45 and 55 minutes, pretty much no matter when you call.I can begin to tell you how much I now hate SONOS.
I have the latest version of the app, the new version. Now, when I play music, it cuts out, primarily with Amazon HD music. It’s frustrating because one of the benefits of having Sonos is being able to play music throughout the house, but speakers are not responding when I try to play Amazon HD music, which I subscribe to. Help!
Update available today. Installed on first pass for the first time in a long time. Forced to re-do Trueplay and EQ related settings for main room surround setup, the only speakers that regularly use Trueplay. Was hoping for an accompanying Ace firmware but no luck.
