Hello, My parents property has a Sonos network, I have noticed that when I go to their house, use their wifi, then return home I cannot connect to my home Sonos. I am ‘on’ their Sonos system too (I.e. I can control their system when I am there using my phone and their wifi).  However, regardless of whether or not I control their system while there, when I return back home and try to use my system the app simply displays the ‘Unable to connect…Let’s fix it’ error. I run through the steps, it tells me ‘We’ve found multiple systems’ (mine and my parents). The only option from here is turn it all off and on again - annoying. my wife’s phone / iPad that hasn’t been to my parents house does not have the issue, connects to our home system fine.  I can also still see the speakers on AirPlay and play to them so I’m pretty sure it’s an app / iPhone issue? I’ve tried to turn off ‘private wifi address’ on my iPhone as shown in a similar issue but this hasn’t worked. it’s worth noting that overnigh

A few weeks ago I’m alone at home minding my own business. Suddenly my Sonos system starts playing a song (“Faith” by Stevie Wonder) without my intervention. It plays for a few seconds and then the volume goes up to max. Panic!We live in a flat and have Sonos in several rooms. Poor neighbors…After a few seconds i got myself together and I managed to open the Sonos app and press “pause”. Directly, the music “unpauses”, I “pause”, it “unpauses” and then I turn down the volume to a minimum and then nothing.At first, I suspected that some intruder had gained access to our WIFI and started going over the security logs of our Unifi (Ubiquiti) system. Nothing suspicious there. After that my guess was that one of the neighbors that I know has Sonos in their homes mysteriously had connected to the system. As abovei have recently purchased a sub mini I intend to pair it with my Sonos amp which is in my server rack under the stairs and feeds a pair in ceiling sonance in our kitchen however while the sub will pair to wireless Sonos Ones in another room it simply will not pair to the wired ampi cannot run an Ethernet wire to the location of the subpreviously I had a sub gen 1 running wirelessly with this same setup in the same locationam baffled - any suggestions ?

Hi. I just bought two Play:5 gen 1 - just for the sole purpose of use their upgrade option. The seller had accidentally activated the upgrades on both. After calling the Sonos support we were that the update option had been deactivated and that it would show up on on my account after setting up the speakers on my system. I am able to see the devices on my account, but no upgrade option. The seller had a third device of which he also had the option deactivated. That device shows up at his account with an upgrade option. But the speakers i purchased is now (of course) gone from his system. What to do?

We have used our phones and Macs with our SONOS Beam successfully for 2 years, and we haven’t changed a thing. We use the music stored on our Macs, which still works perfectly with SONOS. We have used the S1 app on our phones with Tunein only to listen to the radio. Our phones will no longer connect to Tunein. My phone is an iPhone 6S, which will not run the newest app. My wife’s phone is an iPhone 13, which has the newest app. Neither phone works with Tunein. After each unsuccessful try, we get the message that our phones are no longer connected to the Internet, and we have to reset our network to get them back on.

I have a digital-only preamp and would like to play vinyl through my system.If I connect my record player to  the analog in on my ZP80, I cannot get it to pass through to my digital preamp, even though the preamp can see a connection. Do I need to do any special config to get the ZP80 to input an analog  source via RCA and then output it to the toslink connector? Thanks in advance!

Hi, is there any reason on why I can’t stream music using Apple Music in my Apple Watch to my Sonos Beam soundbar?. This works perfectly with my iphone, but for some reason the Sonos device does not show up in my list of devices when I try to play music from my Apple Watch Ultra. I also tried with my wife’s Watch (Series 6) and we got the same result :-(.Is this a bug with the Sonos Beam device itself?.  (Adding more to this, Im able to stream music to my LG TV, which also supports Airtplay, so this should be an issue with the Beam soundbar.)

My sonos amp will no longer run the automations on Apples home app.  It was working perfectly for about two weeks then suddenly stopped.  Wifi is strong, I have several apple tvs near by to work as hubs and all of them have apple music set up fine.  Apple made me remove the sonos amp from home app then putting back on.. still nothing.  They told me to talk to sonos. Any thoughts?  Thank you in advance.

Need some clarity. Setting up a new TV and Sonos system. ARC soundbar + AMP driving 4 in-ceiling speakers (setup as pairs of L/R rears)How do I connect these without a router? The ARC is going to the eHDMI input on the TV. How do I connect the AMP? Can that go to the Optical input on the TV using the Sonos HDMI to Optical converter?

Hello. We have several in-ceiling speakers connected with a Sonos Connect. Every time there is a power outage, the in-ceiling speakers stop working. In the app, it says music is streaming to the Connects, but no sound comes out. In the past, I’ve had to restart the amp and the Connects and then wait sometimes 24 hours for sound to come back. But on the most recent outage, I am not able to get sound at all. Like I said, the app is showing music to be streaming, but no sounds comes out. Thanks for the help!

including turning off tv speakers, i just got arc and sub.  set was a breeze but i did have to use the optical cable.  set up went fine played tv ok, switched to spotify ok.  in the evening turned on tv and sound was skipping.   turned set off and next morning I did a reset,  after reset tv (regular cable and streaming) and spotify working ok.  turned everything off for awhile then played spotify for a few hours.   Went to TV (stream and regular cable) and skipping restarted.  does anyone know what is causing this?    

I made the mistake of trying to setup a separate Sonos account for work (as we were experimenting with setting up a Sonos system there). I gave a separate email address and created a separate password. On my S2 app (on my iPhone), I logged out of my personal account and logged-into the new work account. Everything seemed fine. That is, until I tried logging out of my work account, and back into my personal account. When I tried to login, the S2 app stated that I was using an incorrect password. I changed the password, but the same error message continued. I went onto my browser and logged into my Sonos account via the Web (with the new password), and everything seems fine (my entire home system is still showing up there, etc). But the S2 iPhone app simply won’t recognize my password (which is a big problem, obviously). The “tech support genius” at Sonos simply suggested deleting and re-installing the S2 app to my phone, which I’m obviously hesitant to do (because I really don’t want to

can I wire 4 bose 791 speakers to amp?

I’ve just purchased an Arc and 2 One SLs to connect to my new Sony Bravia XR55A90J TV. When using the tv as the source, I only get sound from the Arc.  I can’t discern any sound from the Ones. When I play music via Airplay from my iPhone though, the One SLs play too and I get great surround sound.The Arc is connected to the tv via the HDMI eARC port and via Ethernet to Wi-Fi. The Ones show as connected in the Sonos app.I’ve used Trueplay a number of times and have disconnected and reconnected the Ones but nothing changes. 

Hello,One of our sonos one box just stopped working.We don’t know why it doens’t work anymore. We saw that the light on top of the box didn’t light up anymore and then we noticed it didn’t works. We bought the box in november 2019 at the BCC store in Veenendaal. We already went to the store but they told us they couldn’t help us because we were past the guarantee period unfortunately. Is there anything sonos can do to see what’s wrong with the box? Can anyone recommend a good HDMI Arc over Ethernet extender?I want to go from the TV to the Sonos Amp via Ethernet and have it work well. It looks like alot of the HDMI extenders don’t support ARC.

I have rebooted my router and my Sonos devices.My Sonos devices are connected to the router with an ethernet cable.The Sonos app is updated.I don’t what else to do. Any suggestions?Is the problem to be found with Sonos, Tidal or my network?Thank you in advance.   

Morning all,In getting support on another Roam related question, I started to consider wifi strength and possible RJ45 connectivity.There are many devices out there that indicate that they are wifi only but in reality do support a wired connection e.g some Roku boxes, even my treadmill that has essentially an inbuilt android tablet in it.Adding a Ugreen usbc to RJ45 device can often introduce a wired link to replace a wireless one.Does anyone know if that is possible on a Roam unit?Reason to ask is that I’m off to a location that has notoriously poor wifi services but were rooms do have RJ45 ‘s outlets at the desk and room level. It could be a nice insurance policy.Very interested to hear if anyone explored that route.Many thanks

I have noticed if I have music playing in one room of the house and in the middle of the song I group it to another room the audio sometimes only plays out of one of the stereo speakers even if I see it online, once I power cycle the speaker everything is working as expected. I do have multicasting and all the IGMP proxies setup on my router. Could this be because there is a lot of information being transferred at once to the new grouped speakers that the multicasting doesn’t keep up? I don’t seem to notice this when I pause the music and group the speakers to then un-pause the music.

Googled everywhere and can’t seem to find a definitive answer:I run a projector with input from a laptop thus my audio output options are 3.5mm jack and/or RCA output.If I picked up an old ZP90 could I run the audio wired to the ZP90 and then from the ZP90 wireless to my Sonos Speakers and would this work without the sound delay to the video coming through the projector?A Sonos Beam just doesn’t go well with a 110” projected image on a blank wall whereas Vertical mounted 5s or 1s either side of the image are perfect.I’ve previously run audio via 3.5mm jacks directly to a single Play 5 (which then wirelessly links up another play5 and Sub) but this is far too much overkill when I could better use some play 1s instead ( but as everyone knows they don’t have any audio wired inputs ).    

Why can I no longer use browse on Apple Music? I use to be able to see Top Playlists, Top Albums and etc. I do not want to have to go search each time.

I got a brand new pair of Sonos One SL’s only a month or two ago and have just had an ant colony error out from inside it.  I’ve been in touch with Sonos and they’re denying me a replacement because they say ants aren’t mentioned in the warranty (lol, of course not..why would they be mentioned) and their other excuse is that besides the ants, the postal service won’t ship the speaker back because of the ants (what kind of a bizarre answer is that??) and therefore they won’t honour the speakers warranty. I’m actually quite shocked by the customer service I’ve received.  I’m going to contact the ACCC and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. My wife is also in species discovery and has some friends who happen to specialise in ant identification (pure fluke but amazing) so hopefully I can get the species identified pretty quickly.  I can see I’m not the first person to experience this issue, however Sonos appears to haveclosed the previous conversations down already. Anyo

My playbar will go in and out of connection with the network, staying connected only for about 30 seconds at a time.  Any suggestions given the below? It’s connected via WiFi - 5Ghz with a strong signal in its location If I restart it, it will always reconnect for a good 15-30 seconds and then drop out Device is about 7 years old and issue started 4 weeks ago Hasn’t remained connected for more than a a few minutes in weeks Works totally fine for playing TV sound, but won’t stay grouped with other speakers (as it is dropping off the network) Paired with a Sub There are 8 other sonos speakers in the network and none have this issue Steps I’ve taken:plenty of restarts ensured cables are securely connected using a different power outlet I’ve successfully assigned a static IP from the router (device will connect only with the reserved IP I’ve assigned.
