Can I use CONNECT with the new Sonos  S2 APP to Line-In music to an old Play:5 ?

I have a Beam 2 connected to a Samsung TU8000 series TV via eARC and is my sole speaker for sound. The TV signal is from a DirecTV Mini Genie but via a Orei HDMI Splitter/Extender system. The Mini Genie is set to 1080i and 1080P. I have a choice of sending to the TV:1080P, 2CH Audio 1080P, Dolby/DTS5.1 1080P, HD Audio 1080i, 2CH Audio 1080i, HD AudioSince the Beam 2 is providing the sound for my Samsung TV what would be the best signal to send to it?

I have two Roam speakers. Both are on magnetic wireless chargers. I have been using them since first released. I noticed recently that one of my Roam is showing 96% charged and temperature is “hot” and has not been charging to 100% for the last couple of weeks.Any idea why this is?Other information - I am living in a country with 220V power although I have had no issues with mag-safe charging to date. The tech spec for the SONOS wireless charging pad is rated 110V-240V so I do not think that is the issue… and the other charger seems to be working without any problem.

Hi there, I am kind of over Sonos at this point. We have had a Play 3 for about 10 years and my wife has been having connection issues forever basically. We decided to buy a 2nd hand Play 5 Gen 2 this week from CEX. Go to connect it and the Play 5 cannot be foundWe…. Factory reset → orange / white lights flashing Play 5 - nothing Power on/off a billion times. reset router - nothing plugged Play 5 into network wired.  turned off old Play 3 - keeping Play 5 wired. keeps trying to find Play 3, and indeed seems to find it despite being off. Maybe by MAC address without power? wired Play 3 and Play 5 - nothing ended up with Play 3 connected via wired and needed to faff about to get it back.checked bluetooth, it’s on. Phone is right next to Play 5, it can’t find it.I am just beyond understanding where to go next. Any ideas? At what point is the product just faulty and I’m no longer being an idiot.Many thanks.RobL

Just got my sonos five and when I try to connect to my Apple Music app, I get the error message “We’ve run into a problem try again.”  I have tried all the trouble shoot that I have found on the various threads and nothing worked.

Hello,My Sonos Move has stopped working since I changed freebox routers. (N and AC standard). There is no G available. It shows me a problem as soon as I enter the wifi key. After updating to version 14.12, I re-tuned the trueplay tuning, the result is that the subwoofer sound is small, position, sub audio is 0, but the volume is low. I'm using a Gen 3 sub woofer.Hopefully sonos will fix this bug soon thank you

Having noticed the sonos beam 2 volume cannot go louder after it is turned on. However, after a while it can go louder. What is the problem?

Bought a new Arc to upgrade from my Playbar in main TV room. Have used my Xbox with the Playbar setup and LG C8 OLED TV for a while now. With the Playbar, each time I’d play a game or stream a program supporting Atmos, I’d get visual confirmation on the TV that both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision were active. Since setting up the new Arc, I have two issues. BTW, the Arc is connected to the TV’s HDMI ARC port. Sound is great.Now, though, when I start up a favorite Xbox game (2K21 Golf) I no longer get confirmation that Dolby Atmos is active. Same is true for streaming. Not really a big deal for a game like this one, just found it unusual that the Arc made Atmos go away. I still see the confirmation that Dolby Vision is active, which has nothing to do with the Arc, of course. So, first question is, does anyone have an idea why this would be the new normal for the Arc? Sonos say that Atmos is supported on ARC.The second issue may or may not be an Arc issue other than the fact that the Arc (

Hi All,I was hoping for some advice from the community.I have 4 ceiling speakers (non-Sonos) connected to my Sonos Amp but want to purchase a wireless speaker like Sonos Five to augment the room sound. If I play my music through the Sonos App on my iphone using Spotify for example, will there be a lag between the wireless speaker and the 4 wired ceiling speakers? I would appreciate any advice. Sincerely,John 

I would love to mount my Sonos Moves to the ceiling of my covered porch, about 1.5 feet in from the edge. I’m pretty confident it would not get wet or sun exposure. It might get a light freeze (27 degrees) on occasion. I see the Sonos Move Charging Base is designed for indoor use only. Is this protected exterior application safe to use the charging base? Would it be any better/safer to use PD Charger and USB-C cord? Would a light freeze harm the speaker?

I can connect my move to wifi and my iphone says connected by bluetooth. However the little share button icon is greyed out (unlike my sonos speakers for house and outside). When i click on move it just takes me through tour every time

I am interested in the Sonos Port. I am interested in connecting my record player to the port to play on my Sonos speakers.  I am also interested in connecting my amp and speakers to the port so I can stream music to my Sonos speakers and my amp/speakers.  Can I use both the input and output connections on the port at the same time? I bought a Sonos One last week, and would like to allow my family members (in the same Google Home house) to control it with Google Assistance Voice Match. I have a number of Google Nest speakers in my house, on which this works great. Each family member's voice is recognised and gets personalised results.I have been able to add Google Assistance voice control in the Sonos app, and have added the Sonos in the Google Home app. However, Voice Match only works for myself, not for my familiy members. I have noticed that, unlike the Google Nest Audio and the Google Nest Mini speakers in my house, the Sonos is not in the list of devices using Voice Match.Am I forgetting something or doing it wrong? Or is it just not possible to use Voice Match for multiple users on the Sonos One?Your help is much appreciated!

Definitely a Android App issue. Rooms and speakers appear and disappear from the system. It's not a connection issue. How do I know? My son has an iPhone and all speakers are there and functional. On my Samsung I have to switch wifi on and off or reboot my wifi. Again, my son's iPhone has zero issues. 

Got a new iOS phone. It does not recognize or find family network. 

My Samsung smart remote controls the volume of the speakers just fine, but when I turn off the TV the system is still powered on. Is there a way to shut off the system when the tv is turned off? 

I have my TV with Arc, sub and front Sonos, but want to use my in ceiling speakers as rear surround sound via a Sonos Amp, but it will not let me do this, for reasons that make no sense at all. Any ideas?

Anyone got any idea how you link a Ray and a One to make a system?I have 1 One and a Ray in the living room which I’m trying to link together to get a surround sound type system but struggling.I have other One’s throughout the house but I don’t want to add them to this system.  As soon as I don’t want to select those other One’s I can’t seem to build a system. thanks

After working with four Sonos tech support people, my wife somehow got my playlists findable on my Windows computer However, they are not findable on my iPad and iPhone. However, the song that is playing does appear as normal on the  two devices when the sobg is playing. Any ideas?

I have a collection of Gen 1 products and a perfectly usable Gen 1 iPhone controller. I want to buy a Sonos Five. Can I have a separate Gen 2 controller on my phone for this one product, whilst leaving everything else on the Gen 1, and untouched?

Hello everyone.It's New Year's Eve 2022 here in the UK and we're enjoying music videos on the YouTube app on our Samsung Smart TV with the audio playing through our brand-new, and really excellent, Sonos Beam.It's raining heavily outside, but we're drinking red wine indoors and waiting for Chinese food to arrive.Our plan is to roll-out Sonos speakers in every room soon, so we'd like to know if we'll be able to enjoy the audio from YouTube (and other TV apps) on all those speakers - when we have them. We subscribe to YouTube Premium, if that's relevant at all. But we think, generally, it would be quite cool to do this. Perhaps to still hear the movie audio in the kitchen when we pop to the fridge for a drink - or to the loo! Or to still hear the YouTube music videos playing on the TV in the living room, while taking a bath in the bathroom. Some advice on this from Sonos experts would be greatly appreciated!Thanks, in advance, and we hope you have a wonderful 2023!Brett & Izzy
