Is it possible to use a wireless HDMI connection to have the sound from the TV go to the SONOS AMP via ARC?  If so, how do I make the connection and what wireless HDMI setup do I need? Thanks.

Is Sonos era 100 an outdoor speaker, can charge it and go out with no cable

I recently just go the Sonos sub gen 2 and while setting it up, it required a compatible Sonos speaker which Sonos ray was part of the speakers but I’m having issues connecting both speakers to work together

I have 2 Play:1s. I don’t use them often, but have been reliable for many years. Tried to use them this past week and they have both disappeared from the app. And my system also can not be found. No changes to wifi, network, or router. Tried to reconnect. No luck. Factory reset one of them and the app goes through the set up process and adds the speaker to the system with a final warning that the speaker has been added but may not be visible. If it’s not, unplug it and add it via system settings. This proven unsuccessful now three times.

I have bought a lot of Sonos products. I am disapointed with the current situation related to the play one speakers and their wifi issues. The fact that sonos tech support is encouraging people to manually adjust their router settings is troubling given the security risks that can arise.

Hi everyone!I already have a Home Theatre setup at my home: Sonos Beam (gen 1) + 2 surround speakers (Symfonisk).I’m planning a huge renovation in my living room and thinking about getting a projector or an LG tv with Zero Connect Box (it’s very cool, you should google what it is). Which means that the display will be too far from my eARC output. Therefore I have a question: can I use Sonos AMP to put it next to my media box connect it with eARC and then transmit 5.1 wirelessly to the home Theatre Setup? How would I do that?A general question: maybe there is a wireless HDMI transmitter that supports eARC?

Hello everyoneIs it possible to switch between work configurations? For example - to work in a surround configuration with 3 speakers (gen bem 2 + 2 era 100) **and at the push of a button** play stereo on 2 speakers (the same 2 speakers from the previous configuration, 2era100)

So my Sonos arc ultra was working fine with arc before and using pass through properly (Dolby in my ps5), then the other day it just wasn’t working at all and someone suggested resetting my Samsung tv which worked. I noticed though now it’s just labeled as a receiver  when connected with my tv and well it’s not doing anything other than pclm, unless I change it to dts on my tv settings

Frustrated with Sonos for the 1st time.  I have owned Sonos since the ZP100 were 1st introduced. You can say awhile. My standard response to folks asking about Sonos is that it simply just works. Well I can’t say that now. Disappointed.  lately my Sonos has quit working on my iPad.  It still works on my iPhone. It has worked on my iPad for at least 10 years. No recent changes to network or anything. Now it simply doesn’t work.  I’ve done all the basics, reset, turn off, reset router mesh system, etc.   can anyone explain how to fix this?  I’ve read the threads on this subject already and tried them. Anyone at Sonos have a fix. I was your best non-Sonos employee salesman and now have a pause on my thoughts.  steve

I recently upgraded from Arc + sub 3 to Arc ultra + Sub 4 in 2 rooms. One of the rooms has Era 300 as surrounds and another has Sonos One SL as surrounds. When I play music using Sonos App, the sound does not play on the center channel. Seems to be playing on left, right and height channels on the arc. At points during the play, the surrounds (Era300, One SL shoot up in volume). I changed from playing using Sonos App to AirPlay and it does not play atmos content at all. Tried with with and without true play.Read about similar issues. Spent an hour with tech support and got the advise to install mesh internet at my home as a fix! Really?Did anyone having similar issues find a solution? Spent thousands of dollars on Sonos and expected better technical support! Thanks for any tips

We moved into a house where the owners left behind their Sonos speakers. We also have a prior system in our prior house. We can see and use the speakers in the house, but I can’t manage the system since it is still managed by the previous owners. I also tried adding one of the Sonos Fives from our previous house into this system (or just into a new system) and that didn’t seem to work either.  So here is what I want to do.Create a brand new system under my account that includes the Sonos speakers than came with the house, as well as our existing speakers. Is Factory resetting all the speakers the only way to do this (assuming I can’t contact the prior owners to transfer the system)? If I could contact the prior owners (they moved out of town) should I ask them to transfer ownership or “forget” their system.  Thanks

Hii am using since some year the playbar and I am still pretty happy with it. I was considering to extend it to home cinema and wanted to buy a set of era 100. after researching it seems they are not compatible to my playbar. What other options do I have? any ideas are welcome.thx in advancebest regards Norbert

Good evening,I am having a strange issue where I have 16 SONOS Port that do not get a an address from the DHCP Server. The issue occurs if I connect the devices to the ISP modem and also if I connect them to a SonicWall TZ670. However the DHCP assignment process works fine if I connect the Sonos devices to an old TZ300.On the packet capture from the firewall I can see how the DHCP process which is supposed to be Discover-Offer-Request-ACK is being repeated Dicover-Offer and the Sonos devices are ignoring the DHCP Offer and start over. Also many other devices work fine with DHCP on this network. We have done more than 100 installations with Sonos and Sonicwall and this is the first time that we have this issue. All devices are connected with a cable to a Cisco switch which has the recommended STP settings. The DHCP offer is being sent to the broadcast address 255.255.255.255 / ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff. I am mentioning this because there are DHCP servers that are sending unicast Responses and AF

Hi All, I own two Era 100’s configured/linked together as a stereo-pair in my living room. I want to buy a 3rd Era 100 for the Kitchen and use synchronous multi-room streaming so I can walk between my Living room and Kitchen with the music perfect in sync. Would this work?

I would like to bring my Sonos era 100 speakers to a different location for the six months during the winter. I'm wondering if the settings are stored in the application on my phone for a specific location for example cottage and home.I have Sonos systems at both locations and these would be in a different room at home. What's involved in doing this and would I love the Trueplay settings from the cottage ?  I do see other people have asked questions like this, but it appears to be the poster about four or five years old. I look forward to anyone who can offer technical insight. Thanks !

WTH do I have to completely reinstall my system to get these speakers to work.  These are great speakers, but the software is a total POS.  Half the time I open the app it doesn’t show any connected speakers and I have to go through the entire set up again.  The other half of the time it won’t connect to my wi-fi system with no explanation.  Why does listening to these F’ing things have to be so hard??

hi, the infrared remote control of my Philips LED TV 24” PFS5505/12 is not recognized in any way by Sonos Ray, that is connected with the optical cable to the TV and working perfectly.I followed all the instructions (https://support.sonos.com/it-it/article/tv-remote-not-detected-by-sonos) and in particular:*on the TV I set the audio output to "TV speaker deactivated"*I installed new batteries in the remote control*I pointed the remote control directly at the IR sensor of the Ray, from a distance of 1 meter and up to 1cm.*there is no object blocking the infrared sensor*there is no source of direct sunlight, and in any case I made MANY attempts to recognize it even in a dark room*there are no other infrared signals that interfereThe only thing I notice is that the Ray LED lights up when I press the volume + button 3 times, but the Sonos app continues to say that the remote is not detected. What to do?Thanks for the help

Moderator edit:Google Translate-Good afternoon, I have a Beam 2 sound bar and I just bought an ERA 300 speaker. I know it's not much for a home cinema system, but I have to go little by little as I can't afford another speaker. What do you think?Thank you very much and best regards to everyone.

Hey all!Can I save settings for different usage in the iOS app? Like a preset for “Music”, “Movies”, Podcasts” etc?How is that done so I don´t have to go into settings each time to adjust the settings for each usage.

Hello-I am a long time Sonos user and have 12 SONOS speaking running on an ASUS RT-AX88U router. They are all connected to the 2.4GHz network. I have disabled IGMP Snooping, Airtime Fairness and disabled the 802.11ax / WiFi 6 mode on the 2.4Mhz network with the channel bandwidth set to 20MHz. The control channel is set to one while the SONON channel is set to 11.  I have actually gone as far as to assign fixed IP addressed and bounded those devices to the 2.4GHz At this point it seems that the network works perfectly if I’m streaming from Apple Music or other streaming services from my phone. However, any time the source is a TV the network becomes unstable, and speakers drop out randomly, its maddening. The ARC on one TV and the Playbar the other never drop out, just other speakers on the network. So, the speakers connected via optical cable never drop. I have a SONOS that I have tried with similar results. Anyone heard of anything like this. Again, speakers seem stable when playing m

I have a "Google Chromecast with Google TV" connected to my TV via HDMI. I use it to stream YouTube, Netflix, and Kodi. My TV is connected to a Sonos Beam (2nd gen) via HDMI Arc. Whenever I play a video with a Dolby audio track (on YouTube, Netflix, or Kodi), I hear a popping/cracking sound at the beginning of playback. This issue does not occur when playing stereo/PCM audio. If I stop the video and resume playback, the popping sound happens again. However, if I let the video play, there are no further issues during playback. The exact same popping sound occurred when I previously used a Sonos Ray connected via an optical cable. When I replaced the Sonos Beam with a much cheaper Philips soundbar (connected via HDMI Arc), the problem disappeared completely, and everything worked fine. This suggests the issue happens with Sonos devices, regardless of connection method (HDMI Arc or optical cable). How can I fix this? Is there a known solution for this popping sound when starting playback
