hi, the infrared remote control of my Philips LED TV 24” PFS5505/12 is not recognized in any way by Sonos Ray, that is connected with the optical cable to the TV and working perfectly.
I followed all the instructions (https://support.sonos.com/it-it/article/tv-remote-not-detected-by-sonos) and in particular:
*on the TV I set the audio output to "TV speaker deactivated"
*I installed new batteries in the remote control
*I pointed the remote control directly at the IR sensor of the Ray, from a distance of 1 meter and up to 1cm.
*there is no object blocking the infrared sensor
*there is no source of direct sunlight, and in any case I made MANY attempts to recognize it even in a dark room
*there are no other infrared signals that interfere
The only thing I notice is that the Ray LED lights up when I press the volume + button 3 times, but the Sonos app continues to say that the remote is not detected.
What to do?

Thanks for the help

You’ve done all the steps I would normally recommend, save going in and resetting it up in the controller app itself, so I would suggest that you call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

Hi, I followed your advice and contacted - first via chat and then by phone - the Sonos customer service, which definitively solved the problem of the TV remote not being recognized.
The problem was the peculiarity of the original Philips TV remote control, which uses "Toggle Bit" technology and generates a different IR code each time its buttons are pressed, and for this reason it cannot be recognized by the Ray.
As suggested by Sonos customer service, I purchased an 'universal' IR remote control - also at a very low cost - which was immediately recognized by the Ray and I definitively solved the problem!

Fascinating, and thanks for the explanation. Yet another reason for me to be wary of Philips TVs. Which is odd, as I am a fan of their Hue line of lighting.
