Hello-I am a long time Sonos user and have 12 SONOS speaking running on an ASUS RT-AX88U router. They are all connected to the 2.4GHz network. I have disabled IGMP Snooping, Airtime Fairness and disabled the 802.11ax / WiFi 6 mode on the 2.4Mhz network with the channel bandwidth set to 20MHz. The control channel is set to one while the SONON channel is set to 11.

I have actually gone as far as to assign fixed IP addressed and bounded those devices to the 2.4GHz At this point it seems that the network works perfectly if I’m streaming from Apple Music or other streaming services from my phone. However, any time the source is a TV the network becomes unstable, and speakers drop out randomly, its maddening. The ARC on one TV and the Playbar the other never drop out, just other speakers on the network. So, the speakers connected via optical cable never drop. I have a SONOS that I have tried with similar results. Anyone heard of anything like this. Again, speakers seem stable when playing music streaming services via my iPhone but start dropping when the source is a TV etc.

Same issue here as well.  Speakers grouped with a home theater Room playing TV sound do suffer from dropouts.  When playing music all grouped speakers behave as expected.

I read somewhere in this community that there was a way to change some setting that involves a voice sync setting, but I don’t remember where that was or how it’s done.

The only setting I can find is Group Audio Delay in the Arc settings.  Maybe this is the setting the person was referring to.

I only tried to listen to the news in the kitchen once with a Move speaker.  The dropouts were too irritating so I trashed that idea.  I now use an iPAD for that purpose.

There is a 75ms delay for TV audio to speakers grouped to any Sonos soundbar. You can try Lip Sync or Group Audio delay but it will be hit or miss.

Without getting too technical The delay is primarily due to the Soundbar having to process audio from the TV first and then send to other grouped speakers. When playing music there is no delay as each speaker is getting a direct feed over WiFi. That is why you can stop play on the speaker that initiated the stream and others will continue to play.

For example I can start a music stream on my Arc and group in my Five. I can stop the stream on my Arc and my Five will continue to play.
