Tripped over this (minor) issue whilst fighting a different problem: SETUP:   Mac running Sonos Controller 16.4.2.music (nee iTunes) library lives on the Mac (Users/dan/music/iTunes)iTunes library exported to "iTunes Music Library.xml"Mac iTunes file structure entirely copied to USB drive hanging off router (\\NASMOUNT\iTunes)Sonos library location only knows \\NASMOUNT\iTunes. This has been working for years. I recently noticed that Sonos had a couple of extra imported playlists: Library and Music. They each appear to contain all songs. Reading posts here, it sounds like Sonos no longer needs the XML file, so I tried different variations. 1) updating library after deleting  xml file on the NAS:library and music are created in imported playlists, my imported playlists are there.xml file on Mac was modified. this was surprising, as I wasn't aware Sonos knew about the Mac iTunes location. 2) updating library without xml file either on NAS or Mac iTunes libraryMac iTunes XML file is creat

Hey, I’ve been noticing recently that my Sonos Ace plays a beep sound and suddenly stops playing/recording any sounds. The weird thing is the headphone is still connected and is selected as the audio source in Mac and Teams, but it just doesn’t work. I either have to turn it on/off, or recently found that switching the audio device in both Mac/Teams gets it back to a working state.I’m suspecting it’s a sleep/idle-detection issue, where it “thinks” it’s idling and goes into a hibernate mode to save power.Anyone else has had this issue? It’s very frustrating, specially during some important meetings where it happens.

Trying to report a bug but can’t figure out where. Recently on my Era 100, most noticeably through Apple Music which I use most often, the next song in queue will play, but periodically no sound will play. App shows time elapsing on song, but no sound. Hitting back to restart the song then fixes issue and sound plays as normal.

I currently have a large amount of music stored on my WD Home NAS in various formats.  I’m able to stream MP3s to Sonos but FLAC files, although visible on the Sonos app (Music Library), bring up an error stating they don’t exist.  I guess this could be down to the NAS (which is a few years old) or the device I’m using to connect to Sonos.I also use Spotify but again, this doesn’t allow lossless audio. If there’s no workable solution, one option I am considering is buying a Brennan B2 or B3.  I have a large CD collection so streaming from Brennan to Sonos in lossless is appealing. However, if I take the plunge on a Brennan, I believe I would need to set that up as the designated Music Library.  So my question is - can two folders be set up within the Music Library on the Sonos app?  I don’t want to lose access to my existing NAS as that has some unique recordings (albeit on MP3) but would love the option of streaming lossless from another device.I guess my other question is does anyone k

My connect amp keeps flashing red.  I factory reset it but it goes back to flashing red.  I’ve spent hours on here trying to figure it out. It’s a new house to us and the rest of the Sonos system is working well but this one connect amp.  Looking for some more troubleshooting advice.

Have had none of these problems with my original arc. Just hooked up the arc ultra to my Samsung tv and the eArc connection will be solid for a few moments and then the sound drops out for a second and it goes to a normal arc/hdmi connection. Have now tried multiple arc ultras and the same thing happens. Normally when I change the volume the tv says "receiver-(hdmi-eArc)". When this drop out happens it just says "receiver-(hdmi)". Thus I believe the eArc connection is dropping out to the lower arc. Has anyone else had this problem and what was their fix. I've tried different hdmi cables and that didn't fix it.As much as I would like to think this is a Samsung problem, with Sonos' recent successes I tend to lean more to it being something on the arc ultras end. Never had one problem with my arc and even still when I plug it back in the eArc connection is solid and never drops. Never had this issue until the arc ultra. Just when you think Sonos is out in the clear and the issues are behi

Very excited to break into the Sonos ecosystem with a full house remodel we’re doing. We will be using the Sonos Arc Ultra with Sonos in-ceiling speakers for surrounds, a separate zone in the kitchen, and a separate zone in the patio. The multi zone is why Sonos is such a great fit.The problem is the sub placement. Without going into too much detail, simply put I cannot use an external sub like the sub 4 due to not having anywhere to place it with our tv room layout. I could put it in a cabinet and use a mesh cover on the cabinet (even double this so there’s a sub 4 on either side of the TV), but everything I read says you do not want to put a sub in a cabinet. So, the questions is… if I use two in-wall architectural subs from sonance, can I still integrate them into the Sonos eco system and will it read them as .2 subs correctly for the home theater aspect of this? Would I have to buy a separate amp for each of them? Open to any ideas here. We’re still down to the studs on the remodel

Green light projecting - says off in the appwouldn’t  be so bad if it wasn’t the bedroom!why? and why does every week feel like “just another thing has broken”

Hi alli just purchased arc and sub gen 3 and connected to Samsung frame tv.  the first thing I have noticed is audio output is low.secondly, when I play anything on YouTube on Samsung tv app, on Sonos app it always show streo pcm.even though on tv under expert setting earc autosound output autodigital Dolby on but I’m not ableto select pass through , it only gives option for autopr pcm

I have a full sonos system around the house and integrate my Rega planar P1 and Marantz CD6007 using a sonos port.  My question is this:Can I improve the sound output from my Marantz CD6007 by connecting an external DAC inline (using the optical output) and then into the Port, or is that just a DAC into a DAC? The Port obviously has a DAC inside it but can I improve the signal before it gets to the Port? Many thanks in advanceNeil

Hi there, We’re planning to change the layout of our living space, we’ll sort of divide the couch space from the kitchen space by a open ceiling to floor shelf that is connected to a wall, means off center, and you would pass the shelf when going from kitchen to couch. Attached is a screenshot of the situation. Questions is: I will sell my Sonos Beam, because watching TV is less and less important. Switching the 55 inch to a 32 inch that sits on the shelf. I need a new Sonos speaker for Music and Radio that will sit on the shelf. Is the ERA 300 a good speaker for the situation? Would you turn the speaker to the living space, or kitchen space, or would you turn the speaker facing to the side of the shelf? It will only be one Speaker because two will not fit. thanks for your opinions.s.

With my new system Beam 2, mini sub and ERA 100 all plugged into internet except ERA. My rear speakers two era 100 i constantly am hearing like a choo choo sound snow. I am only about 15 ft from my router. It seems to happen when rear speakers go low in volume. It can be annoying. Any thoughts to this matter I would appreciate. Thank you my friends.

I am trying to downgrade S2 to S1. I hit “switch to s1” and nothing happens??what now?

Hello, how can I deregister a sonos product?

I have updated the Sonos app and am trying to install my two Sonos play one speakers to my existing system. I have installed an ethernet cable and connected them to my router unplugged them then plug them back in while holding the pause button until the Amber light starts flashing it only flashes red and has been doing so for about 15 minutes. Is there anything I can do to, accomplish this and reinstall these to my system

I just moved and am setting up Sonos in a new location and different router. I reset devices to factory settings. Music works fine. The Arc and Sub work fine with tv.  The problem: If I am watching tv with the arc and try to play music on the whole system, the arc will not switch to the music.  The music plays through the arc so I hear both the tv sound and music at the same time.

I have a Sonos Arc Ultra connected via the HDMI Earc cable to a 2021 Sony XR-65A80J tv.  I’m using the Sony remote that comes with the TV.  When adjusting the volume there is 1) a delay in the volume response at the TV and soundbar, and 2) when adjusting the volume by multiple steps, it misses the input unless you press the button, wait, then press the button again. Can this be corrected with the tv settings? Or is this a common problem across Sonos soundbars and Sony TVs that is still unresolved?

I have just purchased Sono Beam Gen 2 two days ago from a retailer in the United Kingdom. I have been trying to add Google assistant to my speaker for hours and what I got from the Google Home app is Sonos is linked … and then something went wrong please try again…I have chosen Sonos because of its compatibility with Google Home. If this is an ongoing/existing issue, the product should not be or never be advertised as compatible with Google Home. Can someone tell me or confirm if Sonos is violating any consumer law and it provides false information?   Last who can I reach out to for a product refund? Retailer said only accept a return with unused/resalable condition..and the packaging of Sonos obviously wouldn’t allow the product to be unused… Sonos team would you advise please??

I have DIFM channels listed in my Sonos Favorites on my iMac but they are not showing on the Sonos App on my iphone. Use to show on the “old” TuneIn service.

I had a system with six Fives set up and working perfectly. I moved house - using exactly the same wifi  system name and pw - and now, although the wifi sees all the speakers and AirPlay from my phone works fine, I have two problems with two different kinds of “registration”:- the speakers are not discovered by the Sonos app when I do “add product”-Sonos says they are not registered to my accountI’d like to be able to 1] use all the functions of the app and 2] rename the speakers to correspond with the rooms in the new house, etc.My eero wifi recognizes the Fives’ device names (eg, Sonos-347E5CD53DA0) as well as the names I assigned (eg, Living Room).  But the Sonos app doesn’t even see them.   How can I add them to my (now empty) system?  How can I change their names?Thank you in advance

I have Sonos One. I Can’t complete my setting. It will show error 1000 What should I do? (I’m Danish by the way?

I have just bought an era 300 and set up the new app (have an old Play 5 with Sonos 1 controller).  Trueplay set up goes into a loop so I cannot set it up and the slider volume control just pops back every time so cannot use that either.  Really poor app.  I have re-booted phone and still nothing working.  Any solutions?

After much searching in this forum, I solved my first issue in that the Tidal service was not available to add in the app. That was fixed by logging in to the desktop site and updating my address. Now Tidal appears as a service to add, and I can navigate through the authorisation process. This takes me off to Tidal website where I successfully log in and authorise. However, back in the app, it just won’t add Tidal. Just says it can’t. I’ve reset the app multiple times, rebooted the phone (Android), but it just won’t work. This is rubbish; I can’t play my music, making our Sonos speakers useless. When is this being fixed? It’s clearly an app problem. p.s: I also tried playing music through the Tidal app, then try and authorise as it played. Didn’t work either. The Sonos speaker is detected by Tidal, but won’t cast the music due to the authorisation bug.

How can I change the language in the community to German

I have transferred my music library to my IPad from my pc.  The music appears in my “Music” app on the iPad and plays on the iPad.However, my Sonos S1 app does not recognize this local music source. On my android phone, my local music appears as “On this Mobile Device” and plays over same connect system.Any ideas?
