What a waste of time! Bought this specifically because it was advertised to work with Google home. You cannot pull a feature like that and hope nobody notices! It seems that the fallout has been handled terribly by Sonos. This gives me zero confidence in these products even if they restore the feature. Will return immediately and avoid like the plague. You cannot treat customers like this who have burned thousands of hours combined on this nonsense. Good riddance

When using Sonos Voice or Sonos app to select a song from Amazon Prime Music, a different wrong song is played and displayed in the now playing window. This is not an issue with other content services such as Apple Music or Spotify. That was tested by clicking on the service in the Sonos app and filling in the search field and further selecting the track from the results of the search. For Amazon Prime Music content service in Sonos, a completely different song from a different artist plays every time for any search entered. It is also an issue with the Sonos web player. I picked an album and it played a song from a completely different artist. If I click the three ellipses and click “Play Now”, it will play yet another incorrect song from yet another artist and that repeats itself every time “Play Again” is clicked. It is not an issue when using the native Amazon Music app on my phone. Can’t be a cache problem because it’s a problem on multiple devices, iPhone app and web page using c

How easy is it to find someone locally who has enough Sonos experience to get the best sound performance from my Sonos equipment ?

Quick background. Watch movies maybe once a month if that. Cut the cable long ago. Had Amazon Fire Stick connected to Sharp HDTV using playbar, mini-sub and play:1’s for rear sound as home theater setup. Had worked flawlessly for 10 years. Fire Stick started acting up and lost TV audio thru playbar around same time at some point earlier this year.  Assumed it was issue with Fire Stick. Finally purchased new Apple TV and was excited to set up but that quickly evaporated once I realized I was still not getting any audio from tv to playbar. Since the only physical connection is via optical cable I purchased a new one just in case. No matter what rabbit hole I went down I cannot get the Sonos app to recognize my optical cable. No settings on the tv have changed and if they had its a simple switch from fixed (internal speakers) to variable sound (external). This has consumed me for 2 weeks now and I’m at the point of giving up hope  I plan to call support to see if they can help but am not

Hi everyone,I’ve been facing a frustrating issue with my Sonos Arc and am hoping for some advice. Here’s my setup:Multiple Sonos speakers at home, all connected via Sonosnet (Beam in the Master Bedroom, which is hardwired to my Orbi RBK760 router). My home theater system consists of a Sonos Arc, Sub 3, and 2 Sonos Ones as rears. All other speakers in the house, including the Sub and Ones in the home theater, connect and work fine – except for the Sonos Arc, which frequently drops connection. The problem:The Arc regularly loses connection, even though the Sub and Ones (located right next to the Arc) have no issues. When the Arc is disconnected, it often blinks white, and after restarting, it might alternate between white and red before (sometimes) reconnecting after multiple attempts. The nearest Sonos speaker to the home theater is about 8m away, if that matters.Things I’ve tried:Restarting the Arc (results are inconsistent). Ensuring the Sonosnet setup is working (since other speakers a

Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help out build the best setup for the space as atacched, it is cca. 50m2 in total… TV is hidden in the movable cabinet near the fireplace. It is a newbuild so we can play with best positions etc.I was thinking 1 sonos Five near dining table, 1 woofer next to sofa and probably 1 more Five or two times sonos One in respective corners… 90% use scenario is background music, 10% TV watchingOh and the ceiling is suspended so there is potentially an option of adding speakers in the ceiling as well, but dunno how much more complicated that is ...Any help much appreciated.

Can’t access my speaker through app since update

I am trying to help my mother figure out how to connect her turntable to her Sonos Arc.  I am not a Sonos person myself and am not too familiar with the platform.   Her Arc is connected to surround speakers and a sub woofer.  She want to be able to listen to her old records nice and loud on the surround system and with lots of bass! But, I’m not sure this is possible based on the other posts I’ve read.   I was thinking of getting the port and connecting the turntable (with an external preamp) to the port. Some posts seem to be saying that the line-in on the  port will not allow her to play records through the full surround and other posts I’ve read said you just need to create a new speaker group in order to get the turntable to play through the arc and the surround system.  Could  another option be to connect a turntable to the Era 100 and then group that speaker with the Arc? Would that get the turntable to play through the full surround sound system? Thanks for the help!

Updated Sonos yesterday and now crossfade is broken.Has anyone else experienced this and do you know of any workarounds? Version 16.4.2Build:  81158074

I have 2 “play five “ speakers in one room. The second one just stopped connecting. It’s still lit up. I’ve unplugged it, tried to rediscover it in the room and it’s not connecting or being seen. It  worked over the summer. What should I do?

All iOS devices are unable to connect to the Move 2 via AirPlay, displaying the message: "Unable to connect to ‘Move 2’." All iOS devices can successfully play back audio on other Sonos speakers (e.g., Arc, SYMFONISK) via AirPlay. Music streaming services (Apple Music, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, etc.) can playback on the Move 2 through the Sonos app. All relevant software and firmware are up-to-date, including iOS, macOS, the Sonos app, Move 2 firmware, and router firmware. All Sonos devices have reserved internal IP addresses. The router settings have not been changed recently and the router has been rebooted multiple times. The Sonos app has been reinstalled. The Move 2 has been factory reset multiple times. After extensive diagnosis with a Sonos agent, the unit was replaced. Surprisingly, the replacement—a brand-new Move 2—shows the same error message: "Unable to connect to ‘Move 2’" after setup. Please help. What additional steps can be taken?iOSMac

Good morning, everyone.  I could use your assistance.  In brief, I added a Home Theater set-up to my existing system approximately 6 months ago (ARC, ERA 300 x 2, SUB, and Victrola Stream with SONOS capabilities).  It has been successfully connected to my DECO MESH WiFi 6 system with little to no issues at all, until a couple of weeks ago. Nothing has changed with my current MESH WiFi setup or my Modem setup, with exception to the new “Updates” with the SONOS Mobile App.  Initially, with the first upgrade, I was experiencing the same issues most of you have with the lag in the volume control.  Annoying, yes… Usable, absolutely. However, I recently came home from a 2-week trip and noticed my Home Theater set-up was “Not Connected”.  My other Play 1’s are still connected and able to stream. I have attempted almost all posted remedies to this issue, with no success.  The only suggestion I have not attempted is to hardwire the ARC to my MESH router or directly to the Modem. Suggestions?  A

I am unable to get SVC to recognize and perform any commands on the Sonos AMP. I have two ERA 100 and two ROAM 2 and one Sonos AMP. All of my ERA’s and ROAM have SVC enabled and this is where I am making my requests. The AMP is currently set up as “Basement”, and is usable within my APP and functions properly with groups when done within the APP. However, when making any requests to SVC regarding the Basement (AMP) it will not do anything. So, if I say “Play Jazz in the Basement” or “Group this with the Basement” or “Add Basement” or “Stop playing in Basement”, nothing will work. Any command specific to the basement will not work. The only thing SVC will do regarding the basement is play the AMP when I say “Play in the Entire House”. Has anyone else had this problem, what should I do?

Hello, I have:2x Era 1001x Sub Mini1x Rayand two inputApple TV (BT) and Sonos Line-in adapter for a gramophone If I have a group Ray + 2x Era + Sub mini then the Line-in adapter  is not active If I have a group 2x Era + Sub mini then the Line-in adapter is ok, but he doesn't play Ray, because he is not in that group. For AppleTV, the output works in two groups and Apple TV works ok. Is there any way to have sound on Ray, when inputting from Line-in adapter? If I replace Ray with Beam, will it work? Thx

I have just used my new Sonos ERA 100’s to listen to a previous BBC Radio broadcast of Sounds of the Sixties.  The next time I asked Alexa to open BBC Sounds and play Sounds of the Sixties, it gets stuck in a loop of about 30 seconds whereupon it stops and repeats the same 30 seconds.  It doesn’t matter if I ask BBC Sounds to play a different episode, every time I get the same 30 second loop.  If I ask BBC Sounds to fast forward any amount, she replies that “I can’t do that”.  I have tried re-booting the ERA 100’s and also tried un-installing the Alexa App and re-loading it.  I can get BBC Sounds to play Radio 1 Anthems, but if I ask for Sounds of the Sixties, I just get the same 30 second loop.

When I select a record or a song in Tidal the system crash after 5 sec minimum and pass to the next song and continues doing the same. This only happen when I select music from Tidal, when I select Spotify it is normalI need and update?

How can I get TV sound to play simultaneously through  my Arc system (Arc , One’s, Gen 2Sub) ?

So what I’m wondering is in the app when you have a the Era 100’s setup as surrounds for the Arc or Arc Ultra do you get settings to adjust surround and rear surround channels? Are they seen as just surrounds or surround and rear surrounds as well.On the Era 300’s I know you can adjust surround, rear surround and height channel volume.

I’ve had to uninstall the S2 app on my 2021 Motorola G phone as it just didnt work. This was a few months ago. I was thinking, ok Sonos developers screwed it up a bit, I’ll wait and try in a year. So should I try and see if it works now? Have they fixed it? Your thoughts?

Looking at my Spotify Wrapped (their yearly summary) I can’t tell if it includes Sonos-initiated playback, or not.In our household it is my Spotify account that we use for Sonos, plus I also use it in my car.Now I love me some Taylor Swift, but I can’t tell if my wife’s use of Sonos playing her all the time has impacted my account stats, or not? Anyone know? Maybe your music preferences are more different than your household’s so its more obvious.

Moderator Edit- Translation by

Like many others on this forum, my Sonos system has suddenly stopped responding to Alexa requests. The Alex voice control doesn't appear in my sonos voice services and I am unable to add it as the alexa skill attempts to find devices before it allows the enable / setup to finish. As it never finds the sonos devices, the skill never re-enables, it just gets stuck in the "try again" cycle.   If I use the Alexa app, it lists the various sonos devices but when I click on each one it says the device is offline. All sonos devices and alexa devices are registered to my email account.  I'm in Spain, so the "remove the amazon shopping app" workaround isn't an option.Any suggestions would be welcome.…

This is an odd one.  I just installed a mesh system.  All connectivity is fine with Sonos and other devices.  All speakers work via Sonos app, which I never use as I use Alexa.Alexa is acting odd.  With the speakers that have Alexa integration, I can ask a question like what is the temperature and I get an answer, so connectivity is fine.  If I say play radio station x or band y, she says she will play it, but she does not.  I can play these sources via the app to the very same speaker. I have two older Sonos speakers which are connected to Amazon dots.  On one of them, Alexa will start and stop music when requested.  On the other, she will start music, but not stop it, when requested.I cannot think of anything else to try and resolve this as I can’t see an obvious root cause.
