Hi @aliabi, welcome to the Sonos Community!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re not getting Atmos audio with your system. Sonos will play what it is given, so if you’re not getting an Atmos signal, then it’s likely the TV that’s changing this or not passing it correctly. One of our users has given a list of what settings you should change or enable to make sure Atmos is passed correctly, which are:
Audio Output Menu
Speakers: Audio System
Auto System Prioritization: On
A/V Sync: On
eARC Mode: Auto
Digital Audio Out: Auto 1
Dolby Digital Plus Output: Dolby Digital Plus
(If available) Pass Through Mode: Auto

These settings might not be in the same place depending on your Sony TVs model, so you may need to consult your TV manual (likely online on Sony’s support page) to find these if you’re unsure.
If adjust these settings don’t help and you still can’t get Atmos audio playing, then I’d recommend contacting our support team for further troubleshooting, as they have the tools available to look into your system and help resolve this.
I hope this helps!
Hello @Jamie A
Thanks but I have the same settings… it does not work.
I can’t find out why, it is supposed to go through eArc.
IT is not worth the upgrade if I can not have dolby atmos ...
@aliabi Max requires the “Ultimate Ad-Free” plan and Prime Video requires the “Ad-Free” plan to play Dolby Atmos audio.
@GuitarSuperstar of course , otherwise it does not make sense to create a ticket

Are you playing the ORIGINAL language audio track?
On Prime Video, if you play the film The Tomorrow War on the Apple TV, what audio format is displayed on the Now Playing screen in the Sonos app?
Thanks to all,
I got in touch with Sonos support.
The answer from @Jamie A is correct that should be the settings, but you will not always get Atmos.
It seems there is an issue with the HBO MAX app (I am in Europe there is no free version) because we managed to get Dolby Atmos through Amazon Prime (playing from the TV player).
On the Sony TV PAssThrough mode has Auto or Off but not always ON, so apparently it depend on the encoding too...
According to the support it does not work though PS5 atmos is only for gaming not media players.
I tought with eARC it was going to be a seamless experience but not at all!
The support from Sonos was amazing, while you chat you can send live diagnosis though the Sonons app, it gives a code that you type in the chat, the agent can analyse the result and answer you… Amazing 5 STAR support.
The support from SONY is very disappointing, they just said I have to see with Sonos (for a 3k$ TV!!!). I will complain to them. If anyone knows how to add a forcible passthrough setting ;-)
HBO Max only does Atmos if you have the highest level subscription (4K, No Ads).
