I just got Sonos One and already had an account with Amazon Music Unlimited. Whenever I try to stream different songs to different rooms, Sonos One Alexa says it can only stream to one room. What gives?

Hi All, New to the forum, so nice to meet you all! We just finished some construction works to our house and I would like to get some Sonos stuff in the new kitchen, living area and outdoors. I asked my electrician to foresee audio cable in all zones as we were going to use in-ceiling speakers. He did this, but now that all works are finished, I noticed, he only gave me 1 'end point' per zone, meaning he has foreseen wires from speaker 1 to speaker 2 to speaker 3 to speaker 4 in zone 1. Did the same in zone 2 for the 2 speakers over there and did the same in zone 3 for the 2 outdoor speakers. This makes think a bit on how my ideal setup could work. Initially I was thinking to buy 3 connect amp devices to create the 3 zones, but it appears I don't have a 'left' and 'right' per zone as foreseen on the connect amp, so am I wondering if I would really need 3 connect amp's or if that setup even won't work at all? Why would Solos after years of hinting that Goggle play would work more seamlessly and would be able to incorporate Google Home then turn around and go with Alexa (have they even used Alexa? ) Google home will be the competing echo system to apple. If there is not a solution soon I will Kijiji my entire setup and move to a more compatible Wi-Fi speaker system that support the rest of my home set up. I started with SONOS and now that other companies have released their smart home tech the idea that not only has SONOS closed them selves off to future market share but also in not releasing a separate home remote to help with the disconnect is yet another blind spot in this organizations view. YEs you might have been there first and did it well but it takes one better product and in the race to integrated all together so then you are bound to one echo system SONOS has lost. Part two, why is there only one input for the sound bar? I have my television and a record player my Play 5 is hook

The Sonos is currently connected to my secure wifi. I would like to have a friend play their iPhone music on the Sonos via the guest wifi. Is this possible? I'd rather not give out passwords to my secure wifi.

i have a samsung tv and when i turn the volume up or down from my tv remote "not available in current mode " appears on tv. the sonos set up said this may occur but i cant turn it off. ive been through the tv menu and turned everything off.

When listening to a radio via Tune-In Radio, I get a little popup message displayed on the top left of my screen every time the feed changes, as in a new song or even goes back to the presenter in the studio. Its dam annoying and I cannot see how to turn it off. Does anyone know if there is a way.

I am purchasing a new tv and it is limited by only 2 HDMI outlets. I figured one HDMI is for my cable box and the other for my DVD player. Does playbar need a HDMI input too. The answer to this question determines which TV I buy. One with 2 HDMI or one with 3HDMI

I noticed a card on my Alexa home screen last night notifying me that the play 5 in my kitchen had become available as an Alexa device. I have already synced my Sonos and Alexa accounts and have been using them together for a few days, but this notification seemed to indicate that I should be able to speak directly to the play 5 as if it were an echo. I haven't been able to actually do this though and was also confused as to why that was the only play 5 in my house that was made available for this function. I thought maybe I was going crazy but there is a link there to set up Alexa settings for the speaker which are the same settings available to edit for all of my echo devices. There is also a link advising me to visit the Sonos site for a full list of commands available for this speaker, but I couldn't find anything there. I dropped a screenshot here to hopefully avoid all the know-it-alls who will be just so excited to try to explain to me that the play5's mic isn't far-field and so

Just doesn't seem to work. Alexa says "flash briefing" (which is an idiotic name) is starting and then nothing happens...I've checked all the proper boxes the Alexa App...even checked and unchecked different news sources...nothing. Silence. Anyone have any thoughts?

I copied my iTunes library to my NAS (iomega StorCenter ix2) and then added that NAS folder to my Sonos Music Library. I can play all the music files from that library via all the options (Artists, Albums, Composers, etc) except the Imported Playlists. When I select any song via the Imported Playlists, Sonos gives an error message: "Unable to play {song name} - the file \\.... cannot be found. It looks like Sonos cannot translate the pathname of the files from the iTunes library play lists to the "new" location on the NAS... or maybe I did not set up the NAS folder properly... Here is the complete error message: Unable to play '01 Paper in My Shoe.m4a' - the file \\HOMENAS\Homedata\Users\XXusernameXX\Muisc\iTunes\iTunes Music\Zydeco Dependents\Zydeco Dependents\01 Paper in My Shoe.m4a cannot be found This is the path to the iTunes library on my NAS: \\HOMENAS\HomeData\Deja Vu Backups\iTunes

I just got my 5.1 system today, and I find that the voice enhancement works great to bring out voices. I'm not sure specifically how it affects music when activated. I decided to try an experiment by putting it on and off while listening to just music but unless I am missing something, apparently if you have it turned on for TV watching, it is deactivated during the playing of music with the TV off. I assume that in that I don't see that choice in the app when simply playing music. Is my assumption about it being off during strictly playing music accurate or must it be turned off when finished watching TV prior to listening to just music? I'd be curious as to opinions as to how it affects background music when activated during the watching of TV with both music and dialogue.

I currently have two Play 1's and Playbar and Sub. If I were to purchase an echo dot to go along with my system. Would all audio play through my Sonos system or only music? From what I have been reading it sounds like only music services will play through the Sonos. If I were to ask Alexa something like, "What is the weather going to be like today?" Would the response play over my Sonos speakers or the Echo Dot speaker?

I have kids who listen to their sonos music too late. Can we have an "alarm" function that stops music playing at a set time?

How do I play audio (e.g. soundtracks for movies and TV in iTunes) or stream internet content (e.g. netflx or iPlayer) from my iMac through my Sonos system? I've tried a phono lead out from the headphone socket on the Mac into a Sonos bridge "line in", but the sound was poor and very quiet. My music library is on my iMac, and that works fine.

I was under the impression that when I bought Playbar and 2 Play 1's as surround system the Play 1's would help my wife hear the tv better. When watching after set up the surround speakers seem to only play a little sound, but not any talking. This doesn't help her at all. Is there any way to set these up so she can hear without unsyncing from surround set up?

Could the speakers be powered by an POE injector? Im wiring my house with Ethernet cable and it would be cool if these speakers could do that

I have a Samsung UN55C8000 LED tv purchased in 2010. It does not have a native digital optical output jack. Rather It has 3.5mm port. Has anyone made the Playbase work with this Samsung tv? Has anyone used a MINI TOSLINK to TOSLINK cable to get sound from the tv to the Playbar? Can anyone provide the Samsung tv sound settings too? Thanks ?

to listen to xm radio on sonos playbar does the xm radio have to be plugged into the playbar?

Hey everyone, Firstly, I have scoured threads relating to Alexa and Sonos, but haven’t seen anybody ask or answer this question. I currently own one Play:1 and have been waiting for the announcement and details of the Alexa skill before expanding my Sonos range throughout my home. With the recent details of the new Amazon Echo, I was thinking this could be a good option for smaller rooms, rather than another Play:1. So, let’s say I buy two Sonos One when they release - I create a stereo pair in my living room with these, then I have a Play:1 in my dining room with an Echo Dot, then I put a new Echo in my bedroom - if I were playing music on my living room Sonos pair, could I then also play this in my bedroom at the same time on the stand-alone Echo? I’m not sure this would work because of the cross platform and also how grouping works in Sonos (I don’t own any Echo products, which may be why I’m asking this question), so thought I would ask those who have both! Thanks

I have a play bar connected in my lounge room with TV and multiple sources connected. If I have it set to TV after about 15 minutes of no input to TV it switches to Music.  It also seems to default to Music.  How can I get it to default to TV.  We use the TV 90% of the time in the lounge room and this is frustrating.

Hi there im not that great with tech ive had sonos play 3 for a few months now and have been listening to spotify through it but since friday night i cant connect when pressing nearby devices am i being daft or is there maybe something im missing .thanks for any help

It appears as if my entire iTunes library is not being indexed by Sonos. I checked the details of the songs some are in an m4p format. Others appear to be just regular mp3. My library is approximately 66 GB. How can I make sure it all syncs properly with Sonos?

I am living in Switzerland/Europe but I bought certain products in the US. If I enter http://:1400/region.htm then the first thing that shows up is "USA/Canada" and not "EU". If I push on submit I receiver the error 403. There is a password field. But I do not have any password to do such change. What do I need to do to have the right region? By the way my account is set on Switzerland! My diagnose-info ticket that I just made is 8153890.

I have two Play-1's set up in different rooms as separate speakers (not left/right paired) and want Alexa to play the same channel on both speakers at the same time. I know Alexa has Multi-Room music but from what I can tell it only allows Alexa devices and doesn't allow Play-1's to be included. I can get a music channel to play on both Play-1's but the music isn't sync'd.
