I am talking my Father into adding Sonos to his home, a connect to his hifi and a couple of Play5s. I have my own 4 zone system and wanted to lend him a Play5 to try for a few weeks. How can I remove the 5 from my list of components while he has it on loan?

I have a Connect that I have been using for many years to allow me to use my Turntable. The turntable is connected, via a pre-amp, to the analog line-in of the Connect and this set up works brilliantly. Recently I purchased a sound bar for under my TV. So that I could include this as part of my Sonos network I hooked up the sound bar to the Connect to the analog line-out of the Connect. This worked fine for a couple of weeks but now the audio keeps dropping out. It is mostly random but the sound bar will get a signal for about 5 to 10 seconds then it will drop out for a while and then come back again for another few seconds. No amount of playing with the connections will get it to maintain a signal. I have checked the cable in multiple ways. First I switched it over to the analog line-in and connected my phone to the other end and was able to play music without problem around the network. Then I tried another cable and connected my phone to the sound bar and again was able to play m

I found a person in my area selling a used Sonos Sub. He says it was purchased a month ago and it looks new from the outside. However, he no longer has the receipt. Will I still be covered by warranty if I buy this from him? I have a playbar already and been looking for a cost effective way to get my hands on a Sonos Sub.

Like a lot of people I would like to use two Play 5's to my TV for real stereo separation. But I don't want to use the RCA port for many reasons. It seems like I should be able to use a Sonos Connect to the TV and the Play 5's to the Connect? How about the Play 5's and the sub? Or even those three and two rears for 5.1?

You can ask Alexa to turn her music off after a designated amount of time, but apparently you can’t do that on Sonos via Alexa? And I don’t see it listed as a feature coming in 1.0

Does anyone know how to get Audible to play via Echo on my Sonos system? I can get Alexa to play Audible, and I can get (in a haphazard way) Alexa to play some things on my Sonos, but I can't get my audible book onto my Sonos system.

Hi. I have a recurring problem with my connect amp. The white light is always intermittent and does not connect to the sonos controller. I got a pair of Polk Audio speakers that I want to connect to the Amp to improve my Sonos sound. Please help! (confirmation number 1039371935)

Does anyone know how to use the VLC Media Player with Sonos? The player apparently can act as a streaming server but how? Any ideas would be welcome

I have the full 5.1 including the playbar, sub and two Play:1 speaker. Can I add a third Play:1 speaker to enhance sound watching movies, etc?

So I have two sonos one speakers, one amazon account and a spotify family account with 4 people on it. The issue I am having is when we play music downstairs in the kitchen and then my son asks alexa to play his upstairs it mutes downstairs. we have the multiple accounts set up in the sonos app so i know we can use these as a controller but seems to make alexa a waste of time. is the solution only to have two sonos systems for individual people? how the hell do you set up alexa multiroom! so far not impressed with alexa!

The installer runs fine then when I go to open the Sonos desktop controller on my PC it come up with 3 error messages as follows: "To run this application, you first must install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework: v4.0.30319 Contact your application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of .NET Framework" I click OK, the same message appears then I get a further message saying "Unable to load pcdcr.dll. Please re-install". I have tried a full re-install but get the same message. I am running Vista SP1. Help!

So.......... I have a sonos one in the kitchen (with built in Alexa). I have just purchased an amazon echo for the bedroom (also Alexa). I can be in the bedroom and ask Alexa to play music in the kitchen, and vice versa, and that all works fine, but trying to get the music to play on both seems impossible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers

Just got my Sonos One and I see that within the Alexa App there is the option to connect to my Audible account. My Amazon and Audible accounts are to be linked and was thrilled to see audible, however, the audible selection does not display any of the books I have in my account. My Amazon account has the books so what is the hang-up?

When I give Alexa a command on my Sonos One, for example "Alexa, Good Morning" she says "Audio actions are not currently supported on this device" but then strangely she carries out part the associated action correctly, turning the lights on or off as expected. No weather, no flash brief. I have a Playbar with 2 Sonos One’s in our living room. After hours of initial setup everything worked...including routines. Then I exchanged the Playbar (speaker issue) and when I updated/reloaded everything my routines no longer work. Help! Seriously, if all of the features I purchased this system for don’t work, why did I invest so much cash? The salesperson at Best Buy assured me that this setup is 100% Alexa ready.

Hi, I have an echo dot which I use to control music on my Sonos 1 speakers, which are grouped together (called Conservatory). Every time I play music I need to tell Alex "Play on Conservatory", is there a way to set the default to be a group? (so I don't have to say Conservatory every time?). Occasionally I forget and it will start playing on the Echo Dot or state that Amazon Music is already playing somewhere else. It would make it easier for my children when they're asking Alexa to play something. Thanks, Gruss

Evening. My sonos system is connected to my NAS. I can play every music file from my NAS. Now I bought the Alexa DOT. How do I acces the music files om my NAS. If I give a voice control Alexa is searching in Amazon music and find not every song I want to hear. Anyone have a idea?

For quite a while I couldn't find a way to get Alexa to play CBC Radio 2 Toronto. It would always play a different radio station (e.g. CBC Radio 1 or a CBC station in the Bahamas). So I had to use the app to play this station. Finally I found a way to get Alexa to recognize the station: "Alexa, play Radio 2 Toronto from TuneIn in Room X." That worked for a while then one day it stopped working. Once again I cannot find any way to get Alexa to play this station, though I have tried every combination of radio station name, location, frequency, call letters, etc. that I could think of. So I'm back to using the app when I want to listen to this station. Does anyone have any tips as to how I can get Alexa to play this radio station? Thanks in advance for any advice or assistance!

Hi all, Currently I have two gen 1 play 5’s set up as a stereo pair with a sub attached. I’ve just added a play base to my tv. My question is while listening to music if I pair my sub to the play base and group my play 5’s will I still get use of the sub with the play 5’s? I know I can’t use the play5’s for tv use and that’s okay. I’ve noticed that when paired with the sub the play5’s sound better and I’m hoping that’s still the case when the sub is paired with the playbase

All set up; couldn't get the Alexa App on to Mac (should I be able to?) si I Used Sonos App in the 'Skills' section and added from there. When that didn't work for voice recon. I tried my wife's phone (I don't carry one). Sonos App recognises where it is in the house etc. using both. and I added Spotify / radio stations etc. . On the Alexa side it recognises the speaker and where it is plus I added Spotify there. ie. I think it's all in place. Speaker can play radio etc. (white light on top but the voice activation thing... nothing. Any ideas what I've missed??

Hi, I'm looking to add Alexa to an exiting Sonos setup and want Alexas response to come through my Connect:AMP which already exists. Is this possible with the echo dot? If not is, if I get a Sonos One and create a zone with the Sonos One and the Connect:AMP will the response only come through the Sonos One speaker or will it come through both the Sonos One and the speakers connected to the Sonos Connect:AMP? I understand how to control the volume from my computer (MacBook Air) using the Sonos Control App. But how do I control the volume in different rooms by using the mobile App. When rooms are grouped and I use the App on my iPhone, using the phone's volume control moves the volume in each room up and down equally. Is there a method to change the volume in selected rooms that are grouped like I can do on my computer?

I currently own an EA3 controller from C4 and the Sonos Connect, as well as the playbar and play 1 for two separate zones. The C4 does my 5.1 living room, and a zone in the patio, and one in the master bath run on a Pioneer Elite SC 91 AVR. All of these are hardwired and can currently be grouped together. The Playbar and Play 1 can be grouped together themselves, but not in tandem with the other three zones mentioned above. I am trying to connect all 5 zones that they can play the same source (ie Pandora) at the same time as we move through different zones of the house. Currently they can all do separate instances of Pandora and other digital music. I purchased the Sonos Connect in hopes it would hold hands with the C4 to bridge this gap. I am not sure whether the C4 should go to an input on the Sonos Connect or if the SC should be an input onto the C4. The Playbar and Play 1 are connected as a zone in C4 via IP addresses currently.
