I have set up 2 rooms however I can't see them both. If I want to say see the lounge I have to switch off the speaker in the bedroom.

Hi there I am wondering if it is possible to connect my home pc to my sonos system to play audio out. I currently have a standalone Bose 2.1 connected but want to play movies on my pc through my sonos system - is this possible and if so how. Many thanks

Do Sonos make a speaker that can used in a shower room or bathroom? I am aware that a Play 1 can be used in a humid atmosphere, but not sure if it would be suitable for a steamy atmosphere in a wet room.

have a play 5 and a play 3 in the same room and want to create a stereo pair. The app allows me to link either to another of the same, ie. two play 5's or two play 3's, but not one of each. Why is this? Surelt the technology is the same, just different speaker size and case sound path dynamics. I should be able to pair play 1 to play 3 and play 5.

We are looking at purchasing a Sonos system for our office but we have a few specific requirements. I think we would probably get several Play 1 speakers and a Connect base station. These will all be on a wired Ethernet network. 1) Can we disable the volume controls on the speakers? We have problems when staff have control over the volume level. 2) Can we reduce the bass frequencies to an absolute minimum? We have one team who usually listen to music on a closed Macbook Air and they don't want a full frequency response speaker. 3) Can the volume of all speakers be controlled centrally? 4) Is there a client available for Macs and PCs that will enable playback of the streamed content using the computer's built-in speakers? Hello, I am wanting to enter the wireless world and free up some real estate and clean up our old ,but trusty multizone home theatre.I am looking at purchasing a Playbar, Sub, 2 Play 5's for rears and a connect amp to power my weather rated outdoor speakers. I like to have the ability to listen to music outside in stereo, while the wife or kids are watching tv or a movie in surround inside. We also enjoy watching movies or tv outside in the hot summer months through our big window where we see the tv...while hangin out in the pool...just in stereo is fine with just the two outdoor speakers. Is this possible with the sonos? With my yamaha rxv 2500..I just hit watch tv outside and with harmony remote it would switch automatically and voila! Just wondering if it would do it and if its not to encumbersome to do so before I make this awefully large purchase...cheers and thank you for any help.

Can someone advise I had a problem indexing my music library, in short, the sonos software would not allow me to remove a music share (music folder on my PC desktop) so I decided to uninstall all the controllers on 3 mobile phones and the software on my PC and try again. However, when I re-installed the software on my PC the problem remained. I therefore followed advice on this community and carried out a factory reset on both my Play 1's and my Play 5 (Gen 2). When I tried to follow the instructions to connect to a new system the network will not recognise any of the speakers. I have also tried to connect the Sonos 5 by Ethernet cable directly to the Router, the router detects the Sonos 5 but when the option to connect is selected the installation does not go any further and I am provided a warning that the system could not connect. I have ensured the Firewall is configured to allow Sonos controllers and have turned the firewall (Norton 360) off/disabled. I have also tried switc

Hi everyone… my first post here… (apologies it’s a long one)! I’m sure I’m not alone in having to juggle with integrating Sonos and historic AV equipment.... In the last year or so I have bought two Play 3’s - for the kitchen and dining room. They’ve done the job brilliantly. In my lounge I have the following setup: an old 42” Panasonic plasma TV connected to a Denon AVR-2312 - with B&W left, right and centre speakers. This setup works perfectly when watching TV - the sound when watching movies etc is amazing, even without a sub. The problem I have is when I want to listen to music. My Denon AVR no longer connects to my router - so I can’t stream music directly from my iPhone or Mac. The USB connection on the front of the AVR is also now not working! Research tells me these issues are not uncommon with Denon AVRs. At the moment, I connect an old Apple TV to my AVR and use Airplay. This works - but isn’t as slick as it should be! AirPods are a genius product. In my case, however, I am unable to use the AirPods from my Apple Watch unless I uninstall Sonos Controller App. --- And I can reliably reproduce the connection issue when I re-install Sonos Controller on my iPhone. When I delete the app everything goes back to normal Apple Watch connects to AirPods. Apple claims on their support website: "AirPods are connected to your iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. Sound automatically switches between them." Well, in my case, with Sonos Controller installed it doesn't work. Did anybody else notice the same behavior? Feed-back appreciated. :?

I saw a video on connecting the Connect to a record player, receiver and speakers. The system was connected like this: Record player > preamp > Connect > AV receiver > speakers In that way he was able to broadcast the sound to sonar speakers in other rooms and also broadcast Spotify etc. to the receivers speakers. My question is. Is the sound that goes through the Connect analog or does it get digitalized? I would like to keep the analog vinyl sound from the old system. I'm just about to buy a Sonos set up. I have 2 TV's I need sound systems for and I need the sub and the songs sound bar kit for both. Can i stream music to one and or both set up or does the sound bar only stream one source? What do people recommend i buy for this sort of situation?

I could have sworn I used to see PlayBar in there, now it's just LivingRoom(+Sub+LS+RS). When I go to about my system I can see the PlayBar, but not in any Room settings screens or preferences. Is this normal ?

Just purchased a play5 to go with my two play1's but had a question about hard-wiring a single play1 vs only wiring a boost (I would have to order one). Is the boost signal stronger than the play1? The 5 will be used for indoor/outdoor so that wouldn't be able to be wired so it comes down to me using an existing play1 vs purchasing a boost and using that. Thanks in advance!

I have a ZP90 that I bought in 2009. Can anyone verify that this is basically the same as the Sonos Connect unit and that it will work with the Sonos streaming speakers? (assuming the firmware is up-to-date) Thanks.

Hi all, I'm getting one or two drops from some of my SONOS speakers which are the furthest from my router. I currently use seven SONOS speakers, they are all on the quietest channel so now I would like to move them all to use SONOSNET. I realise I have to wire one speaker to start this process but have no idea how I move the remaining speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi There - I need Your input: which kind/setup of speaker(s) can you recommend in my dining room (23 m2) ? I'm thinking of two possible ways: 1) to hang-up two pcs of play:1's in two of the upper corners OR 2) just one Play:5 in one of the corners. My need is just for music occasionally when dining and when having guest perhaps some louder music ( but not crazy party…) Looking forward to your advice :)

Periodically, my Sonos systems gets into a state where the volume reverts to zero (mute) whenever I try to turn it up. I think this is mostly when I am using Spotify Direct, but I am not sure about that. It has happened multiple times and I have friends with the same periodic problem. Same problem on my iPhone interface. The problem was resolved by resetting the controller from my Mac.
