Hi, I just installed my Sonos one last night. Got all the skills, apps setup. Go to ask Alexa to play a song from Amazon Music, she replies saying 'playing (artist name) from Amazon Music' then nothing happens. Anyone else having these problems or know a solution? Thanks!

I have 6 devices that I have currently connected (using HDMI) to an Yamaha receiver with 5.1 wired speakers, and sending the video to my TV. How can I get rid of the Yamaha receiver and connect the 6 devices to Sonos, still being able to select wich device I want to hear end see?

Set alexa up. I can play music by command through my living room speakers. But what command do you use to go back to playing the TV audio?

Got my beam yesterday , and easy to set up , all working including Alexa .....or so I thought !!!! There are a lot of features and settings not available on Alexa with the Beam , I can't change sound settings , and other settings , also when trying to make a call using Alexa on the beam it says it is not supported on this device , Have I done something wrong in set up , or is this a cut down version of Alexa ?

Hi we just got a dot and we are trying to link it to our Sonos play1, I am getting an error at the songs login each time. When I start to add the Skill I login to the Amazon side, it then takes me to the Sonos login. when I login to that I get this error Add your Sonos speakers to your account You need to link speakers to r******@********.co.uk before you can add this skill. Go to More > Settings > Sonos Account in the Sonos app to link your speakers. (If you don't see Sonos Account, your Sonos system needs an update.) Sign in with a different account I've fixed the problem The Sonos is up to date (done today) and I can see the device in the Sonos account and manage it through the website and phone app so I don't see why it thinks I need to add a device. I have tried this on my phone and via the Alexa website, using two different browsers I can't get past this, can anyone help? Cheers Tom

I’m sure this has been asked, but I couldn’t find an answer to this. I previous was living in a place with my own internet, modem and router. I just moved and the unit I’m moving to shares internet with the unit upstairs where the WiFi router is, so now have no wired options available to me. I need to update my play de, Sonos 5 and two sonos 1’s to the new internet via WiFi. Is this possible? If so how do I do it?

Sonos, Please post the BTU and typical in-use power consumption specifications for your product !

I have created a playlist on the sonos playlist but I want to know if there is a way to access it via alexa. It's a pain in the butt to have to go to the sonos app every time to start it. Then what's the point in having Alexa?

Hi, Is it possible to connect the audio from my fire tv stick to my sonos via an echo dot? Seems like we're close but I have not figured it out. What I can do: 1. I can push the sound from fire stick to echo dot. 2. I can instruct echo dot to play music (Pandora, spotify etc.) on my sonos Now is there a way to daisy chain all this together?

I already know how to control Sonos with Alexa. But I want the Alexa speaker to group together with the rest of Sonos speakers. Is it possible?

Setup my Beam, happily listening to streaming music from Sonos app (Spotify), turned off power to TV and music stopped. Please tell me I don’t have to keep the TV on?

Alexa will not discover my Playbase as a device. It is in the Sonus App in the TV room. I can play music from the Sonus app on the playbase. But Alexa will not play on the Playbase saying there is no such device. I have even set p multiroom on Alexa.

Grouping of Speakers: I have two Play 5's next to my TV for music. I have recently purchased a Beam and would like to group it with these two Play 5's. Will this be possible?

I had a surround setup with a Playbar, a subwoofer, and two Sonos Play:1. I purchased two Sonos One's about 1 month ago to replace the Play:1's so that I would be able to get Airplay support. Now I am told that in this confuguration the Sonos One's will not support Airplay. Pretty lame of Sonos not to have been clear about this ahead of time! Will a future software update remediate this?

Hi I have FLACs stored on a Vortexbox and use Bliss for music management. Recently (not sure exactly when, but within last few weeks) the track numbers that normally display on the LH side when viewing albums on the Sonos app have disappeared. What's more, the tracks on literally every album now sort alphabetically within album view (I have Mac, iphone and Android tablet controllers and they all show the same). I have checked the tags and can find no problems, both within Bliss and using a different tagging program. I have tried changing my music library temporarily to iTunes on my Mac (which I don't use now but where I do have a few albums) and the problem remained (thereby I think ruling out the issue being with the Vortexbox or Bliss). I have re-imported a few albums from my back-up drive (which pre-dates this problem) to see if my music library on the VB had become corrupted - still no difference. I even did a Sonos factory re-set - still no help. I also use TIDAL and

since upgrading to sonos 9 the app becomes unresponsive on the iphone if you switch to another app and back again , or even just press the home button , the music continues to play without a problem but the sonos app screen is no more that a picture on the phone. The only fix is to "close" the app" by swiping up and re open the app

I've got a beam plus sub and surrounds set up. It's connected to my x900f TV via HDMI arc. This TV runs Android TV, and we stream all of our content using apps installed on TV. Plex, Netflix, Amazon, Google play Movies all work great, and they all deliver 5.1 audio. The problem, for whatever reason, is I'm unable to start streaming most YoutubeTV channels. It will just show a silent black screen, sometimes with a never ending spinning icon. YoutubeTV is heavily used in our household, and this is a dealbreaker if we can't get it working. Please help!

Hi I have a pair of One's , one is in the living room and the other is in the dining room. Sometimes when I ask Alexa a question they both answer or one will answer followed by the other a few seconds later. Any ideas how I can rectify this so only one answers? Thanks

I have a Playbar connected to my tv and a Sonos One in another room and other Sonos speakers in other rooms. I am able to group rooms in the Sonos ap to play the tv on any other speakers. How do I tell Alexa via my Sonos One to play the sound from the playbar (while it is providing audio for my tv) in other rooms? Everything I have tried is met with a dead end.

I have a master bedroom zone incorporating a Sonos connect amp currently connected to two speakers and a sub woofer. I want to connect my new beam (I will receive on Tuesday) to my TV and my Sonos connect amp to create a 5.1 home theater set up in my master bedroom. How do I do this?

Hey Sonos Team! We really need an auto-update feature! I work with 300+ rental properties in Park City, UT, and whenever you push out an update, it automatically updates on everyones phones (iOS & Android), but when guests check-in to a rental, the Sonos equipment at the property doesn't let them play music until they update the Sonos first. Kind of frustrating, hopefully you can help! Thanks, Andrew AB Tech Park City | UT 801-432-0263 abtech.io

Hi all! I was wondering if it was possible for the Sonos system (playbar, 2 x ONE , sub ) to properly process music mixed for 5.1 . Pink Floyd DSOTM 5.1 mix for example. Or does it down mix it and just give stereo sound to the front and rear channel (along with frequencies to the sub).

Tried to run Sonos (6.4) from my iMac today. It refuses to run and gives me the message "We need Sonos running on the latest software. Choose check for updates to get started." If I follow the advice I am forced to accept the new privacy rules which I will not do. Any advice on how to make Sonos run on my iMac without accepting the new privacy conditions would be much appreciated. It was my understanding that for people like me Sonos would slowly but surely be phased out. I had never expected it to block access completely.

I have three Sonos speakers: a Play:1 in the Kitchen, a Play:5 in the adjacent dining room, and a Play:1 in the living room. I also have an Echo Dot in the Kitchen, and I have enabled the Sonos skill in Alexa. I have placed all three of Sonos my speakers in an Alexa group called "Downstairs". Alexa can't find it. At best, I can specify one speaker, say "Kitchen", and hope the other speakers are linked somehow. Also, Alexa can't find any Sonos playlists. Or, adjust the volume of the Sonos speakers. What exactly can Alexa do with the Sonos skill? Because it seems like, not much of nothing.

Sky Q remote stopped turning the volume up. How do I pair it again?
