Hi All, I currently have a Playbar with two Play:1s and a Sonos sub in the living room. The Playbar does not fit in the room (it looks ugly), so we want to move it and buy a white Playbase instead. My question is will the Playbase be as good as the Playbar? We use a projector so there is no TV. I read some reviews that the Playbase has a hard treble which makes it more unsuitable than the Playbar. Is that true or is the sound quality the same? Thank you. JD

I already own a PLAY:1 and was wondering what the best combination of speakers (for a single room) would be for £500. In essence, whether it would be best to purchase another 2 PLAY:1s, or a PLAY:3 and another PLAY:1, or a PLAY:5. Thanks to all in advance!

Hey guys, I was on Facebook today and came across a pretty cool gizmo name Darlite. They have a Kickstarter page. My question is do you think Sonos will be coming out with this feature anytime soon. I could do without the lights that Darlight has. I just want to be able to play anything that is on my phone via my Sonos Speakers.

I’ve had a pair of Kef Ci130CR speakers running from a Connect Amp for a while now. They pair up brilliantly. I’d just added a pair of Kef Ci130QR speakers to a second Connect Amp, and it’s problematic. Randomly above 50% volume, and always above 80% the amp cuts out. - The CR speakers are 8ohm with a recommended amp of 10-80W - The QR ones are 6ohm with a recommended amp of 10-50W I guess the issue is that the Connect Amp is cutting out as at higher volumes it does not have enough power to push the QR speakers. Is that accurate? Any workarounds or do I need to source a new, higher output, amp (I do have a spare Connect lying around!). Thanks. Cheers, Ferg

When playing songs from Play Music, you can fast forward them no problem. Or jump to a certain time using the time line. But when doing the same using Play Music's Radio stations, you can't do any of that. Just go Next, upvote, and downvote.  Can you please add the missing functionality?

I am for using multiple devices for control (Ipad, android tablet, 2 android phones, and a laptop). New user here and I havve no idea how to stop the system (Play 3 with a bridge). I force closed the control app on the android phones and android tablet, shut down the laptop and simply closed the app on Ipad but it won't stop playing. I have to physically mute the Play 3 to not hear it but I'd rather stop broadcasting Pandora thru the Sonos app to the Play 3. How do I stop it from playing? Is there a way to close the app so it no longer tells tells the bridge and play 3 to play?

Do the play 5's (second gen) offer a higher quality surround sound experience than the play 1,s? I currently have the play 1's in a fairly large room and they're ....eh, ok but I was curious nonetheless. For music, the play 1's are more than enough with the sound bar and Sub, but I feel the surround can or should offer more. Thanks

Newbie here. My parents have Sonos system. Someone very smart set up a couple of speaker zones. (1) bedrooms, (2) patio (3) kitchen. Each of those selections will play between 1 and 5 speakers. I can "group" those selections and play in one, two or three "zones" simultaneously. I am unable to play to only one bedroom. I believe the system was set up with "connect". I'd like to remove the master bedroom speaker from the other bedroom speakers so I can play on that one ONLY. Any suggestions? Thank you in Advance! if I search my music library in Sonos with for example "The Fugees", then nothing comes up. But If I search with only "Fugees", then it lists the album by them. It then displays the metadata alongside the album as being by "The Fugees"! iTunes and even Mac OS finder easily find the album with a search for "The Fugees". It seems the use of the word "The" at the beginning of a search means the results are ignored. If the word "The" occurs anywhere other than at the beginning it works fine. Is this a bug?

I have the whole Sonos home theater at home and love it! I'm thinking about buying some additional speakers for the cabin where there in NO internet.... like none. Questions: Will a play 1 or 3 work without internet? If I set up on my home network and take it off site to another location can I manually plug my phone into it and use it as a Bluetooth speaker?

Playbase specs say is can take TVs weighing up to 77 lbs; mine (78 in Samsung) weighs 87 lbs. Can the playbase take this weight?

Hello all, I've got 4 monitor audio ceiling speakers (6ohms) that id like to use with a connect amp, they will be in two zones in a larger room so sometimes either pair would be used and sometimes all four would be used together. Has anyone had any experience using a speaker switch/impedance matching device such as the one linked below; https://www.parts-express.com/audtek-electronics-ss4-speaker-selector-impedance-matching-1-in-4-out--300-970 If so was there any noticeable affects on the sound quality or volume when using either pair or all four speakers. I have a Connect device and I have an existing powered Kef sub. Can I get the sub to work effectively by plugging these together?

The PLAYBAR specs say that it can be paired with the SUB to create a 3.1 Home Theater system and further it can be paired with two PAY:3 speakers to create a 5.1 Home Theater system. If I don't have a SUB, can I pair just my two PLAY:3 to the PLAYBAR and does that work OK? Also, I have a CONNECT:AMP, can that be paired with the PLAYBAR and would that work OK? My CONNECT:AMP also has a its own Subwoofer, so will the Subwoofer connected to the CONNECT:AMP be able to be used with the PLAYBAR pairing to create a 5.1 Home Theater system? Hello, I'm wondering if I can stream music from my Sonos app into my google cast that is hooked up to my living room receiver? I currently have a 2 Connect + AMPs feeding two different sets of speakers but my living room receiver just has a Google chromecast and Apple Airport Express. I'd like to have my Sonos app streaming to the living room as well, but if I can spend $30 instead of $350 I'll go that route instead.

I have a pair of PLAY:1s in a stereo pair. Both connect to SonosNet via a BOOST. What happens if I directly connect the two speakers with an Ethernet cable? Will one of the speakers receive its communication over the wire, while the other talks to the BOOST wirelessly? Just curious, not trying to solve any problem I'm experiencing.

Hi, I currently own a Play 5 and a Bridge (both 3 years old) and I absolutely love the ease of use and the sound coming out of those speakers. The Bridge is in my living room next to the router and the Play 5 speaker is in the kitchen. I also use a separate, non-Sonos, system which consists of the following: In the living room: 1) NAD 3020 Receiver from the late 1980s - Has "Aux", "Phono", "Tuner", "Tape" inputs 2) Rega RP 1 turntable connected to the above NAD's Phono input 3) PSB Bookshelf speakers also wired into the above NAD In the bedroom: 1) In-wall speakers with homerun wiring that runs into the living room. They have their own volume control in the bedroom. But these speakers are not hooked up to anything so they are not in use right now. It seems to move a speaker from room to room, it is a few buttons / change of room setups..etc Wondering if anyone knows if Sonos is planning to (or has work arounds) for having 1 speaker in multiple rooms. I get that if i'm trying to play different music in different rooms, a choice will have to be made for said speaker.. or maybe the option to play different music in those rooms is disabled.. But here is my scenario: I have a play bar, and two play speakers. They are set up with my tv as the bar and surround stereo speakers. Great. Now since the play speakers are kinda small, and somewhat portable, I planned to have one of them easily unplugable, so we can bring it to another room when we want, and play music in that other room (without playing on all the rest of the speakers). I'd like to do this easily.. not have to break up the home theater set up.. add it to another room.. then have to redo everything when i bring the speaker back. Seems like i should be able to throw

Hello, In the past, I've received messages on the Sonos android app that the Sonos App has an update available and I would usually ignore it, providing everything is working reasonably well. Today, however, for the first time, the android app would not let me access Sonos at all until I hit the red "Update" banner. Written above was "Sonos App Needs Updating". When I hit Update, I am taken to the Google sign-in page. I don't ever have my phone signed in to Google. I don't ever want to sign in to Google. But now I can't operate Sonos from my phone. Surely, considering I'm a paid up 'registered' Sonos owner, I could download the app directly from the Sonos website. Or maybe I can? Is that possible? Many thanks.

I purchased a Sonos Playbar and Sub with a Bridge a couple of years ago and they have been amazing ever since! In the near future I intent to purchase another playbar, some Play 5s, some Amps to drive ceiling speakers etc... We have very good wireless coverage throughout the house using Ubiquiti APs, but all Sonos devices are hard wired using CAT6, and I intend to keep this the same as I expand. With this in mind I was always under the impression that the Sonos Bridge was essentially the hub of the system, I thought it was what controlled the full system, kept the settings, organised the rooms, kept the login details for Spotify and other music solutions, pulled updated etc. From what I have been reading though, it is basically just an access point, is this correct? If this is the case then I don't need the bridge I don't think... Can someone confirm? If this is the case, then where are all the settings stored? Spotify is linked to Sonos so what device organises that ? How am I
