How can I get Alexa to play a specific "station" from one of my services? Example would be asking Alexa to play "Easy Listening" on Stingray Music?

Just set it up today, after 3 hours it cut off. Rebooted, unplugged, nothing. Wired speakers still work (Connect Amp). Do I need a new AMP?

After the latest update, the volume on my play 5 has changed with my echo dot. It use to be too loud when the dot was turned up all the way, my line in was boosted to 10, and I was half way up on the sonos volume. Now the audio from the dot is noticeably quieter, and changes randomly, quieter, then back to set volume. Has anyone else had a similar issue here? Diagnostic 7926558 submitted.

I have one room with four speakers (all Play:1s) and a sub. Currently it's set up as two "rooms", with the Play:1s acting as two stereo pairs. Is there any way to use the sub with all four speakers?

Set up Play 1, enabled the skill. Of my 4 Echo devices it only works with Echo Show but not with Echo or Echo dot. Please help. Thanks

Have paired Alexa with my Sonos system. All seems to work well but now constantly have the light ring on the Alexa slowly flashing green. Anyone else have this? Would like to stop it. Amazon says it could be an incoming call but I donbt have that.

Being able to control Sonos via voice commands is convenient but not being able to play from my local library does limit the usefulness. Is there any way to add my library to one of these services easily and cheaply [ie free]?

I have 3 rooms that I like to group together. I did this in the Alexa app and called them "Everything". If I say "Alexa play Tom Petty on Everything" it plays Amazon music great but if I say "Alexa play Tom Petty radio from Pandora on Everything" it only plays on the Echo and not the Sonos.

After integration with Sonos, Alexa responds to commands and plays music. However, she no longer talks to me. No more riddles, no more weather reports, not more "Sleep tight". Please help.

I know that a 5.1 theater system needs to have a device plugged into your router. My router is located next to one of my Play 1s. Can I plug a Play 1 into the router with an Ethernet for a 5.1 surround sound system INSTEAD of plugging the Ethernet into the playbar.

I've a pair of Play 1s as part of a Playbase/sub home cinema set up and am planning to move them up to the bedroom and replace with the new Sonos1. How can I make TuneIn the default music service? Somehow my Sonos system has decided that Amazon is the default and I’d like to make it TuneIn radio. Any ideas?

Looking at the voice commands for Alexa and Sonos, it doesn't appear that I can "Alexa, play in the living room".

I have multiple cases where I say "Play TuneIn in the Kitchen" the Echo confirms saying something like "getting last station played.... Playing Today FM in the Kitchen" and then nothing happens. Have other people had this?

I hope Sonos provides some way to completely disable Alexa or any other listening-servie on its hardware and software if they are going the voice-command route. I'm extremely security and privacy conscious, and have to be in my work. I can't understand why anyone would want a device "listening" to everything said in the home or office setting. Trusting devices like that suggests a lot more faith and trust in companies and government than I have, despite assurances that it only listens for the key phrase to activate. It's a sure bet there's either a back door in it, or someone will hack it to eavesdrop on everything.

now that Alexa public beta is here, can sonos be accessed / controlled remotely outside its wifi network range using the alexa app? only reason i want this is we have a multi room set up with 5 sonos zones in our vacation rental home and would like to be able to control remotely thx

Can I play a Pandora station on both the Echo and my Sonos Play:3 simultaneously so it's essentially having two connected speakers?

Hey there, while im really happy to see that the alexa beta finally went live, im a bit concerned on the taken approach. I bought 5 echo dots about a year ago when I first read the Sonos/Alexa announcement. I knew the dots would have very poor sound quality compared to the bigger versions but it didn't really bother me, since I never intended to use them as speakers anyway. Its not just about the music - there are timers, alarms, todo-lists, calendars, audible and basically everything else that comes out of Alexa, that I want to hear through my quality speakers. I would be very happy for a solution that lets me connect one Alexa device to one specific Sonos speaker and routes all audio input through that speaker. There would be no need for additional Spotify/Audible integration because Alexa does all the work and Sonos just streams the audio. Yes, there would be a short delay compared to the native Alexa response but I wouldn't mind at all. Best regards, I90dl1

I have the 2nd generation play 5 which from what i understand has 2 small mics built it that are deactivated. I'm excited about the newly announced Alexa built Sonos One but what about the Play 5 (2nd gen)? It already has 2 mics built in so i thought play 5 was the perfect candidate for voice activation.

Hi guys, I'm hoping for some advice here on something. I currently have a Play:1 in my kitchen, a Play:3 in my hallway, and a Play:5 in my living room...love them all! My question is, as I have used the Play:5 with an optical toslink splitter to give me audio from my TV when watching movies, but also outstanding music quality which I am massively into...would I be able to purchase a second Play:5 to set up as a stereo pair for the TV audio set up? I really want the 5's as a stereo pair for music but don't want to lose the set up with my TV. I'm sure I read somewere that when setting the 5's up in stereo you lose the "line in" function, which is what the TV is set up to....i may be wrong. I hope that makes sense? Thanks Guys.

Is the music quality the same when requesting music through an Amazon Echo to Sonos as it is playing directly from the Sonos App? I assume that the Echo simply passes off the instruction and gets out of the way when the Sonos speakers start playing. The sound seems the same but ive only tried for a few minutes. (It's pretty cool!)

I have two Alexa's which are directly linked to Sonos players, One is a Play:5 and another a connect, in both cases the Echo is connected via a 3.5 mm audio cable. After today's update sounds intrinsic to Alexa, such as "What time is is" no longer play through the sonos speakers. If it disconnect the patch cord the sounds play just fine on the echo itself and other audio such as audiobooks/Spotify/SiriusXM stream as well as alarm and timer tones play just fine (and yes it's by patch cable not the new method, if I unplug the cable the echo plays the music via it's speakers). The sounds which are missing are the ones using the "Alexa" voice. I've tried disabling the app, forgetting all the speakers and then setting it all up again which didn't correct the issue. Any ideas this is a rather annoying bug.
