Can I watch a movie on Apple TV and send movie's audio to speakers being powered by a Connect:AMP?

Hi I've been unable to get voice control activated on the Sonos One. It seems that the set up process is not completing correctly. This is what I'm doing: 1) Open Sonos app 2) 'More' page menu 3) Voice Services 4) Amazon Alexa...Requires Alexa app 5) Add Amazon Alexa...Add to Sonos 6) Steps to set up Alexa...Connect your Amazon account this takes me to ps://na.account.amazon.com 7) Click 'Allow' to sign in to Alexa enabled Sonos speaker Clicking 'Allow' just brings me back to step 2). Voice control has not been activated and the microphone light remains off. I have an Amazon account, an Echo dot in another room with Alexa all set up and working fine. I have the Sonos skill enabled in the Alexa app and I can ask the Echo dot to play music on the Sonos One which it does. But I can't ask the Sonos One anything. Well, I can ask, but it ignores me. I have pressed and swiped the mic icon on the Sonos One but nothing happens. Have tried all the suggestions like un

I have a Playbar that is just 3 years old, after recently moving house, I am getting a high pitched noise from the playbar, It still plays music OK, but you can hear the high pitched noise behind the TV or music sound. All of the other equipment is the same, I have tried in various rooms around the house and even at my sisters house (to eliminate any electrical issues in my new home) It is very annoying - like tinnitus!! I have seen many posts on this community and seems it is a known problem. I have done a factory reset as instructed on the other many posts about this topic and the sound goes away and then comes back during the setup. I have submitted a diagnostics report:642892514

The best location for our Sonos Sub is on the ground right next to our forced air vent that delivers air conditioning and heat. I'm a little hesitant to place it there though, with fears that it will get damaged. Does anyone know if my concerns are valid? Thanks!

Hi. Does anyone know if the 100 day trial on Sonos products in the UK applies only to those bought directly from Sonos or does it also apply if you purchase from John Lewis, Currys etc ?

Hi all, Been delving into the 'Matrix' to find a cause for the sporadic dropouts we sometimes have here. Circa 19 devices in the matrix and each showing as tertiary (everything shows as tertiary) which I believe means wireless when we have 4 devices wired (including a boost) Devices include a mix of ZP120, ZP100, Play 1, SONOS One, Play 3, Play 5 Gen 2 There's no 'Root' device showing in the matrix, I assume there should be? I've just tried to change the zone wired into my router/modem to 'Root' via advconfig.htm followed by a reboot. In fact tried several times with no joy. Is the lack of a root my issue? House renovations are currently on hold, which is a shame as I was going to run cabling around the house. It would be good to limit the dropouts until then though. Hi all Just bought new Sonos One with Alexa from amazon. Set up Sonos and music easily. Trying to set up the Alexa and it says on Sonos not available in this country. I am in UK and have checked setting and it shows UK. Any help on this would be great. Bought specifically for Alexa and disappointed I can’t set this up. Thanks

Used for years but have just got a new laptop. downloaded the app but it wont connect to my play 1's ive tried everything it says. if I sign in to my spotify it connect straight away. On the manage drop down everything is greyed out except change language? Please help!

Hi, I've seen various threads on this but not yet found a solution. I have added Spotify to my Alexa skills, I have set it as the default music service and I have made sure all my email addresses are matching on each account but still when I ask my Play One w Alexa to play something it simply says 'sorry, something went wrong?' If I ask it to play something on TuneIn radio that works fine and I do have Spotify Premium. Is there anything else I should be trying? Many thanks, Alex

I have a Sonos Beam successfully connected with Alexa using the Sonos skill on the Amazon Alexa app and an Echo Dot. It seems all voice commands are running through the Dot and then playing (for example Audible book or Spotify music) on the Beam when directed to do so using the "in X room" command. Works fine that way. It seems, though, that this is not working via the Beam itself (i.e., the "Alexa baked right into Beam" style). To note: - Alexa doesn't respond to questions via the Beam speaker but only on the small Dot. - The Sonos Beam mic light is not on (I have tried tapping and swiping on the mic icon on the Beam). - I can't find a setting in the Sonos app that turns on the mic. - Ideally, I would like to remove the Dot altogether from next to the Beam and just rely on the Beam to handle with built-in Alexa but this doesn't seem possible at the moment (unplug the Dot and all functionality stops completely). Has anyone experienced this during setup of their beam?

I currently have a 5.1 system with sub/beam/ones but I noticed that when used as surrounds with a beam, the ones have their microphones turned off when Alexa is enabled. Would I lose any functionality by replacing the ones with play:1s? Are there any future plans for using the ones' microphones in 5.1 with the beam?

I can see how to add song to my sonos but how do I to add an album to my sonos? Any help appreciated

I just bought a Beam and a Play 1 and I was told I could synch them but when I try to set it up it says I need another Play 1 to set up surround. I just want to pair the Beam with the one Play 1, is that possible?

Can I use my old play 5 and a new play 5 Gen 2 as a stereo pair ?

I have a new LG OLED65C8 tv and new LG Play bar SK9Y.......can i use that and my Sonos sub and 2 Play:1s and still get stereo from the system

I unplugged the connect amp while moving and had to reconnect to new wireless network. Now the white light comes on for about a second and then goes off? No other lights, just turns white for a second and then blank?

I’m curious to know if Alexa (via the Sonos One) can control external devices such as my TV if I’m using the dedicated Sonos network (5.1 surround) connecting via Ethernet. My concern is that if my Sonos system is using a separate/dedicated WiFi that it won’t communicate with devices connected to my home WiFi. Am I wrong? Thanks!

I considered adding Connect AMP in surround mode with bookshelf speakers to Playbar. But I learned that disables the 2V sub output signal to a third party powered sub. If I keep the AMP and bookshelves in stereo mode, and hence use the sub, and then combine the two zones (Playbar+AMP), will the two combined zones work well for watching TV? I moved to a larger space, I would like to add two bookshelf speakers to compliment the sound from Playbar, since I already have the Connect amp and powered sub. I know this works well for music, not sure about theater/movie.

How do I sync my speech sound with my beam and tv?

I have Sonos speakers in 2 rooms at home. Now I like to move the one in the dining room and implement it as a satellit in the tv room. I have tried to find a Youtube about this but cant find any. Could any one let me know how I do this?

Configuring an Apple TV 4K (only has hdmi) with Epson Projector along with Playbar wirelessly. Can this be done? I have an old Apple TV with an optical audio in addition to the hdmi that needs a converter to coax hooked up to my connect amp to group my playbar. The problem is that I have some drops that get annoying. Anyone have a solution?

I just purchased two sonos ONEs and hooked them up. Previously, I had a PLAY:3 directly connected to my router in a closet because I couldn't get the speakers to work otherwise. Music played fine. But, I was told I don't need to bridge to a SONOS component directly attached to a router and that the new speakers and software should just be able to use my WiFi. So, I unplugged the speaker in the closet and after a few minutes none of the speakers works. If I have to buy a bridge to put in the closet, that is one solution, but I wasn't under the impression it should be necessary. I tried to restart a speaker and to restar the app but my efforts are not yielding any result unless I plug the speaker in the closet back in. But, this is a waste of a speaker just to establish a network. thanks Eric

Does the original playbar (the one with he mute button instead of the pause button) have the speech enhancement feature?

Hi. Anyone know the fix for Alexa not responding at all? I have two at home, the other unit is the same (Sonos One) and it's working fine. Thanks.

Can you install two bass speakers in one system?
