I am trying to use the line-in on my Connect:Amp. However, when I have a device plugged into the phono sockets, the following message appears: "To use line-in, connect a device to a line-in capable sonos player" - i.e. the Connect:Amp is not 'seeing' the Line-in connection. I have already tried the following: Swapped the phono cables over - no luck Rebooted the Sonos Connect:Amp - no luck Factory reset the Sonos Connect:Amp and added back to the system - no luck Then I connected the same line-in device to my Sonos Connect - the line-in does show up and works OK Used the same cables to re-connect to the Connect:Amp - still no luck I can only conclude that something is up with the Connect: Amp Can anybody help? Hello I'm moving from the UK to the US and want to take my Play 1s. I imagine I can just use a converter plug but I wanted to know whether I could buy US power cable for a Play 1 to avoid having to use a converter? Also, will the Play 1s work in the States? I read a few older posts on here that hinted at the technology being slightly different to avoid people buying cheaper versions abroad? Any help or advice much appreciated. Thanks Ed

I had the Sonos skill added and it was working for the most part. Playing my Pandora on the each player via Alex voice control. and I could see in the Sonos app the art of the current playing song. I updated the players and although Alexa says it is playing the music in the right location/device, I don't hear any music and the Sonos App on the iphone does not show that it is playing anything. The iOS sonos app is also up to date. I use an Echo Dot.

I have 5 Sonos devices on my account. My ex took 2. How do I remove them from the account. I don't want to have them linked.

I have a Sonos PlayBase and 2 Sonos 1 speakers set up as a surround sound system and I have successfully used my Alexa Dot through my Sonos speakers. However, today I renamed my Sonos Group, told Alexa to forget the old Group and discovered the new Group. The new Group shows up on the Alexa app but when asked to play music through the new Group Alexa tells me it is off-line. It is not off-line as I am able to use the Sonos with all other applications. When I look at the Sonos device on the Alexa app I am told "oops something went wrong, please try again" Help please, how can I sort this?

My basic question is, can I plug a powered stereo receiver INTO a Sonos Connect, or will the powered signal potentially cause problems or even fry the Connect? Right now I have a turntable running into a preamp then into my Connect. Then I've got a pair of powered speakers plugged into the Connect's output. The result is that I can play records through my Sonos system and/or through the powered speakers. This works fine but I'm considering upping my game and adding an actual stereo receiver and a pair of passive speakers to replace the powered speakers. The potential problem I see is that I'm moving the power source from the output side of the Connect to the input side of the Connect. Instead of turntable-> preamp-> Connect -> powered speakers / Sonos speakers It would be turntable-> preamp-> Powered receiver-> Connect-> Sonos speakers (the new passive speakers running directly off the new receiver) I'm concerned that running a powered signal into the Connect then out to

Will l be able to play the music I have saved on my iPad via Echo dot on Sonos

I've just set up echo to discover my Sonos speakers in "living room" and "office". I'm able to tell Alexa to play music in either he living room or the office. I have not figured out how to have Alexa play on both speakers simultaneously.

Hey folks! If I want to have three separate zones that are quite far apart from one another, and all of which have wired speakers, how would you recommend I go about doing that? I will be able to place my Connect (or primary base or whatever) at the router, and I can connect my first zone of speakers directly to that. Can I daisy-chain a Connect to two separate Play-1 boxes? Is that the most elegant solution? The wifi connection isn't great, so I'm interested to hear what setup you'd recommend in two different scenarios: - If I could get the wifi to work well - If I wanted to connect all the zones using ethernet (presumably using daisy-chaining?) Thank you for your help! I'm excited to become a Sonos fan but the hardware capabilities are a little confusing.

I've set up my sub and it is currently in the "living room" group with my playbar. When finishing the set up and doing the audio calibration the set up just stops and I can't find another audio re-calibrate button on the app. My sub isn't producing any vibrations or noise. Can anyone help?

How do I add all my sonos music library to Alexa?

Here is what I'd like to do: Have TV sound play in the kitchen as well as on our existing non-sonos TV soundbar. Would it work to get a Play 5, connect line-in from the TV, have it NOT actually play the TV on the play 5, but select it to play to the Play 1 in the kitchen instead (while having TV play sound on the old sound bar, too)? I don't particularly want to buy the TV soundbar since we already have one. We have a Samsung smart TV. Does anybody know if this is possible?

Once you get music playing from Sirius can you ask Alexa to change stations to a given station..like 80's on 8?

After the latest update, the "Pause All" function doesn't show on the (Android smartphone) controller screen when speakers are grouped.....although "Turning off Sonos" in the Support still refers to using it...!?! What's the correct way to stop all speakers that are grouped together (like when you're leaving your house)?

I am using an Echo Dot with my Sonos. I can’t seem to turn the volume up or down using Alexa voice command. It says my speakers are not compatible with this command.

I have a grouping setup that comprises 2 play:3's, a sub and a playbar, and im trying to make it work with my echo dot. I have other rooms working fine with them (so i can issue voice commands to my echo dot and play music/radio on my bedroom play:one speakers) - but it doesnt seem to work for the living room "group". Is this supported right now or is it something thats being worked on for a future update?

I used to be able to go back to TV sound after listening to music. Now I can not find that feature. I need to power my Tv on and off to get it to play again. Am I doing something wrong?

I am thinking of getting a Sonos CONNECT AMP and hooking it to my TV. When hooked to my TV can I still control the volume with my TV remote or do I have to use the Sonos app?

I use a connect amp with a line in from a 3.5mm jack to rca phono leads. On an evening I turn tv off but when I get up in the morning the connect amp still says its “playing” the tv line in even though the line in is dormant. The amp is warm which means it’s been going all night. Does it not have a self shut down operation If it becomes dormant? Would this not be a great idea. I as much as anyone think it’s ridiculous that I’m writing this, after all, all I need to do is put on the app and press stop on the amp. I just keep completely forgetting. And I think the times I do it would be nice if amp shut down after 30 minutes or so. Just a thought.

How long is the Play:1 power cord?

Hi, I'm a new Sonos owner (just received it yesterday!). I bought a playbase and 2 Ones that are on their way later this month. After setting everything up, I couldn't get audio to come out of my playbase while watching tv via directv. So after connecting the optical audio cable to the directv box (rather than the TV as the instructions say), the sound started working. The problem is that when I switch to my Apple TV, I can't get any audio to come out of the playbase at all (obviously because the cable is connected to the directv box). Does anyone have a solution to this? Do I need to buy an hdmi splitter? Ideally I want to connect my optical audio cable to my TV (like the directions say) so that no matter what input I'm on, the audio comes out of the playbase... but it seems like the cable box is posing a problem with this...

I use a connect amp using Airplay, my question is if I play music to my connect amp (the source beeing the line in, will this signal be sent also to other sonos speakers in the sistem?for example a play 1?)

I have a Sonos Soundbar and two PLAY 1s connected via my broadband router, which also connects to my PC holding digitised CDs. Is there any way I can connect headphones to listen to internet radio and my CDs instead of through the speakers?
