We have three SONOS speakers at the office and often times when we need to stream a track for whatever reason, someone else might be streaming to it. How do we determine who is streaming to the SONOS, so that we can either kick them off or ask them to release the stream.

I bought two sonos ones to act as surrounds with my playbar in my living room. Besides a few small problems everything seemed to be working fine. Now the sonos ones will NOT execute music commands. When I ask Alexa to play a song, it acts like it is going to work and says that it is now playing in the living room but nothing happens. I have tried everything that I know to try and fix the issue. I have removed everything and readded everything again. I even changed the groups name thinking there may be a naming conflict. It is now named TV Room, but that didn't work either. Everything else works as far as Alexa goes, just NO MUSIC. This is really frustrating. Does anybody have any suggestions for me?

I’m in the process of setting up 2 separate outdoor areas with wired speakers that I want to set up as 2 Sonos zones. I understand that when setting up wired speakers, you wire each pair of speakers to its own connect amp to form the 2 zones. My question is, do both connect Amps need to be connected to my router, or does just one of the connect Amps need to be connected to the router? The rest of my house is a 5.1 in the living room and play 3’s in the bedroom ‘s and garage; once one of the connect Amps are connected to my router, can the rest of the house run wirelessly or would you recommend other devices be plugged into the router.

I did setup the Sonos One speakers initially as individuals speakers so that I could play with the Alexa features. Today I went to turn the Ones into surround speakers for my Playbase. It keeps asking me to press and release the button on the back of the left speaker, at which point it fails. “! Surround Setup error”. Any advice?

Hello forum vets, Yesterday I received, set up, and connected my Play:1 and 5 to my Amazon Echo and Sonos Alexa Skill. It works fine to control music commands to the Sonos (Alexa, skip X, play in Y room, etc.). However, I've been searching this and Amazon's forums for an answer/guidance to the following: Can I have music play from BOTH my Sonos speakers AND the Echo? I have a full-size echo which has a decent speaker in it, as well. I'd like to include it in my surround sound/whole home speaker experience. I understand it's not a speaker I could control through the Sonos app, but is there a way to "tether" it to one of the Sonos speakers/include it in a music playing device cluster via the Alexa app? I can't for the life of me figure out how to play different streams in different room on the latest update to the Android app. I can remove a stream from the list or add it but I can't choose to have a different stream playing like before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Background: My Sonos network consists of of 6 rooms and 13 players. My Playbar is connected to my home wired network with an Ethernet cable. The remaining players are all connected via the Sonos mesh network. All 13 players are on network 192.168.128.0. My Sonos system works great. My computers are also on the 192.168.128.0 network and the conputer-based Sonos controller finds my Sonos network without issue. Recently I set up a new Lynksys Velop wireless mesh network. The Velop primary node is also connected to the 192.168.128.0 network with an Ethernet cable. The Velop wireless network is network 192.168.1.0. My portable devices all connect to the new Velop wireless network also without issue. The problem is that when I try to run the Sonos controller from my Android phone, it does not find my Sonos network. Well I'm pretty sure it's because the Sonos network is on 192.168.128.0 and my Android controller is on 192.168.1.0 and I understand that the Controller must be on

I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 on my Mac.  In Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options, I have the following entry that allows incoming connections for Sonos:   However, every time that I start the Sonos Controller app, I get this message asking if I want Sonos to accept incoming connections.  How can I prevent this message from appearing every time?  Thanks  

Hi all, I purchased a house with a great multi-room Sonos system, but I found the system is registered to the previous owner. Is there a way I can change this or do I need to chase the previous owner and have him 'un-register'?

Hi there, I would like to use 2 Play:1’s with my TV and have left and right channels. I understand there is a LOT of complications doing this. I know that I can use an RCA to optical audio adapter and then the adapter to a Sonos CONNECT and then finally to the speakers. However, will the channels be individual (left and right)? If not, what do I have to do to achieve this? Also, would I be able to stream music via the Sonos app to the speakers or will they be just for the audio coming out of the TV? Kind regards, W Collins

I recently got a new TV and have a Sonos PlayBar. I'm not able to control the TV volume with either the TV remote or the cable box remote. The only way that I can change the volume when watching TV, is through the Sonos app. Any ideas on how I would be able to get the volume connected back into the TV remotes?

Hi- I've successfully turned off the TV speakers and everything works perfectly, but I cannot seem to disable the onscreen text display of "Speakers Off" that shows up on my Panasonic TCP-54V10 every time I adjust the volume. It's a minor annoyance that I'd love to solve. I'm using a Comcast Xfinity XR2 remote to control the entire setup. I've seen a few potential solutions patched together but nothing that addresses my setup directly. Can you please give me some tangible steps? Thanks for your help.

I know other 3rd Party hardware devices (i.e. EchoBee 4) that have Alexa built in do not offer all of the same features as a true Amazon/Alexa Device. Does the Sonos-Alexa have the "Drop In" feature, where Alexa acts like a home intercom system?

When I use a voice command to play Radio 4 though Tune In Radio the sound comes through the Alexa speaker. How do I get it to come through the Sonos speakers by default?

I have set up my Sonos One. I have 5 Sonos 1's, a playbar, subwoofer, and sonos 5. I have 2 sonos one's, playbar and woofer grouped in the family room for surround sound. I ask Sonos one to play classical music in the Master Bedroom and Alexa responds, Playing classical music in the master bedroom, however, it is playing everywhere!

Since the Alexa integration update my Play:5 hooked up via Line-In behind a Amazon Echo Dot plays with almost non hearable low volume. When music (spotify) starts playing the volume goes back to normal. It is therefore a very bad bug because most Echo commands don't come through. Example: I tell alexa to play a song. Now she is anwering but I cannot hear the answer. Anybody else has that problem?

Hello All. Recently applied the new latest update for the Sonos Desktop app. All works, and having no problems. However, it appears that the old under the covers utility, the stats app is dead ? If I run the command : http://192.168.1.XXX:1400/status I used to get a full listing of options, and was able to check on how many track in the library etc. Which was useful to see how things were going after I reconfigure the archive. Hi - I'm in the new app and I want to search for a radio station by name. When I click search it takes me through to Spotify. Anyone solved this?
