When playing music and getting an incoming call on my android phone there's no easy and fast way to mute the music, (as I now about). Is there any way to have this issue fixed. As it is today I choose to not play music due to incoming work calls.

I just got a new Remote control from AT&T that I use to control the TV (Samsung 55"). My current Remote works fine with the SONOs Playbar volume. Question: to get the volume control on the SONoS with the new remote; do I have to setup the playBar from scratch or is there an easier way?

It would be great to use play 1 as computer speaker. i dont want to buy other third party speakers, i just want to add to my sonos system! buy 2 and pair them. and if I need them elsewhere i can just move them and use them as normal. maybe an added feature on the mac app that would allow it to be mirrored the same way you can play music from you ipad now.

I currently have a 20+ year old system, including 2 Bose Accoustimass 5 speakers wired into the ceiling and subwoofer in one room and a pair of wired speakers in another, with an receiver and CD player. I'd like to wirelessly stream music but don't want to rip out my ceiling speakers, but can upgrade the rest of the system. I don't know anything about this stuff - is there a set up that can work with the current Bose?

The release notes for version 6 indicates that Trueplay is supported by Play:1, Play:3, and Play:5 units. Has anyone tried it on a ZonePlayer S5?

I have a playbar, sub and two Play:1 all connected wireless to my home network. (so nothing wired) Can i use one of the ethernet connectors at the back of the playbar to connect my smart-tv to my home network?

We have Alexa in every room, as first time Sonos One users, I would like to know if we place the two new Sonos Ones in our living room,(Stereo Paired) can we control them with the Alexa in our Kitchen, and if playing music, will both Sonos and Alexa play music at the same time? Hi there, I've recently been encountering various issues with my Ubiquiti UniFi network where the signal just disappears for hours on end for no apparent reason. I decided to reset my Sonos system and set it up using my Sonos Bridge over SonosNet rather than on my home WiFi network to help reduce interference on the 2.4Ghz band. Primary reason for this was that my Sonos Controller on my iPhone would often tell me it could not find the Sonos players, despite all being on the network. Heres what I have: BT HomeHub 6 acting as DHCP server for entire network and VDSL Modem to my ISP (WiFi is turned OFF on this BT HomeHub6) Ubiquiti UniFi Switch 8 connected to BT HomeHub 6 providing PoE to 2 x Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-Pros (one upstairs, one downstairs) Sonos Bridge and various other streaming media devices (Panasonic TV, BT TV Box, XBOX) is also wired into my UniFi Switch 8 to provide a reliable wired network for the SonosNet base (Bridge) for other players to connect to I ha

The regular sonos connect has an optical connection, which I believe I could use towards the LG soundbar. However, I’ve got a sonos connect amp, which I don’t understand if I can get to work together with my TV. Does anyone know if by using any kind of adapter or anyhow be able to connect the two units.

I have two Play 1’s the first is wired into my router by Ethernet and the second is not. I made some changes to my cabling and now both Play’s are connected via WiFi as I can see them on my network. How can I get back to my previous set up? Is it worth me pursuing this route? Thanks.

Hi, I have a Sonos Playbar and am looking to get an HDMI switch with optical out. There are quite a few questions about this on the forum already, which recommend a few reasonably priced ones. However, the one requirement I can't seem to meet is auto switch/auto sense i.e. the switch should automatically select the last input activated. Checking the ones on Amazon and most seem to come with a remote or manual buttons for switching. Can anyone recommend an HDMI switch that can be bought in the UK that has at least the following: - 4 HDMI in, 1 out - Optical out - Auto switch/auto-sense (no remote required) - ARC Thanks

I just upgraded to Sierra on my Mac and want to install the Sonos App. Nothing happens. It looks like in Sierra the third party install option is not available. There has to be another way to install it. Would like to stream music from my Mac. Currently it does work on my iPhone. Please help.

Is Sonos tracking user response to this update? I've been taking a screenshot of reviews from the Google Play Store daily. Here is a breakdown of the Play Store reviews from 10/7/2017 to 10/15/2017. 5 star: +8 4 star: -5 3 star: +32 2 star: +155 1 star: +396 I have attached screenshots for reference. At a ratio of 137.75 bad reviews (1 or 2 star) to every single good review (4 or 5 star), I think it's safe to say that most users don't like this update. I don't have stats from the Apple Store, but the reviews from there indicate IOS users have very strong negative reactions. From what I've seen on the forums, the response here is not much better. Can we expect some type of fix soon?

I have Sonos through out the house. Some run though a Savant amp and some through Connects. I am trying to add a sub to a room that is not using a Connect. It is not allowing me and says that a sub can only be used in a room with a Play or Connect Amp. Really? Is there a work around? Thank you in advance.

My current setup is a Panasonic TCP42S2, an Apple TV 4, and a Samsung BD-J4500R Blu Ray player all connected via hdmi. I have an optical out from the TV to my Playbase. For some reason, when using my Apple TV, I get 5.1 on my Playbase just fine. But when using Blu Ray, I only get stereo. I’ve tried every setting possible on the player and my tv. I’ve ensured the Blu Ray is set to “re-encode Dolby D” and downmixing is set to “Surround”. I’ve turned off CeC, changed hdmi cables, swapped inputs, and no dice. My only thought is, in the Blu Ray player manual, there’s this stipulation: “[i]If your TV is not compatible with compressed multi-channel formats (Dolby Digital, DTS), the player may output PCM 2ch downmixed audio even though you selected Bitstream (either Re-encoded or Unprocessed) in the setup menu.[/i]” How does it decide this and can I override it? Alexa - what a piece of junk. I'm serious. :@ I ask it to play a group (Cream today) and it will either play one, or if I'm lucky two songs then stop. Or if it does move to a third song it plays rap. Rap for God's sake. The last thing I want to listen to is rap crap. I asked it to play sixties music today. Two songs and silence. It has become very obvious to me that the people who program this device do not know what they are doing. A lot of money for a piece of garbage. Merry Christmas to my wife.... not.

I have 2 Ones in a stereo pair Alexa is working on both but independently sometimes shouting Alexa the left speaker responds other times its the right, it can sometimes be I am standing next to the left speaker but its the right that wakes up or visa versa more often than not neither respond. My question is should I have Alexa working on both my Ones if so are there plans to have them act as one i.e. both Ones listen for the wake word with Alexa replying out of both. I'm an Amazon Prime customer so I have access to their Prime Music service, though it's not the unlimited version; which I understand to mean that a subset of the music in Amazon's catalog is included for streaming but not everything. My question is ... when I enable Alexa on the Sonos One, by default, the device is authorized by my Amazon account. Does that mean when I tell it, for example, "Alexa, play Jimi Hendrix", the only songs it will select are those which are free per my Prime account? In other words, can I be confident that Alexa won't select an artist's songs not included in my account and charge me for playing them? My intent with enabling Alexa was to use it to play music from my personal library on my NAS, but learned on this community that this isn't an option (and I concur with the vast majority of comments that this a huge gap in the product's functionality). Hi peeps. I have 2 new Sonos Ones as a left and right stereo pair. I am thinking of buying a Playbar, which I know will connect to my tv through the audio out through it, but can I connect all speakers together and play Spotify / Deezer through Playbar and Ones as a whole?? Thanks!!

I am new to Sonos but about to buy. I have read a lot but don't know the technology or the Sonos App so would appreciate clarifying the following. I plan to get a Playbase for TV. I am also thinking 2 Play:1 or 2 Play :3. These would be used either as part of a 5.1 setting, or in kitchen and dining room when we have guests or long dinners. Is it easy to move the speakers from being stereo in surround sound setting to single speakers in different rooms? Or does it require major reconfiguration each time they move? We are liable to end up with them in 1 place and maybe extend the system, but want to start with something that is viable for both configurations and see how that goes. The reason for Play:3 vs Play:1 is thinking they could be used as individual speakers. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Jim

I have a playbase wired to my router with two Play Ones. They were working perfectly a few days ago. Today I noticed that the play ones were no longer connected. I managed to add them again to the surround system, but no sound comes out of the rest speakers. I noticed that the playbase is WM0, meaning boost mode, but the Play Ones are WM1, meaning standard. Is this causing the problem? Any suggestions on how to fix this? I really want to get my beloved Surround Sound working again! Thanks!

I have a Crosley recored player plugged into my Play 5. Simply put, I am not happy primarily with the quality and secondary the volume of sound coming out. What can I do to improve sound? As it does have a built in preamp will an external amp or another preamp or sonos connect or sonos amp improve sound quality (or damage anything)? note- I cannot upgrade the record player as it was a gift from my wife so hoping something between the record player and play 5 will do the trick.
