I need to swap a couple speakers amongst existing rooms - how do I do that? In other words, take an existing speaker that is set up in one room, and simply switch it with another existing speaker in another room...
Move them to the rooms where you want them and you can rename their rooms in “Settings/Room Settings” within the Sonos App... just select the speaker you wish to rename. If the renamed room exists already, just user an interim ‘temporary' room-name till you swap-out the other speaker from that room.



Note if you have any of these speakers registered in Apple HomeKit for use with Siri, it’s best to rename/swap the room names in the HomeKit App instead... this applies to those speakers that use voice services and Apple iOS Devices. Renaming them in HomeKit will change them in Sonos... but just ignore this, if it’s not applicable in your case.
