I am a novice user - in fact I must shamefacedly admit I had never even heard of Sonos till I went shopping for a system to allow me to wirelessly listen to music from my analogue hi-fi system in other rooms. On the advice of the salesperson I ended up with a Connect and two Ones. I have set up the Ones (Standard setup) on my home wi-fi. But I can't find any documentation about the most basic controls on the One. Nothing in the documentation that came in the box, nothing on the Android app, nothing on the Support page of the website (which is where one usually finds product manuals). Is there any? My first few questions (I fear there will be more) are * What are the touch controls on top of the One? I guess the one in the middle is a play/pause button, but what are the ones with four dots? * What is the big button on the back for? When I push it the green LED on top turns red and starts to flash for a while, but so what? * Is there a list of colours and patterns for the LED o

Hey Everyone, I’m running the latest iOS app and firmware on my Sonos One’s. I noticed that sometimes Pandora’s thumbs up/down buttons are missing from the Sonos iOS app. I can still tell the Sono’s One’s Alexa to thumbs up/down, though. It seems that this happens when starting Pandora via Alexa and not via the Sonos app. Has anyone else noticed this?

I recently upgraded my man cave installing a Marantz SR5012 AV Surround Receiver. Previously I had an old Sony audio receiver (no video) and had no issues with the same Sonos Connect appliance. I connected the Sonos Connect "Audio Out" RCA's with the Marantz "Audio In" RCA's using the "CD" input. I know the Marantz is working fine no issues with TV/Cable, BluRay or gaming inputs (all HDMI connected however, no other RCA's connected) but I am struggling to understand why my RCA connected Sonos Connect audio isn't working properly (appears all is good but no sound). After installing the Connect I am fairly certain the Connect is "connected" to the Sono's phone app as all other indicators appear in order (Connect appliance illuminates the solid white light, plus the appliance play and volume features on the Connect are interacting with the app). I just purchased a house that had 2 rear Cambridge SoundWorks speakers wired in the family room. There are also 2 pool side speaker wires ran but no speakers connected yet. Both speaker sets come into one centrally located area where the TV is in the family room. I'm thinking of getting either Polk or Bose outdoor speakers. My questions are, if I get a Sonos Soundplay or Beam and a ConnectAMP, can I connect all of the speakers together running Sonos? What about a subwoofer, would I need to get a Sonos sub or could I buy some cheaper one and integrate that as well? Wondering if I need to get a receiver (thinking maybe the Denon Heos) to connect everything then add a Sonos Connect or can I run everything through a ConnectAMP and not need a receiver? Can I pair two play 3s with the new Beam - or does it have to be two play 1s - will it work correctly for surround sound while watching movies?

I currently have a Play:5 in my TV room. I am considering a Beam. I do not wish to buy another Play:5, or two of something else. Can I have the Play:5 as a rear non-stereo speaker working with the Beam?

Hi all, I've recently moved to an iPhone X (from an iPhone 7), and noticed that I can no longer adjust the volume of the Sonos app using the iPhone volume buttons. On the iPhone 7, I was able to pickup the phone, and with out unlocking it, just adjust the playback volume by pressing the volume buttons on the side of the phone. Now, I have to unlock the phone and actually use the slider volume of the app itself. Even if the phone is unlocked and the Sonos app in the foreground, the volume buttons no longer seem to impact the Sonos volume playback. Does anyone else see the same behaviour. Perhaps I just need to tweak a iPhone X settings somewhere. Cheers, Rob

My Sony KDL-40W2000 does not have ARC connection. When i use the adaptor cable to the optical connection on the Sky box things work fine until i turn the TV off - the sound from the TV continues through the Beam. Any ideas how to fix this.

Hey guys I'm looking at getting a couple of Sonos ones and a playbar. I currently have 2x Google homes in 2 different rooms. I plan on putting the play ones into different separate rooms also. I plan on keeping Google homes around until Sonos can take over with Google support. My question is, we often say to the Google home "hey Google, play blah blah on all devices". Then it will pay music on both Google homes in sync around the house. Will it also play on the play ones also? If so, would it Play on the playbar also? I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere so hopefully someone in a similar position can help Thanks alot Andy

I have a Sony Bravia tv model KDL-47W805A, , I used the Sonos app for instructions for the set up. I connected the beam to hdmi arc ( which is numbered 1). The tv is attached to our cable box by hdmi no. 3. I enabled the Sony sync, everything should have worked. I can get sound on the beam when watching Netflix, YouTube etc but not when watching anything using the cable box, in fact if the beam is attached with the hdmi cable I don't get any sound from the tv.

Can I group one unit Sonos Play 1 with one unit Sonos One together in a bedroom and play ANY sound from the IPad and IPhone ? Example, watch any nonYoutube and non Netflix video ?

I have an existing play 1 that I want to Group with a new Sonos One. The purpose is to use the Airplay2 support on Sonos One to watch ALL video sources (youtube, Netflix, others) via IPad and iPhone. But without using Alexa voice control feature. Will such a group set up be stable ?

While watching a film, sound failed to play properly from the rear right play 1 speaker and ibstead craxkling xould be heard. Earlier in the day, sound was also lost completely and then came returned over a couple of seconds making it very obvious something wasn't right with the right play 1 speaker. I have retuned the full system as I have read that can fix the crackling, but it didn't seem to fix the problem. Has anyone else had this issue/know of a solution? My diagnostic number for this is also: 484894677

This seems plausible to me, but I haven’t seen any clear confirmation. Does it make sense that a turntable to a pre-amp to a television could play through a Beam? (I understand it might not make acoustic sense, but I’m contemplating buying a beam to replace my old receiver in a smaller room)

Hi I am sorry to ask yet another question about having an Echo Dot play all sound or music through a nominated Sonos Play 1 speaker by default. I’ve seen plenty of questions about this but can’t find any definitive answer as far as I can see. Is this feature coming (some say Amazon will deliver it?) or not?

How do you check the audio format that's being outputted by the Beam? I heard you can check it with the app, but I don't see where... I have a beam and two ones and I want to make sure I'm getting surround sound.

I used to be able to command Alexa to play say, Radio 2 from Tunein in Dining Room but since I got a new router I get the reply 'I didn't find anything called dining room that can play music'. On my Alexa app the Sonos speakers appear to be correctly set up as devices, and Tunein is listed as a music service but it won't let me set it as the default music service. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi - Play 5 worked flawlessly and recently stopped being visible on system. I had to unmount from ceiling and finally performing diagnostics and on trying to reconnect wireless, the system flashes orange after pushing the "connect" button. I've seen others with the same problem and seems to indicate a wireless failure?:(

I've just bought a Sonos ONE and have two other old sonos speaker (ie not smart). I thought I would be able to control all three through Alexa, either playing one, two or all three at a time but I can't. Apparently I have either to just control the Sonos ONE with Alexa, and then the others the old manual way on the Sonos app. OR I have to group all three on the Sonos app and then I can play all three via Alexa. This is not what I understood from the advertising. Is there a way I can make my smart Sonos ONE with Alexa control which speakers to play via voice control?

I have a Sonos playbar and an iPhone 6S. While playing music with the Sonos app, the song will randomly stop during playback and switch to a new song. Frustrating when I am into a song and it stops all of the sudden. Any idea why this happens?

Hello, I can’t airplay to a set of stereo paired Play5’s. The speakers don’t show in the device’s options on the iOS now playing widget. The pair isn’t discoverable in the Home app either. (Removed during my troubleshooting and am now unable to add the stereo pair.) When I unpair the speakers, I am able to both airplay to speaker and add the speaker to the Home app. Adding the gen1 Play5 as a stereo pair to my gen2, breaks airplay and integration with Home app. Steps reproduce: 1. Airplay to stereo pair of Play5’s. Fails, no such device listed in airplay device list within the iOS widget. (Playing music to the stereo pair works as expected via the Sonos app.) 2. Unpausing the stereo pair from the Home app fails. Grayed and unresponsive. 3. Separate the stereo pair within the Sonos app. 4. Airplay via iOS works on the gen2 speaker. 5.
