Hi. Playing radio from tunein via voice control is great. Also skipping tracks and changing volume is great. I’m not an online service streaming customer and never will be. I like my music local and I like to own it. When will I be able to tell Alexa to play from. My local library?? Perhaps it’s not someth8ng amazon want to let us do, but my sonos system expansion has been paused for a couple of years now due this missing feature. If a competitor launches the ability then I’ll have to swap, although ideally I’d like to remain a loyal sonos fan. It’s a definite sticking point for me though.

My Apple TV 4K (5 gen.) remote will not connect to my Playbar. The Apple Remote have no mute button wich make pairing the device impossible.. Is there any work arounds? BUT the remote will only turn the volume up! No mather if I push «+» or «-« the Playbar responds by turning the volume up!!

I just got my Sonos One today and am trying to get Alexa up and running. It is working with all of my home automation, Wink, Nest etc, but I can get Alexa to play anything on Spotify, which is my only music subscription service. She keeps saying “cannot play from Spotify music on that Device”. I have linked all of my accounts, and they show up as linked. I also do have a premium account on Spotify. Anyone have any thoughts? She does offer to set me up an Amazon music account when I just ask for a specific song or artist, then plays me a sample of the song.

Hello. I saw the announcement of the Sonos One and the Alexa integration. If I get the Sonos One, will I need to buy an additional Alexa device?

Has anyone paired bluetooth headphones to a Gen 2 Play 5 using a 3rd party bluetooth transmitter / receiver? If it has been done please can you post a step by step guide on how to do it. Do you then play the music as normal through the Sonos app. Thank in advance.

I've got 6 echos.. with any of them I can't enable the skill.. Well, I say that.. I've clicked enable, logged into Sonos and logged into Amazon and authorised, and bam.. Nothing.. just the alexa app opens at homepage. I then go into devices or skills... No sonos devices, no sonos skill! I've clicked voice services in sonos app and I end up in this constant LOOP of enabling it's ridiculous!! I've run discovery by voice and app, nothing. All firmware bang up to date as of even today's update. Could someone please save my sanity to just play some fekkin music through alexa!

I'm moving from a dedicated PC to a NAS for holding my files. I've seen that historically folks like the WD My Book models for a stand alone NAS. Is that still the case? Is there a reason to prefer ethernet over USB? And I gather that I need to make sure the NAS still supports SMBv1. This NAS will exist only for SONOS and not act as a file server in other capacities. Any tips on make/model appreciated.

New to Sonos. I have a 5.1 setup for my TV and also listen to music in the "TV Room." Everythings seems to be working correctly with my Playbar, Sub and two Play:1 speakers. Just one questions I haven't found directly answered on the forum or in support: There are two check boxes in the controller app room settings: TV Autopay Ungroup on Autoplay Can someone explain in clear English what those boxes do and why I would want to check/uncheck one, the other or both? Sonos One Alexa does not work as well as Echo Dot -- does not respond as quickly and sometimes not as accurate -- anyone see this behavior?

I have a problem with my home theater systems (surround sound) when I hear the music or i play the tv, sometimes my surround sound goes off, and after 20 or 30 second it comes back. After I set up Alexa through my iPhone, how can I pair it with my phone, so I can play music on my phone through Sonos One?

What is the proper set-up?

I recently bought a Playbar, but it doesn't work with the optical output from my ageing (but excellent) Pioneer plasma TV (PDP-436XDE). There is light coming through the optical but no audio. I know everything else works as it works fine when connected to my Sky satellite box or Apple TV (sounds great!) and music streaming also excellent. So it seems that just the TV is the issue. I have a workaround in that I have two optical leads, one from the sky box and the other from the Apple TV, which I can change as required, but its not really a satisfactory solution. Does anyone have any experience with this connecting this TV to the Playbar or any idea how to sort this out? I've been through the settings on the TV pretty thoroughly, but without success. (I also can't disable the speakers, although I can disconnect them - they are a sound bar type). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How do I go about deleting a room from my sonos app that doesn't have a speaker in it. It is not needed as a room choice anymore

Originally I had envisioned that the integration of Alexa and Sonos would have Alexa handle the voice commands while Sonos would do the work integrating with your music services. Because Sonos is music service agnostic I had hope that they would support Google Play Music. But now, if I'm understanding, Alexa is handling the voice commands AND integration and the Sonos speaker is essentially just acting like a speaker. in other words, it would be up to Amazon to create the Google Play Music integration. I have much less confidence that Amazon will let Google play in their pool. Can anybody offer clarity on who is doing what and whether competitor services (specifically Google Play) are likely to be integrated?

I live on the 8th floor of a 12-story condo building and want to use my Sonos for a party on the roof where there's absolutely no Internet connection. Will I have to purchase a separate wireless hotspot device to be able to set my Sonos up there? Or is there a way I can play music on my Sonos without an Internet connection at all? (I can bring my bridge and my laptop, too.) I rely on Spotify for my music as well -- not sure if that makes a difference in whether I'll be able to play songs without Internet connection. EDIT! There's a lot of "not currently available" and "this is still a beta release" posted on this subject. But what I want to know is, WILL Alexa ultimately be able to access my LOCAL music library? I mean, is Sonos and Google actively working on this feature? Please throw us a bone...We're still out there you know -- That is, Sonos' original customers. Not everyone gets all their music from Spotify, Pandora etc. When we all first heard about the Alexa integration, we got excited with the thought of accessing our personal music libraries via voice commands. Understanding the technology challenges at hand, we just want to know if this is ultimately still a goal. Won't even hold you to it if the tech hurdles prove too great to overcome. Thank You!

On my echo's, flash briefing cycles through BBC, NPR, NewYorkTimes,CNN,Daily202 and others. When I say "what is my flash briefing" or "what's new" to my Sonos, I get only the first item in my sequence...BBC. Then it thinks it is done. Does Sonos support of flash briefing allow more than one source? Or am I having a problem other Sonos One users aren't seeing?

Two quesrions.. I habe a few sonos 1's scattered around the house right now. .. Workomf pretty good. If i add a playbar, a sub and 2 sonos 1's as a 5.1 homw threatre in the living room.. For audio.. Will the entire livingroom setup show up as one speaker in the app or will I need to group each time to play music? And assumimg it does show up as one item. Can i group the home theatre witj the other sonos 1's and have music playing through all speakers in the livingroom as well as the rest of the house? Lastly. If watchimg tv, and the sound is being output to the playbar via optical. Can i group that sound and olay it all aroind the house?

When I open my Alexa app (with a Sonos One) and click on the "your Skills" tab, I immediately get a pop-up error message --> "The language you selected does not match your Amazon account settings. As a result, Alexa skills are not available. To get the best Alexa experience, please choose English (Canada) by selecting continue. CONTINUE. When I press continue, it takes me back to the Settings screen and then keeps looping back to the error message above. I'm not able to access my "Your Skills" page. Help please! Thanks!

Would be a great idea that Sonos system be available within cars. We spend so much time on commutes, it would be a great option to extend our home Sonos there. Any plans to partner with BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, etc...?

My new Sonos ONE is unable to playback any music from my network source Music Library \\server\music. I already had a Playbar and that still works fine with the same Music Library. Interestingly, if I first start playing on the Playbar, and later add the Sonos ONE as an output, the ONE will also start playing fine from the network source! However, if starting out with just the ONE, or starting with both Playbar and ONE at the same time, it doesn't work. This is very repeatable. Anyone else having the same issue? Any ideas about a resolution? Or is it just one of many ONE bugs?

Hi, I have two question and I couldn't find clear answers to them yet: - Can I combine the Playbar with one Play:1 and one Play:5 as surround speakers? Setting don't allow it, but is there a workaround? - Can I use my Play:5 as Sub for the Playbar? Again settings don't seem to allow it, but it has a lot of bass and should be able to complement the other speakers with bass. Is there a workaround? Cheers!
