Hi there Just installed a Bridge, Playbar and Play5. Having problems though accessing fully my iTunes on my iMac. Also neither my iPad nor iPhone5 can access all of my iTunes library and play music on the Playbar. Message states it cannot access iTunes on my iMac Please can you help?

The Line In on one of my Connect Amps, to which a Dot is wired, is set to Autoplay. With grouped speakers also checked. It works fine except when switching back to the Dot after music play via the app. Not only will the wired to Line In Dot not override music playing when given a voice command, music play does not start via the Dot even after the earlier music play is stopped using the app. And even after the queue is cleared via the app. When I pulled out the audio wire from the Dot, music was playing, heard via its speaker in response to the command it had received; plugged the wire back, but no music play. It took pressing the start/stop button on the Connect Amp and three flashes of the green light before music from the wired Dot started. There is no trouble in the reverse direction, in starting music from the app after the Dot is commanded to stop. Is this normal? Should the Line In set to Autoplay not respond to a signal as soon as it gets it? PS: The Dot signal levels also s

I have a group on Sonos at work that has 3 rooms set on it, no matter what I do the average volume of all 3 of the rooms has to be at 50%. I can't do anything to change it. All are Sonos Connects. So there are times when I have to have one room that's super loud just so I can have the other rooms somewhat quiet. I;ve searched the internet, forums, whatever you can think of and I haven't found any solutions to this issue. It does it whether I'm using an iPhone, Android, or the Windows Controller. All the rooms we have are set to Variable. And yes, it shows individual volume sliders, but the group volume has to average to be 50%, so if I change one very low, the other 2 rooms will get louder so the group stays at 50% I have submitted diagnostics and the number is 8170900.

I have created many playlists in the music library. But I cannot change song order within a playlist. When I click a song and try to move it, it just moves back. Any ideas?

Hi, just got my Amp up and running and it's working but no sound from my sub. Any ideas what I may have done wrong? Needless to say the sub is plugged in, switched on and hooked up to the subwoofer port on the Amp. Thanks!

I have a play 5 already and wondered, if i purchased two Sonos Ones, could i use that set up for surround sound? I am new to all this pairing and grouping and dont know how the surround sound set up works. Also, how easy is it to move the sonos ones around i.e. sometimes they'd be used as surround sound and sometimes theyd be grouped or set up in different rooms each playing individual music. I'm after flexibility really without having to pay a fortune! Thanks for any help.

Hi, Am about to buy a sonos system with 3 components throughout the house. I’d like for the system to improve the tv sound, and be able to connect by cable to our existing stereo. I’m hoping that doesn’t require buying both a Playbase and a Connect? My question is- can a playbase be used interchangeably to play sound off the TV and a stereo, when the cable is moved between the devices? I know moving the cable back and forth would be a bit inconvenient, but the stereo use would be infrequent (to be able to play CDs without having to go though uploading them as don’t currently have computer). Both the tv and stereo have the same input jack (on stereo it says ‘Digital Optical’ and on the TV ‘Digital Audio’ but I understand they are the same as TV manual says the TV does Digital Optical, and they look the same). So I’m hoping the system could be- 1 Playbase and 2 Play1s Or does it sound like I’d need- 1 Playbase, 1 Connect and 1 Play1? Many thanks, Nerys

We got two Sonos play:1 for Christmas. I loaded the Sonos app on my iPad and my fiancé’s iphone. After playing with it for a few minutes I had two different songs playing at the sane time in different rooms. That was the desired outcome but as soon as one of us changed the song both speakers automatically started playing the same song and I have not been able to make each speaker play independent of each other since. Can anyone help me figure out what I’m doing wrong?

Apologies if I've missed something and it can be done, but I've not seen it in any instructions. i.e. can you pre-setup one or more songs while a song is already playing? Would be really useful, otherwise if you're browsing random songs (not a playlist), then it means you have to be around and ready when a song finishes to set up the next one - and there will always be a gap between songs. I have had Sonos for years and on the odd occasion I have had a problem with the system Sonos support has been superb. I have just tried to carry out a system update on a mac (rather then a windows based laptop which is the usual route) and the update gets so far and asks for a password ( not when I use the windows laptop) I get a box with a padlock pictured, it shows my user name and asks for a password. I don't remember setting up a password?? is there a standard password? I tried "admin" and it doesn't want to know. Has any body got any ideas please? Kind regards Greg

So many of us want to use our Sonos system alongside all our media, not just streaming music. I have understood with research that there is a lag/delay with the sound when pictures too. This could be fixed with a plug-in for a browser or OS, which has calibrated the audio lag, so that we can watch Netflix or any other non streaming audio media. I am tempted to return the 2 Play:3's I bought because of this, and I'm sure I am not alone in this frustration. Having spoken to a Sonos Expert on the chat menu, she told me that this "might" be addressed in the future, and that the best thing to do is to leave a message on here. If this were to be solved, I as well as others would likely buy additional Sonos products. I honestly love the Play 3 as a product, makes great sound and great/simple interface, having had an Airport Extreme which had at least a headphone jack for streaming over 10 years ago, I'm surprised that it hasn't been part of the Sonos design.

I have 3 Sonos speakers in my living room/kitchen/dining room area that I always group. I had them grouped from the Sonos app when I tried out the mute/unmute Alexa commands. The command worked on only one of the speakers. How can I get commands to apply to the entire group?

I just got Sonos One and already had an account with Amazon Music Unlimited. Whenever I try to stream different songs to different rooms, Sonos One Alexa says it can only stream to one room. What gives?

Hi All, New to the forum, so nice to meet you all! We just finished some construction works to our house and I would like to get some Sonos stuff in the new kitchen, living area and outdoors. I asked my electrician to foresee audio cable in all zones as we were going to use in-ceiling speakers. He did this, but now that all works are finished, I noticed, he only gave me 1 'end point' per zone, meaning he has foreseen wires from speaker 1 to speaker 2 to speaker 3 to speaker 4 in zone 1. Did the same in zone 2 for the 2 speakers over there and did the same in zone 3 for the 2 outdoor speakers. This makes think a bit on how my ideal setup could work. Initially I was thinking to buy 3 connect amp devices to create the 3 zones, but it appears I don't have a 'left' and 'right' per zone as foreseen on the connect amp, so am I wondering if I would really need 3 connect amp's or if that setup even won't work at all?
