Seems like the last album I asked Alexa to play will occasionally start playing through the speakers it was last playing or grouped to. Last night at about 3am after falling asleep downstairs, the living room Sonos starts blaring Tom Petty in concert. Kind of groggy I search my memory for how to turn it off thru Alexa, only to find out it was also blaring outside on the patio. Again, I told Alexa to turn off the patio speakers. This morning my wife told me as I got out of the shower, "why is Tom Petty playing outside on the patio". Apparently It started up again. Another problem I've been having is the music volume of selections I have asked Alexa to play through Sonos speakers turns way down, then back to it's normal volume, several times while playing. Not all the time, just occasionally. I realize we are on version 1.0 and I'm delighted with the work that's being done. Just reporting some bugs.

Hi - now that Airplay 2 is out in the wild, presumably it means we can use a Sonos One as a desktop computer speaker, and therefore use it for Skype, iTunes and everything else. Does anyone have experience with this yet, and can report on how they have found it?

Is there anyway to make the dialogue louder in my TV? The background sound is booming but we really have to turn it up to hear the dialogue. We have a play bar and sub and two play:1s for surround. Thank you.

I think the answer is yes, but was hoping to see if someone confirms. I currently have a 5.1 setup with a Sonos Playbar, Sub and two Sonos Play 1 speakers. If I replace my Sonos Playbar with a Playbase I will be able to use Airplay2 with my 5.1 set up, correct?

The TV is recognising the device and Sonos support confirm that the Beam is sending packets to the TV, but nothing is coming back. LG support are sending out a tech to assess. The HDMI ARC port (#2) works as an input fine. This is the first time I have connected an ARC device to it (i.e. I am asking the TV HDMI port to output). I've played with all the limited settings I can access (PCM/Auto) and SIMPLINK) to no avail. I'm happily using the optical adapter for now though am keen to get this sorted to gain the additional functionality. Could just be a fault on my TV (or a service setting change required). Has anyone had a similar experience? Very impressed with sound quality on the Beam and it can handle something that I found the Playbar could not - playing music in full mode from the Sonos Connect in uncompressed mode I am not getting any drop outs - :)

How can I add a track to a Google Music playlist while in the Sonos app? We'd like to switch from Spotify and you can to a Spotify playlist from within the Sonos app. Thanks. Steve

I have recently purchased the CONNECT:AMP and this might sound like a daft question, but I want to know what I can use the Ethernet ports on the back of the CONNECT:AMP for? The obvious answer would be to connect it to the wireless router, but I wondered if you can do more with the Ethernet ports, and why Two ports specifically? I have looked online and also through the little booklet that came with the system to get a better idea of how I can connect it up, but it doesn't really explain fully, I've tried connecting it to my Apple TV, but it doesn't seem to work. Hi I have a Sonos Play 3 and would like to add another device, I was thinking of buying a Play 1 (to save money :-) BUT DOES IT MAKE SENSE ? Or it’s a stupid thing to do ?

Hi I have my new Beam and it's great, except.... It doesn't show up as a device in the Harmony hub app. I have a variety of other Sonos devices which do show up. I have renamed one of the previous devices since adding the Beam. The rename shows up but not the new Beam. Does this just need an update from Logitech? Cheers

Hi, This morning the music I played on my Play 5:2 stopped. Speaker showed solid orange. Impossible to re-pair. So I reset it. It shows blinking green, speaker shows (with MAC) during the pairing process. However instead of turning white, turns blinking orange, then solid orange. After 10mn, solid orange switches to blinking green so I can try to pair again without resetting. However it would fail again with similar symptoms. Tried resetting router, same behavior. Diagnostics: 105485419 Can you help me? Note that I am on the beta channel...

My beam is connected through HDMI/ARC and Alexa will control TV volume but won't recognize the TV when I ask it to turn off and on the TV. Anyone else have this issue?

LG magic remote does not control sound from my Sonos PLAYBAR. I have followed the instructions to configure PLAYBAR and the remote and also disabled simplex. The sonos app says that the remote is configured to work with the PLAYBAR and I have sound but I cannot increase or decrease volume. any suggestions please ?

How can I reset my Sonos player and start again?

A bit disappointed. I had an Amazon Fire TV Cube for my new TCL Roku TV and it worked great. It especially could turn the TV on and off via command. However, I did not like the audio on the TV so I thought I'd move the cube to another TV and get the Beam for this TV. I'm using just a plain Amazon Fire TV with the TV. The Beam definitely has better sound, but I can no longer turn the TV on or off. First, yes I have the CEC settings correct. I have connected the Beam to my Alexa account, and set it up as the device to control my Amazon Fire TV. I can search and pull up a movie and control playback. My Bean is attached to the ARC HDMI input. But I cannot turn the TV on or off. This is an issue because the Beam is so large, it covers the TV's remote signal detector and I have to stand up to be able to get the signal through to turn the TV on or off. I've seen other people have problems with turning tvs on or off, but I haven't seen any solution. Is this just not

Both Sonos One and Echo Dot cannot play music via Sonos speakers. All is set-up correctly, speakers were found by Alexa Sonos skill and named Kitchen and Living. However, when I ask Alexa to play any music in Kitchen or in Living, she replies that she cannot find a device that is able to play music... the funny thing is: it does work occasionally, but fully at random it seems. Maybe once in 30 times or so. I have tried all kinds of resets, new installations, renaming speakers, re-enabling skills etc. Nothing seems to solve the issue. I first thought it might be the Sonos One that was the issue, but then I also got a Dot and that gave the same result. Who knows what this might be?

Hi. I wonder if there is a good source of information that explains what functionality will be compatible with older Sonos systems? For example - will I be able to link a Sonos One or a Sonos Beam with older ZP120 and ZP55 players and what functionality will work and what will not. I have searched the web for an answer and was not able to find anything consistent. Will appreciate some help. Apologies if this topic has been discussed before. Many thanks. :$

If I disable Alea or turn off the microphone, can I still use Airplay to play songs from my iphone? I have 5 play:1s and one play:3, but I want to use airplay and then would need a Play One. Don't care for stray microphones in the house. Yep, I like to be in control of things in my house. Call me nuts.

When trying to play Amazon music on Sonos using Alexa (dot or show ) to start. It plays one song then stops. I start with Alexa play 80's music on the porch. This happens on all the Sonos units. In addition when I start Sonos music via the phone app regardless of the service I am unable to stop it using Alex. This used to work, what's up? I just recently added an Amazon show

I just bought a brand new LG TV which only came with one RF remote. I am unable to get the remote to control the volume on my playbar. I see people have had similar problems with Samsung? Is there a solution out there or are Sonos proposing a fix? It is a pain in the proverbial to have to use my phone for volume control and the remote for everything else. I have a fair few dollars invested in Sonos gear and it does not please me that it can’t cope with this simple technology.

Doing 1st time setup when pairing the comcast x1 remote to the playbar the setup process goes through without a problem but when testing after completing setup the volume down and mute buttons increase the volume don't do what they're intended for. Have removed the remote and learned it in multiple times and it always has the same result. Thanks

Having installed the most recent update on Sonos (couldn't use it without doing the update) I now get a flashing orange light and am unable to use the player. Any thoughts. Am connected via ethernet but have tried wirelessly as well.

Can you hard wire one sonos (like connect) and use the other port to feed another Sonos Amp and do the same to feed a Yamaha receiver...( all hard wire)

Just ordered a Beam for use with my Sony Bravia TV which has an HDMI-ARC port on HDM 1, I believe I connect the Beam to HDMI-ARC (1) and the V6 cable box to HDMI 2. If this is correct I assume I then select HDMI 2 to watch programmes via the V6 box and the sound will come from the Beam as long as I have enabled CEC on the TV? Can some kind soul confirm I have this right please. I assume if I want to use the Beam as a music source without the TV I just operate it via the App without needing the TV switched on? My apologies if these are simplistic questions.
