I was trying to help a friend set her Sonos up on Android devises. Somehow, I managed to get 2 of her Sonos Play 1's listed on my iPhone. In addition, my email address is showing up on her devises as her registered Sonos email address. How can I get her products off of my iPhone (her Play 1's are not showing up on any of my other devises) and my email address out of her Sonos app?

I note a number of forums about the failure of Sony Blu-ray players converting DTS to DD5.1 over HDMI but wondered if anyone had successfully managed the conversion using a coaxial cable that inputs into a Toslink converter? I have a Sony BDP-s6500 and any input would be helpful before I waste any money on a digital coax to optical converter and coaxial cable. I currently have a Bose Lifestyle 48 system, but want to slowly convert to SONOS. My current system (Bose) has 4 cubes, 1 center speaker, and 1 sub (all connected to the bose lifestyle 48) I am also using a LG OLED e7p 65" tv (if that matters) 1) I am wondering if I could possibly start with a SONOS Playbar and connect it to work with my current surround sound system? 2) In your honest opinion, for a large theater room, is the current Sonos home theater suggested set up (2 play 1's/3's, a sub, and a playbar) able to handle high quality surround sound for large rooms? If not, would it be possible/better to connect 4 play:1's/3's (two of which in the back), a playbar, and a sub? Or is sonos even up to the task of providing surround sound for such a large room? I understand some people will say "Go do research". I have done research, but find conflicting answers and would prefer honest answers from people who actually know about the products [color=green][u][b]Thanks for any

Hello Got myself an echo dot to make life easy to play music on my sonos for things like when I’m cooking and can’t use my hands to control using the phone. I’ve not been overjoyed to say the least!! I’ve looked at the video on how to connect and even tried the command it says on the video ‘ Alexa play jazz in the kitchen’ it responds with’ no music found’ Can’t get anything to play....I know that we are still waiting for Spotify. But I thought I could get at least the tunein app to play something???

I run some Devialet Phantoms and the Devialet wireless remote control is just wonderful - silky smooth, artistic object on the desk. Granted those are in a different price class and I don't expect Sonos to have something like that but is there a way that I can control the volume from my desk with a dedicated remote control? If yes, how? Thanks.

Does the in-App volume control work on the Connect's digital outputs? I want to connect the Connect's digital output directly to a pair of power amps via a 3rd party DAC which has no analogue volume control.

I bought a Play:5 several years ago and wanted to create a stereo pair, so I just bought a 2nd Play:5, not knowing my first 5 was a gen 1 and the newest 5 was gen 2 and apparently you cannot pair them. Is there any way around this? Very disappointed. May end up returning the newest PLAY:5 if there is no solution.

When I ask Alexa to play something on Spotify, "Alexa, play Purple Rain on Spotify", the command is recognized, but then Alexa says you need to link your Spotify account to Alexa. When I try to link my Spotify account in Alexa/Music,Video, and Books, the app says App Support Unavailable. What am I doing wrong here?

Bottom line: is it possible to have two, or more, controllers controlling different rooms at the same time on the same WiFi network? ie: I control all rooms except “daughter.” Daughter has control of her own room with her phone but also has the ability to control all other rooms as well. Hi i have many sonos devises and have had them for many years, my wife has just got me a sonos 1 with Alexa but i am told it does not work yet with Napster. As my first sonos came with a Napster free trial, i was wondering why Sonos has not yet made a software fix for this. This now means to use my sonos 1 and Alexa to play music i need to spend more money and sign up to another music provider, and i am not happy about this.

Is it possible to have different Alexa account users to connect to Sonos. I have an existing Sonos system (4 speakers) configured against my Sonos account .. My wife wants to setup various Alexa skills which are different than the ones I want to use. Is this possible

If I have just a Sonos One, can I use that to develop new alexa skills of my own, or do I need an official Amazon device to do it? I signed into the alexa portal and was given options to register an Echo, Dot etc. but nothing about the Sonos. Anyone any ideas?

Hi, I've tried out PLAYBAR, 2x Play:1 and SUB. But I'm not convinced, especially when it comes to use the system for music listening. I miss the "solid dynamic sound" from the PLAYBAR as you get in a Play:5. I love the SUB though, it's amazing. However, I've been thinking about a solution like this: - 2x Play:5 as front speakers. -1x Play:3/Play:5 as center speaker. - 2× Play:1 as rear speakers. - 1x SUB My question is, does Sonos support this set up for 5.1 surround? If, do I need to add any extra components?

Hi There, I've been going through similar topics here on the forums for a while now and am still unable to get any audio through my sonos from the TV. The TV is a LG 55B7 55" OLED. I have a Playbase connected to two Play:1 speakers. The red light in the optical input on the playbase is glowing, the cable from the TV to the playbase is also glowing red. There doesn't appear to be any other troubleshooting steps I can take at this time. The playbase/play:1 setup was working fine with my previous TV and the RCA cable connections. I can't seem to get the Line-in to recognize that there is signal coming in. It just tells me "To use Line-in, connect a device to a Line-in capable Sonos player."

Dear Sonos, I have bought 2x play 1 for in the living room. I want connect the speakers to my Samsung smart tv, is this possible? As I just graduated I am obviously not going to spend a lot of money to buy another Sonos system. If there is no other way, I suggest you figure something out to connect the sonos play 1 to the tv, otherwhise you will lose another customer. To be honest, I can think of a billion ways to make it work. Best regards, Bram

Hey guys, I feel dumb for not being able to figure this out, but I'm looking for some help in getting the most out of my 5.1 setup with my Xbox. I've read as many posts as I can but some are quite old and a lot of the links given by Sonos Support are broken. When I go into the Xbox audio settings I have the option for 5.1 but it comes back with an error. I have my Playbar connected to my Samsung TV (2yrs old), along with a Sub and two Play 1's. When I go into the Controller it says that the player is outputting in stereo. I've read that some people are using switches to connect their Xbox directly to their TV but it seem like it should be more simple than that given everything is fairly new. Any thoughts on the settings to get surround going? Thanks in advance!

I have 2 Play:1 speakers and have attempted to setup each one using my iPhone X & MacBook Pro. I've been completely unsuccessful due to the "Version Unconfirmed" error each time (as in each Play:1 and trying with iOS & MacOS). This couldn't be more frustrating and disappointing as someone who's very experienced in tech, but new to Sonos.

Am trying to add the Sonos skill to the Amazon Alexa App on my iPhone but when I link the account and get the @Sign into Sonos using your Amazon Account" screen it is not recognising my Amazon password (which I know is correct). Also getting the same behaviour on my iMac using the Amazon Alexa App online. Have tried to reset my Amazon account password but still not working. Anyone any ideas?
