I bought a Pioneer VSX-LX103 today and and am trying to get it to work with my SONOS ZP80 (which I believe is the old version of the SONOS Connect). The LX103 is listed as being supported by "Works with SONOS" http://sonos.pioneerhomeusa.com. I get it home from Best Buy, install the latest firmware on the receiver and then follow the instructions here - http://sonos.pioneerhomeusa.com/assets/PioneerElite+Sonos-01.mp4 I get to the step to select the Connected Device under Hardware > Works with SONOS but the ZP80 is not found. I've tried everything, connecting to different RCA inputs (everything except Phono because the video says that doesn't work) but all to no avail. The ZP80 is on the same wifi network as the receiver and I've updated my SONOS system today. Really frustrated as this was one of the major drivers for me buying the Pioneer in the first place. It could be that the ZP80 isn't compatible with the "Works with SONOS" feature, but I can't afford to get a newer Connect o

Hi, I am new to the Sonos app. How do I shuffle all songs from all albums? Right now I only have an amazon account and I added all of my albums to "my Sonos", but I can only shuffle 1 album or multiple albums from 1 artist. I've searched this forum and a number of people mentioned adding albums to a queue, but I can't figure that out either. When I play one album it queue's those songs. If I start to play another album it queue's those songs, but does not remember the previous queue'd songs. I also don't want to have to individually add every album to a queue. Is there an easy way to just shuffle all of the songs in my Sonos library?

I have now noticed that there is the option to disable WiFi under room settings for each device. Was this recently added through an update? Does anyone know if this permanently disables the WiFi or does it need to be disabled every time there is a new update? I have 2 connects, one connect:amp, and 1 play:1

I'm not an audiophile, but really like the end-user simplicity of setting up and using the Sonos product line. I would really like to roll Sonos speakers out to all of the rooms in the house, garage, and even in the yard. The current line of products are nice, but most cannot be "hidden" away as a ceiling or landscape speaker can. Are there any plans to release a line of ceiling or landscape speakers?

I am trying to help my father-in-law set up a system for his living room. He is very hard of hearing and has trouble watching tv because he can't understand what people are saying. I am thinking a Sonos system with surround speakers might work for him. I wonder whether the Playbar or the Beam would be better for this application. His living room is not large and I think the Beam has a lot of features he would really like. I would choose it without hesitation if his hearing weren't an issue. The other option I'm thinking of but haven't yet looked into is if there would be a wireless headset available that he could use in conjunction with the Sonos system for watching tv. His wife would enjoy it if he didn't have to turn the whole system up really loud. Thoughts?

This appears to be a repeated problem based on all the new complaints. It will be difficult to wire the base separately due to distance from the router. Is there another way to check?

Hi All, I'm considering switching from my Samsung HW-K550 to the new Sonos Beam. I have some questions before I do though - please feel free to answer any as appropriate! Thanks in advance! 1. My HW-K550 came complete with a wireless sub... will I miss not having one with the Sonos? I live in a terraced house so I do have the bass turned down quite low most of the time anyway! 2. I have listened to the 'Beam' in Currys and it sounds pretty good (I always think it is pretty difficult to judge when stood in a big shop though). Next to the 'PlayBar' the Beam does sound kind of muffled which raises some concerns about speech clarity (the Playbar sounded a lot 'crisper' to me). How have people found this? If anything, the Beam sounded much 'deeper' and 'bassier' than the PlayBar... but I've read the opposite online. Voice clarity is perhaps the most important thing to me. 3. With the above question in mind, would I perhaps be better off buying a second hand PlayBar for the same

Is SONOS considering creating any outdoor waterproof speakers in the near future? It seems crazy not to have them so you can use the SONOS system indoors as well as outside!

Set up system in a business and trying to find a way to limit users. System has been working great for several months. Now the volume changes and stations change. I know Sonos doesnt have any passwords. Looking for way to limit users, maybe by adding router or other device.

Hey guys, I've had a 5.1system with sound bar now for a few years and not pressed with the sound bar for music. Any reason I can't create another room and add two more play1’s to the front in stereo mode? Assuming it won't work for HT but at least I'll get fuller sound from the front with music. Thx

Hi, I am very interested by the Beam. The only issue is that I won't have enough space in front of my TV stand given the size of my TV desk. I wonder if I could put it on top of this stand, even if this stand is smaller than the Beam ? I am afraid of vibration, etc. My TV is a Sony KDL-46W5500, pictures enclosed. The TV stand is 47 cm wide vs 65 cm for the Beam. Thank you for your help! Best

Sorry if this has been answered already. I am trying to clarify how airplay 2 volume control works with grouped sonos devices. More specifically: I am thinking of re acquiring a sonos connect after selling mine a while back. I understand that if I group the connect with an airplay 2 enabled Sonos One, I can then use my iphone to airplay music directly to this group. My question is: If I want to control this grouping outside the sonos app, will I be able to use my iphone (through apple music) to control volume separately for the sonos connect and sonos one? or will the particular grouping (Sonos connect + Sonos One) show up as a single volume slider hence not allowing for separate volume control for each device? Two of the play 1 and the play 3 we have cannot be found after recent app update. I do not see under the manage tab, where you use to be able to add a play or sub. The 13 other play 1 are working.

On the following page (https://support.sonos.com/s/article/1230?language=en), it says this new feature works with Beam, One, Playbase, and Play 5. Then, it says: You can also group [i]any other Sonos speaker [/i]with an AirPlay 2 compatible Sonos speaker for multi-room playback. If that’s the case, then a Play 1 would receive the sound when it’s networked with a compatible speaker. Given that, I just don’t understand why the Play 1 doesn’t work by itself alone with AirPlay when it’s just a firmware update. I received that update, so why not use it on all speakers? Hi, I have a Sonos One device (my one and only device) showing as "kitchen" on the Alexa app and and I am unable to save its location. I live in Montreal, Canada. Did not have problems saving the location for the Sonos One but unable to save for the "kitchen" which is the same unit...?? Why is that. I can ask Alexa "Where am I?" and she knows exactly where I am, but yet she cannot give me the weather because she doesn't know where I am... makes no sense. Tried many uninstall, remove device, detect device... no change every time. Very frustrating, spent many hours trying to resolve the problem, no luck still. Thanks for all the help !

Hi guys hoping for some help, not an audiophile by any stretch so go easy on me, laymans terms please. Got and oldy but goody set up in the flat, projector (Infocus IN1144) VGA to laptop (Toshiba satellite C850) with AUX from laptop to old speaker, which just kicked the bucket( not so much of a goody)... have a few play1s in other rooms so thought I'd get a beam and have some fun. Unfortunately I read HDMI connection not HDMI arc (wtf the difference is, though arc was worse!) and now having allsorts of issues. Currently, Beam won't detect laptop when HDMI directly in (assuming not HDMI arc compatable) but Beam will find projector when HDMI'd in. But, with beam on HDMI for sound you can't get image from laptop over VGA... suggestions please. I was going to pick up 2 to 1 HDMI adapter for the back of the project for both Beam and Laptop to attach but this would just be trial and error. If someone can confirm this would work or has a sure thing set up it would be greatly ap

Hi, I watched the Youtube video explaining the steps to setup a Connect with an Elite compatible receivers. I understand in the steps that you have to select the Elite zones you want the music (main - zone2 - zone3) QUESTION: If i need main and zone2, will it show in the Sonos app as two different zones that i could power on independently, like if i had two Play Ones? I don't need to play different music because it is an open erea but i want to be sure that i can select the main or the zone2 or both (group) exactly the same way it already works with Sonos gears. Want to avoid using Pioneer app to power on zones. Thanks,

Sonos is my "whole-house" music system. I also use Amazon music as my source for most music. I would like an option to have all sound and music that comes via Alexa to be played through Sonos by default - so that I don't have to call out the room ID every time. Is something like this in the works between Sonos and Amazon?

I have a Sonos Bridge and play 5 since 2014 and I'm no longer able to use them since on all my devices I get 'The software on this device is outdated.... ' I tried to update the controller via the PC and now the bridge and play 5 are at version 9.2 but still not able to connect with any of my android devices. How do I get it back working and use what I have paid for even if it means using the previous software as it was working just fine for me and I had no issue until this upgrade was forced.
