I just purchased two sonos ONEs and hooked them up. Previously, I had a PLAY:3 directly connected to my router in a closet because I couldn't get the speakers to work otherwise. Music played fine. But, I was told I don't need to bridge to a SONOS component directly attached to a router and that the new speakers and software should just be able to use my WiFi. So, I unplugged the speaker in the closet and after a few minutes none of the speakers works.
If I have to buy a bridge to put in the closet, that is one solution, but I wasn't under the impression it should be necessary. I tried to restart a speaker and to restar the app but my efforts are not yielding any result unless I plug the speaker in the closet back in. But, this is a waste of a speaker just to establish a network.
thanks
Eric
