Can't find the command to play a favourite ...

Hi SONOS-Team, currently having problems with Alexa/SONOS in combination with Philips HUE. Both Systems use same commands in Germany ("Alexa, lower volume in living room" => "Alexa, Wohnzimmer leiser") is dimming the HUE lights instead of lowering the volume ;-)

When will Sonos integrate with Alexa? I see all of this information about the Sonos One, which sounds really cool, but from my reading if you already have an Echo or Echo Dot, you will be able to use that as controller as well - correct? I currently have several Sonos Connects in a central closet connected to in-ceiling speakers in all the main rooms of our house. Will I ever be able to use Alexa to say "Play X in the kitchen" and have the Sonos play from the in-ceiling speakers or no? Thanks!

Hi all, I have 2 Sonos Play:3 devices in my house and one Echo Dot. I would like to see that the voice interaction that I have with Alexa is fed back via the Sonos Play speaker(s). Is this something that is possible or will that still go via the 'less nice' Dot speaker? Or do I have to buy a different Alexa powered device? Thanks Bjorn

I've noticed when playing Alexa content through Sonos that I can press "exit alexa" on the sonos app but how can I get back to the music queue using voice commands? It would also be helpful if in the future, it would resume the queue from where it was and not go all the way back to the top. Is there a full list of voice commands supported?

Correction to a previous topic. My SONOS 1 stopped working and it could update the software via WIFI. Finally I connected to Ethernet cable and I updated the software and started to work normally. What can I do to make the SONOS 1 work with WIFI again?

Hi. I use Sonosnet throughout my big old house to provide WiFi to all my android devices. It's brilliant and is fast and solid as a rock. I bought an Alexa echo dot. It's sat next to my kitchen play five. My Google pixel phone can see the Alexa and control my Sonos, and access the internet through Sonosnet WiFi. But Alexa will not see the Sonosnet....just the really week signal from my distant router. Any thoughts on how to get Alexa echo dot to connect to Sonosnet WiFi? Thanks

I'm in the beta program, inside the Sonos app on Android tablet. Check for updates, update available, click on Update Now. This opens the Google Play Store, NOT the Sonos beta site, to the already-installed current Sonos app. WTF? Why is this not opening to the Sonos beta site, like it used to do? I want tk test Alexa integration, how is it possible to get the public beta?

I have seen many news articles that mention that the Sonos announcement is today but none of them mention a time. Is this something we can watch like Apple or Google events?

I am planning on using a Sonos System in our new house and had been planning on using a playbar sitting on our mantle with a TV above. I am now wondering if I could use a playbase off to the sides in the bottom bookshelf, perhaps the white one and it could kind of blend in. I just bought a new Samsung Tv 65Q7F. Connected everything through the one connect box. As the sonos play bar is below the TV and all the stuff including the one connect is in cupboard few feet away concealed away. So I connected the optical cable from the one connect to the Sonos hub and chose the option of optical output from the tv and sky, but there seems to be no sound coming. The seems fine if I select tv speaker output. Please help.

Hi all, i damaged the front grille of my play 5. Is there a chance of a replacement part? The damage is a pea sized dent smack bang in the centre of the grille. Once you see it, you can't stop noticing it! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just set up a Playbase with my Samsung Smart T.V. It sounds awesome but when I use the T.V. remote to increase/decrease volume I get an annoying message saying "Your T.V. is set to use external speakers. Adjust the volume on the connected speakers directly." There is a topic on the Sonos FAQ section of the support page but this leads me nowhere. Any ideas out there please?

I have a large Sonos network and want to Permanently Group the Master Bedroom (1 - Sonos 5) and Master Bathroom (2 - Sonos 1) so that they always play the same all of the time. I know I can Group them together. However, when I group the whole house (15 speakers) and later ungroup the whole house, it requires that I go through a bunch of extra steps just to recombine those two rooms. I just want to make sure they stay together all of the time - (Why is this so hard?)

I have An existing Amp and speakers (2X100watts, 12x40watts). I am considering using one of the Sonos Connect audio output to connect the old amp with some of the speakers(E.g the 2X100watts & 5X40watts) and connect the remaining 5x40watts speakers in parallel to the second Sonos connect output. Hi everyone, I have a SONOS PLAY:1 with some issues playing. We only ever use the radio on it and have it plugged in at the wall and it normally works every morning when I press the play button - straight to the radio show we always listen to. But over the last few days when I press the 'play' button on top of the speaker it doesn't work and a red light flashes instead. Any help would be much appreciated!! Best, C

Does the Sub need any maintenance in terms of ridding it of accumulated dust where visible? I have mine under a cloth cover that is effective but over the years, dust penetrates. I am a little reluctant to use a brush because I don't know how robust/delicate the two driver cones and surrounds are, hence the question.

Hi, I have various Sonos speakers including Play 1's, Play 3's, Sub and Play Bar (I do not have any Play 5's, Connect or Connect Amp). Will I be able to connect an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot to my existing set up when this functionality goes live, or do I need to purchase new speakers when/if Sonos release speakers with microphones built in? I just saw an "Update" symbol in my controller which was running 7.4.1. This version fixed a DD5.1 drop out issue. So I ran the new upgrade and now I see the controller version has changed back to 7.4. Does this mean I'm going to have DD5.1 issues again and have to run only PCM?

Hello all, I have a home Sonos environment with multiple Play 1s, a Play 3 and a connect. I'm looking to reduce radio frequency emissions in my home and would like to know if I connect all of my speakers via Ethernet cables through a switch to the router if I can get all of them to communicate via Ethernet ONLY. I understand I will still need the router to broadcast Wifi so I can use my phone to control the speakers. I have already hard wired one of the speakers and verified it is communicating via Ethernet- I even submitted a diagnostic and verified it is working through the Ethernet port... however I have a RF/EMF meter and also verified that it is still emitting the exact same wireless transmissions as when it was only on Wifi- so hooking it up via cable does not disable wifi or stop the speaker from trying to communicate over Wifi. Can anyone help me figure out how to completely disable wifi? Is it possible? I get that was not the gameplan for typical Sonos setups but re

I got my 2 Play1's and they're awesome .   I read some of the threads on what stand to get and it seemed that the Omnimount Gemini 1 was one way to go ... Well , I got them ...and they're NOT the way to go .... they definitely work but the things are so flimsy that it would seem a mild breeze would blow them over.  In addition to that, there is no way to hide the cables so I'm thinking of just trashing these things and starting over.   Has anyone found a stand that they are really happy with? ?

Are Sanus and Flexson the two best options for speaker stands? I'd only need one (white) to use in a side room on the side of a couch to stream music. Thoughts? Thanks everyone in advance!

After the latest Android update on my Galaxy S7 (Nougat), the ability to access volume directly from the notification area is no longer available. I've attached screenshots showing what the notification area looked like before and after the update. Note that in the old screenshot, the volume icon is in the notification area. From there it's a quick click to adjust the volume. After the update, the volume icon is no longer there. You have to click to load up the full app, which takes a couple seconds, and then access the volume. It may not seem like a big deal but when one song is much louder than the last one, the sooner you can adjust the volume, the better. I do have the "Allow Volume Control on Home Screen" option checked but that isn't directly relevant and doesn't help. Is there any way to get the volume icon back in the notification area?
