I am unable to download update - continue to get error code 1101. I have rebooted my router and my Sonos. I've deleted and reinstalled the app on each devise. Any assistance is appreciated

Hi. So the new house build is nearly complete and I'm about to take the plunge. I've had wired 5.1 separates in the past, but this my first foray into Sonos. Having read up, Googled and read previous threads here, I'm still a little unsure of which to get - PlayBase or PlayBar. Removing the obvious decider from the equation, wall mount or bench top, as I can have either arrangement, for those who have tried both, which delivered the better sound? I'll be buying the Sub and two Ones to use as rear surrounds at the same time. The deeper and richer the bass and mids, the better as far as I'm concerned. Looking at the overall footprint and mass of the PlayBase, everything's making me lean in that direction rather than the Bar. We only use the following input/ouput which helps narrow things down possibly: We have a Sony 4k TV and using the internal Android, we use the built in Netflix and Prime Video Apps. We have Sky Q connected via HDMI to the TV. Music is only played

I have a Sonos One which was working perfectly with Amazon music (Prime) and Tune In Radio via Alexa until the 8.6 update. Now it will not play Amazon Music. For example, if I say 'Play rock' its says 'No rock music found', but I can use the Android app and chose Amazon music and it works fine - the same command works fine on my Echo Dot. If Is say 'Play Radio 2' it now longer says it is playing it from Tune In, it says 'playing Radio 2' but there is no sound. When I ask for my daily briefing it starts playing the briefing at a lower voulme before it finishes saying the words 'Playing your daily briefing' How can I fix this? thanks

WiFi keeps cutting out - looking for way to plug it out into the speaker is there an adapter or some other way to connect it.

My father is ageing and as such, losing is having trouble with hearing dialogue on TV. If he has the volume at the level he can hear, it is too loud for my mother. Can Sonos be configured so he has, say a playbar and a second speaker that mirrors the playbar sound he can have by his chair? At present he has a Bose system, but as a 5.1 system, the rear speakers are used for surround sound and do not contain all sound elements he needs. Secondly, I would ask if it is easy to have the sound controlled through a generic remote - he would struggle using his iPhone or iPad to get his sound up and running. Hope someone can help, the stores I have been to have zero idea for a solution - I would not have thought we are pioneers here... Thank in advance.

Sorry, been using Sonos for several years now but cannot get on with new App design (iPhone/iPad/Sonos v8.6), can someone remind me how to get to the speaker EQ settings in this version please?

i have a Playbar hooked up to my Samsung TV with Dish Network. Each day I have to go into to Sonos app, click Browse and then select TV for the volume to be able to play through the Playbar using the Dish remote. I never had to do this before. Although I did have the Playbar connected to a Bridge prior to the Bridge going out. in other words, the volume up and down will not work on the Dish remote until I have selected TV in the Sonos app. if I have people stay at our house that do not have the Sonos app, they will not be able to get sound from the Playbar while using the Dish remote to watch TV. Has anyone experienced this before?

Like many other post I was planning in getting a Playbar but now the Beam complicates my decision. My situation - - planning to spend about $700 - room size medium (to small) 13’x19’ - tv does not have ARC - i’d like to mount on the wall under tv - Alexa already present in the room with Harmony Option 1 - Playbar Option 2 - Beam with two Play Ones I’m just curious on others thoughts. The bells and whistles with the Beam I really can’t use until I get a new tv. But with the room not huge am I better going after the number of speakers vs the fullness of one.

Can someone kindly remind me how to stop Sonosnet from broadcasting its SSID so cell phone wifi and other devices won't see it and try to connect? I did it previously in another location (I have Sonos gear in two houses), but I cannot for the life of me remember how. It’s an age thing.

Have a Sonos One. Seen Sonos One support AP2 in iOS 11.4. Updated both iOS and Sonos app. Initially, Sonos One didn’t appear on the speaker choice in airplay. And then it appeared, I tested with Music and YouTube. Both worked. Then a while later when I wanna play music again, the options shows only iPhone! Anyone has this issue? How can I fix it? To start, my current SONOS kit consists of 2 Sonos Ones, and a Sonos Connect. Our ecosystem consists entirely of Apple products, so Airplay 2 would be desirable. My ideal goal is to use the Sonos Ones as rears in a surround setting without the sub (for now). I may add a woofer in the future. We live in a medium sized condo... I was offered a Sonos Playbar from a friend for the same price as the Beam will cost. (400$). So a great price, and its in perfect shape, as he bought a playbase. My budget is restricted to this 400$ range, and will NOT be purchasing a subwoofer in the short term. Given my desire for Airplay 2, would my only way to get it AND surround is to add a third Sonos One and group it? In this case would you recommend the beam?

Hi I recently purchased a Roland KF-10 piano, which has two phones jacks (3.5mm and 2.5mm) I wonder if I can connect it to Sonos so the sound can roam through the room. I searched in the community, but the Yamaha model has RCA which made the connection to Sonos Connect much easier. I have Soundbar, New Play:5, Play:1 and One. Thanks!

my sonos play bar and surround sound play 3's work perfectly when i play music or apple tv but when on tv nothing comes out of surround sound speakers. all my components are connected into the tv and then the playbar has optical out. so it clearly works as music and apple tv work but normal tv channels only play through the bar. please help

I did update 8.6 and now it says there’s a problem during the update. I’ve tried it again and it continues to give me the same message. I’ve clicked more information and tried all the possible solutions it’s given me. It’s error code 1101

Hi. Bought a Sonos One, set it up and everything worked great. Then my stepdaughter came by and logged on to my system from her app, without me knowing it. She had already set up her app to her fathers Sonos system, which included some Sonos Play:1 speakers. What happened then is that my system suddenly included one of her fathers speakers (room). Today my system started to update the software/firmware, but stopped during the process, and showed the message "Error code 30: Soverom". "Soverom" is one of her fathers speakers, miles away. Any ideas on how I could fix this? Thanks.

Sonos One is not playing certain skills such as Sleep Sounds (and other similar ambient noise skills). You ask it to open this skill and it does nothing. If you give it a further command in the skill it responds saying "you're currently enjoying Sleep Sounds, etc..." so it thinks it's playing it but it's clearly not.

Hello, I am new here so excuse me if I started in the wrong "area". I have the following feature request: Is it possible to create an option to Disable/Enable the buttons on de speakers (selectable to wich speaker) through the Sonos app? Now there is already a similar like the LED light on the speaker wich you can turn off. The reason for this request is I have a small child that is exploring the world :$ She has noticed the buttons and now can turn on the Sonos system and play with the volume. Thanks in advance!! Hey guys, So I'm thinking of getting the Sonos Beam + Sub, connected to my Sony KD49EX9005 via HDMI Arc playing Plex Media Player. But I have some questions on audio streams. Lets say I have a movie that only has DTS HD MA or one of the other unsupported audio formats what will happen? Will Sonos or the TV auto convert into a playable format? Or will it just do whitenoise? My main issue is I kinda need to go wireless, and dont NEED my current 5.1 setup. If I did I'd defo need new speakers which pretty much costs the same and I'm about to move so dont want to run speaker cable everywhere. There are plug sockets around the back if I decided to add 2x Play:1's or so for 5.1 Sonos setup. Thanks
