I am running IOS12.x and the latest Sonos controller update. I have 2 Pairs of Play:1 paired in seperate rooms as a group and one pair in a third room with a sub. AirPlay doesn't see any of it. From what I am reading, I would need ALL these in a single group (except the Sub) to get Airplay to see any of them, or perhaps break them up into single units, losing the L R stereo sound. Is this correct?

This is NOT a Sonos question; but I don't haunt other fora, and there may be some enthusiasts here that have an answer, hence I am seeing if I can get some advice here. I have a NAD amp of 2012 make, that has an amber light when on standby. When the on button is pressed, it takes a few seconds for the amber to turn green, and for the amp to play. All this, in silence. The fault I am seeing now is this: the light turns to green, and after a few seconds reverts to amber, with a very loud pop from the speakers. Obviously, the amp does not play then. Also, sometimes, this does not happen; the amp performs the way it always has. Questions therefore: [list=1] [*]What could be happening? [*]What is the fix? [*]Until the fix is in place, any risk in playing the amp, given that the speakers will pop for every failed attempt? [/list]Thanks for any insights.

Setup the new beam today, no problem getting it working. Problem is with lip sync - I have a Samsung UHD 8000 series with Sky (in the UK). Beam is connected via ARC. Tried adjusting delay via the app and TV and can’t get it to sync, so really frustrating. Any ideas? Didn’t have this problem with the Playbar (connected via optical). Thanks Toby

When I switch to a music service on the Playbar, I noticed it affects the volume range for the TV audio. Going from music to the TV--->the audio seems low. I will raise the volume on the remote to hear the TV. It will be about 70-80 (out of 100) on the screen. It is usually at about 20 for the volume and it is fine. There are times that I noticed I reach the max and barely hear the audio from the TV To get out of this condition, I change the volume to zero on the TV and then do the same on the App. The volume then works properly,

I have a Sonos Play 1 that I bought back in 2013 (along with a Sonoso wireless bridge). I'd like to pair it with a Sonos One (Gen 2) AND I'd like to be able to bluetooth to it. Will this technically work? Where I pair the Gen 2 via bluetooth to my phone and I get stereo sound sound played through both the Sonos Play 1 and the Sonos One (Gen 2)?

I am not sure if this should happen but if i use my iPhone Sonos app to play music I can control that series of tracks with my apple watch. I can change the volume, pause and skip tracks plus i get the track names. I cannot add to the playlist or change the speakers or have access to the library. It does not work with iPads or laptops. It seems that once the iPhone app has been opened then the watch can be used. witch does seem logical. I have an original watch series 0 and an iPhone 5s

Is it possible to pair a sonos sub to a connect amp in the same way when pairing to a playbase?

I expect to have a new Sonos 5.1 system (Beam with Ones) in just a couple days and just planning speaker placement. After browsing these forums for about a week I realize my small livingroom is not the ideal room for surround sound. So I'm here asking for opinions and advice. My livingroom is on the smaller side and my sofa (main listening position) is against the rear wall. So there is not an option to place the Ones behind the couch and to make things worse I am not able to sides either (wall or stand). Well maybe one wall as the couch is in a corner. Seems my only option is mounting on the rear wall. With that in mind how should i go about mounting them. Higher up than normal? Facing toward seating area? Angle down? Up? Facing forward? I tried researching this earlier and frankly there doesn't seem to be A CORRECT answer. I found many different solutions some which completely contradicted each other. I live in Guam, which IS A US TERRITORY. We are governed by all US Federal laws, and residents of Guam are US citizens. When I try to set up Voice support, it tells me "Not available in your country." Really? My country is the US. Mind you, this problem is not unique to Sonos. I recently switched my business to an Office 365 platform, and I kid you not, Microsoft absolutely would not charge me in US dollars. They insisted on charging me Australian dollars, even though we are absolutely part of the US and we use exclusively US dollars as our currency. This should be a REALLY simple problem, Computer People! Set your system to "US Territories = US." Why is that so hard? Google can find my IP address on a map, down to within about 100 meters, so I'm pretty sure they can figure out that I'm in the US.

I have a fairly large open kitchen/living room area and have 2 Sonos Ones set up on opposite sides of the room, paired. It does not seem to allow me to have both of the microphones enabled, so I end up shouting at Alexa from across the room if I happen to be sitting near the one on perma -mute. Is this a deliberate design or is there something wrong with my speaker? If I tap the mute button on it nothing happens

I've recently added a Boost to my system -- is working well but two anomalies which I'm wondering about. http://10.0.0.xxx:1400/support/review works for all components in the system including the Boost except that I cannot get a Network Matrix if the IP address points to the Boost -- I get one everywhere else. http://10.0.0.xxx:1400/advconfig.htm -- works for every component except the Boost - get the too familiar Error 404... Curious - does this indicate an issue or a 'feature'? System has one Play:1, One Connect, Three Connect Amps plus the Boost. The Boost and one Connect Amp are hardwired to ethernet port, and all devices have the Wifi turned on. Thanks for any thoughts...

H there. At the moment I have two play 5s gen 2. I would like a decent home 5.1 surround sysem not only for movies but I find increasingly some of my favourite music is being remastered etc in 5.1 stereo mixes. Should I purchase a soundbar or a beam and use the play 5 as rear speakers or could I get a true 5.1 system for similar money? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, my yamaha speakers are connected to a chromecast audio dongle to cast music across the room. I would like to play the music simultaneously on my sonos beam. I have tried to set up a group speakers in google home but cant include sonos speakers into it, same within sonos app (chromecast speakers not available). Has anyone tried this before? Is it possible to do this setup? Thx

I was really excited to update my Sonos system with Google Assistant. I use both Alexa and Google Assistant for different tasks because they are good a different things. When I updated yesterday, I was really disappointed that I can't run both at the same time. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I indeed have to pick one or the other?

Hello. I am a new poster. I have just bought a SONOS BEAM and SAMSUNG UE55NU7400 TV. I have paired the TV remote to my Beam no problem and it turns the Beam volume up and down easily enough. However - I cannot get it to "wake up" the Beam in the first instance. Thus, I turn the TV on and annoying have to turn the Beam on via my mobile phone before I can then operate it with the TV remote. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Scenario: I have an HDMI cable going from the HDMI ARC Port on my TV to my Sonos Beam to get sound through Sonos from my TV. I also have a record player (built in preamp) connected (with standard red and white RCA cables) to a Sonos Connect so that I can get the sound from the record player through the Sonos speakers. Will the speakers be able to play audio from the TV and the record player (not at the same time of course)? Or do the inputs need to be connected to the same Sonos piece? I have both Alexa and google assistant integrated into my house. I’m disappointed that there doesn’t seem to be a way to set up a stereo pair of Ones with one speaker doing Alexa and the other doing google assistant. It fits with what was described as one assistant per speaker. This would also solve the problem of both speakers in one room going off at the “Alexa” or “hey google” wake work. I currently mute one of the two mics because of this repeatedly happening. Would be nice to be able to use the other speaker with the mic muted for google assistant. Am I missing something?

Can the NEW Sonos AMP drive the KEFR300 120watts at 8ohm speakers? i am curious because the specs say 125 watts per channel at 8 ohm so in theory it could work. I am sure anyone here can let me know if it is a go or no go according to you guys. Its a nice price point for a D-Amp at 125w per channel but i guess that that is Peak levels. In real life this would be something close to 70-90 watts i guess? I understand the R300’s are not easy to drive. looking forward to your opinions on this one. Cheers

I’ve experienced a lot of signal dropout this week. I’ve successfully rebooted the router, one Play3 and soundbar, and updated the app. But one Play 3 is stuck: Play/Pause button flashes green, if I press it I get an alert jingle, then flashing dark amber light, and the system doesn’t recognise the speaker. I’ve tried both rebooting and resetting - what do I try next? Many thanks for any advice

I have connected my play 5 to at-lp60 turntable. It does play but is pretty quiet compared to when I play tracks normally. I’m not saying it is unbearably quiet or unclear, just a bit quiet for my liking. Is is this normal? Any suggestions how to make the audio louder. Sorry for basic terms. I am a novice thanks

What is the watts output on the Sonos Sub?

My apologies if this has already been asked, but I'm having trouble getting sound on a couple of built-in speakers. I have Sonos speakers in most rooms of my house, but my family room and kitchen both have built-in speakers in the ceiling that are powered by a Sonos Amp and Preamp (?) that run through a home theater receiver. For whatever reason, when I am listening to music on Sonos, only two of the four in-ceiling speakers work in the family room. Funny thing is, all four of them work in the kitchen. I tried messing around with a lot of the settings in the app, but couldn't get the speakers to work. Any thoughts?

Hi! Why does the Beam not support LPCM 5.1? I find this very strange because the Beam is a soundbar and does not support the best and most basic codec. Is it a hardware thing or just software? Kind regards/ Mathias
