Hi, so this may have been answered before but I couldn’t find it, so apologies - also, all this codec stuff is confusing as hell.Basically, I have a decent amount of Blu-rays and even some 4K Blu-rays that are encoded in DTS/DTS-HD. I have a Sony UBP-X700 player connected to LG C9 Via HDMI, LG C9 connected to Sonos Arc (+sub+one sl surrounds) via hdmi using eArc connection on the LG.As it stands, the only way to get sound from DTS discs is to set the TV to output PCM and that results in basic 2.0 stereo (annoying). I understand LG C9 has an available update that will output multichannel PCM, but the Arc doesn’t currently support this. So I haven’t yet updated the tv.So the questions are: if Sonos releases an update to support multi PCM, will this solve all my problems and the DTS will be converted by the LG to multi PCM and give me surround sound?alternatively, if Sonos don’t provide the update, or it wouldnt actually work like that… is there another solution for those particular discs

I posted this in another thread, and saw others mentioning the same thing, but it was marked as an "answered" question, so I'll post it here as well.   Yesterday, my Move was sitting on its base (inside, temperature not hot) all day, power off. Went to use it last night and all that is happening is a constantly flashing orange battery light.  No response when I long press the power button. Let it sit overnight on the charger, still nothing.  The same thing happened a few weeks ago and I happened to stumble across something that worked online (it involved the wifi/BT button), but can't find that info now. I also was never able to find the device to complete the app setup but I never bothered to keep trying at the time. I will call on Monday, but am really annoyed that I can't use this expensive speaker all weekend.

I’ve tried so many different groups and settings and preferred speaker choices and this doesn’t seem to be possible.    I have an Echo, and an echo dot. I also have a Sonos beam with a sub and 2 play 1’s for surround. When I added Alexa third party to my Sonos app, I’m able to use Alexa on my Sonos beam which is great! However, when I create a group to include Sonos and the 2 Alexa devices I have, I can only choose the Alexa devices to play together OR just the Sonos devices. I can’t choose all of them so they ALL play music everywhere.   Does anyone know if this is possible?! Please advise😊

Hi everyone,  Using a Sonos Play 1 and a Mac, I’m unable to add folders to the Music Library.   The error is: Sonos was unable to add the music folder Access to the shared folder "//computer/folder" is denied - check the username and/or password   I’ve tried the password multiple times - that’s not the problem. I’ve also tried to close and reopen the Sonos program on the computer - the issue persists.    Does anyone have an idea what might resolve this? I searched the forum and found references to guides that only linked to the general support page - it appears the database has shifted and the links have broken. 

Have read that inserting the IP of one component into this url would pull up the Sonos network matrix:http://xxx.xxx.xx.xxx:1400/support/reviewMy interest in the network matrix is to inspect for interference and/or optimize the connection in the Sonos network.All the IP addresses of my components have the format: 10.x.x.xx.   I see the IP addresses in the Netgear Orbi AX6000 app that displays the components hardwired to router.  In my Sonos system, a Bridge is hardwire connected to the router.   Router is a ISP-supplied glass fiber modem + router.Question:  How can I generate the network matrix without the public IP addresses like 192. or 168. etc?Appreciate the advice!

I am using my Sonos Beam on wifi channel 11 (Wireless router is on channel 1). Recently my Playstation PS4 Controllers started experience lag when I was using the Beam. Thinking it was wireless interference I connected the Beam to ethernet directly to my router and disabled the wifi but still was having this issue. The only time the issue goes away is when I disconnect the HDMI Arc from the Beam. As soon as i connect the HDMI Arc back to the Beam the PS4 controllers start lagging. Any suggestions?

After hours of movie watching , the ARC sound  just Cuts out…. When I shut the tv off and on again the sound comes back on… I have a top of the line Samsung QP82-R and it is not the issue. What’s up with this ARC and all the posts same as mine of sound suddenly going mute…??????

I have a Sonos Beam and 2 Sonos one speakers of which I would like to attach an android TV box to my Samsung 50” series 8 smart TV and receive the sound through the Sonos Beam. Currently the android tv box that I have attached to my tv is connected by HDMI cable. When trying to play through the android box the sound reverts to tv speakers rather than the Sonos beam. If I were to purchase a new android box with optical connection port and connect it to my tv with an optical cable Would this allow the sound to come through my Sonos Beam?your advice would be very much appreciated.cheersGraham

After having my 2014 S1 bridge and connect disconnected from my stereo system for about a year I recently reconnected them.  I’m not sure if I have a problem or not.  According to the Sonos LED lights web page a flashing green light means you have a product ready to be set up.  After reconnecting the bridge to my router and then connecting the connect to my stereo system and then opening the Sonos app on my iPhone everything seems to work fine.  BUT I have a blinking green light on the top of the bridge the blinks every couple of seconds continually.   I don’t remember that happening before and my question is basically should I be concerned about the blinking light as everything seems to work? is there any way to stop it from blinking? Thanks

The green mute light will not go off on my Sonos One speakers. The speakers are not operating.The sub and play bar are OK. Turned off/on the power to the Ones. When reconnected with the wi-fi, the light went white for just a second, then went back to green. ??????

Hi. I’ve pre-ordered a Arc Surround Sound package and have a TV on the way which uses the Samsung One Connect box. I’d like to add a record player into this setup but... Am I right to think I have to buy a Sonos Amp in order to connect my turntable to Sonos? Or can the Arc accept direct input from a turntable like the Play5 can? (I assume a Sonos Port is no good because I don’t have a separate amp). I’d like to locate the record player on a sideboard well away from the TV. The TV runs all it’s connections into a One Connect box and so the Arc (I think) will physically connect to that. Do I connect my Sonos Amp to the Samsung One Connect box as well - or directly to the Arc speaker? (will the Arc have enough ports to simultaneously have cables connecting from the One Connect box and the Sonos Port?). Thanks to anyone that knows!

I play music using my iphone from my itunes app via airplay through my Sonos One speakers. When I am done playing music using my Sonos speakers. I turn off the music. However when I now just want the music to come out of my phone and not the Sonos speakers, they will not disconnect. I try to disconnect from Sonos but it will not let me. I have to turn off my phone in order to disconnect. I called Sonos already and they were not able to help me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi. I have a Sony OLED A8F that only has ARC.   I understand the support sequence for Dolby decoding but wondering if Sonos will now be able to support DTS decoding?  Many of my movies I have ripped to disk using the best sound option only and many of those are any line of DTS.  Can you please verify if the new ARC will support any of these? Thanks  

Yesterday I received my Sonos Beam and went through the setup. I can get sound working out of the Beam but have not been able to sync my remote to control volume. TV model: SAMSUNG UA65JS9000Remote Model: RMCTPJ1AP2 / BN59-01220D I do not run any set top box or any other device out of the TV. It is purely just the TV connected to the Sonos. I don't care about Siri, Alexa or whatever other garbage assistant products that are everywhere now. All I want is to hear sounds from my tv out of a speaker I just dropped $600+ on and be able to control it with the tv remote.I've tried going into the tv settings and setting up the universal remote to add Sonos but all the instructions online assume that you also have other devices connected which I don't.I have searched through all forums that discuss connecting Samsung remotes that use the connect one brain/module etc and nothing works.I have also tried 3 other remotes for other Samsung TV's in the house that are just standard IR remotes and none

I am absolutely incensed by the shear insensitivity and blatant Marketing effort under the guise of ‘End of Software Updates’ This is totally unjustified - the amount of software involved is minute compared to something like MS Windows and they manage to support £100 products for 10 years and TVs last just as long. My Connect:Amp is probably only a few years old and cost £400 and now you want me to upgrade for an insulting and derisory 30% off a hugely inflated price of £600!!!!!!!!!!! I will NOT Upgrade and will now be actively looking for alternative products especially as it now obvious you are going to do this to all my other products in the expectation of dubiously getting even more money from loyal Sonos owners. Until this moment I held your Company and products in high regard, now I am appalled by your behaviour and will NEVER buy any more. You greedy b*******s have shot yourselves in the proverbial foot. I dare you to publish this.  

Hi everyone, I’ve read through the forums and haven’t been able to find a solution to my problem.  I just installed the Sonos Arc, connected to Arc (not eArc) HDMI Port 2 on the back of my LG 65EF9500 TV. Apple TV is plugged into HDMI Port 1. I cannot get Dolby Digital 5.1 to pass through from the AppleTV to the Sonos, the App consistently says “Stereo 2.0.”  I’ve tried setting the AppleTV Audio Format > Change Format to Dolby Digital 5.1 and still get Stereo. TV Sound Out settings are set to Audio Out (HDMI ARC), with Digital Sound Out - both PCM and Auto didn’t make a difference.  Has anyone been able to get this combination of devices to work consistently and if so what is the ideal configuration on the Apple TV and LG 65EF9500 TV? Thank you,Ivan 

Hi I have a Sonos Move, and iPhone 11 pro (all software up to date). When I use siri to play music on the Move from my local iPhone music collection, the first song played is abnormally loud, and so if I don’t adjust the volume, the 2nd song played is very quiet. If after using Siri I adjust the volume slightly it jumps down the normal level. I have used ivolume to normalise volume across my collection and the tracks are fine on other airplay 1 speakers (but of course they can’t be played with siri), so I think this is an issue specifically related to Sonos and airplay 2. I have Alexa enabled on the Move and notice similarly that despite asking Alexa to set volume 3 - quite a low level, it’s always really loud when it starts next time. Has anyone else experience this and any suggestions on how to fix it?

Purchased 3 used ZP100 Amps so i can wire up some speakers in my house.  I have factory reset 2 out of 3 of them with no issues.   Process I tried. Hardwired them to my network, held mute buttom and plugged back in and the light turns amber for a bit and them i am able to find them through my sonos Ap and add them to my network.  All except for 1 of them . When trying to factory reset it the light never turns orange/amber, just keeps blinking white the whole time.  And my amp cannot find it because i’m having a problem factory resetting it.  Has anyone ran into this before or have a recommendations?  Thank you

Can the desktop controller be updated to use with S2?  

I have a Sonos system in which all components are on the one network. There are twelve Sonos units (Beam, Connect:Amps and Ones), and two of the Connect:Amps are legacy gen 1s.    I would like to make one floor of my house S1 including the old gen 1 Connect:Amps, and one floor S2 with the remaining units.   Can I have two Sonos systems - one S1 and one S2 - all on the same network? If so, are there any specific concerns, or ways that I need to set this up to make it work well?   Thank you Cal

Hi, I have a Gen 2 Apple TV connected to the Sonos Beam for sound (via AirPlay), and a projector via HDMI for video. All is well.  However, I want to be able to mirror my MacBook screen to the projector and play audio from the Beam. I can AirPlay from my Mac to the AppleTV then the projector no problem, but doing this sends the audio from AppleTV through the HDMI to the projector instead of the Beam. Any clever ways to split the video and audio from my MacBook mirroring between ATV and Beam? Or is there a device I can buy to force the Apple TV audio to go the Beam instead of HDMI? Thanks! 

I’m using a Sonos Arc in a projector setup, with: Sony UBP-X700 as source 1 Roku Streaming Stick+ as source 2 an AV Access matrix in the middle, which passes video over HDMI to the projector and audio over S/PDIF to the Arc’s HDMI adapter.  Everything works great with the Roku —the Sonos iOS app reports that the Arc’s audio input is 5.1.    Unfortunately, when using the Sony Player — to play either its own Netflix App, or a 4K Blu-ray — no matter how I configure the audio settings, the Arc only seems to receive stereo.  The Sony player is configured to send surround, and according to the onscreen info, it’s outputting 5.1 or 7.1 (depending on the disc or streaming content).   I’m hoping that the HDFury Arcana I preordered will fix this, but I’d love to get this fixed sooner than that. I’d really appreciate any advice!    

Hi guys!I’ve started having issues with my Beam since customer support told me to reset it after an interference noise kept happening.Alexa had been working fine, everything looks good on both Sonos, Spotify and Alexa apps but when I ask Alexa to ‘Play Rage Against The Machine’ for example, she says ‘Now playing Rage Against The Machine from Spotify’ and then silence.Same happens if I ask for a radio station.I've done a bit of digging on here and tried all the unlinking accounts, deleting apps etc but no joy. Alexa will still turn on the lightswhen asked, TV sound and PS4 sound is fine, just no music.I’m pulling out what’s left of my hair and Sonos customer support aren’t replying now which is disappointing.Thanks so much 🙂

I have been going through my many Sonos devices trying to upgrade the ones that need it.    When I am on the Sonos site looking at my devices it lists several that I threw away years ago. A bridge, a ZP90, the original remote control.    Is there any way to delete these devices?   In searching for this question on this forum, all I see is that if the device is given to somebody else, it will be removed from my account when they activate it on their account.  But in this case, I threw the things away. So there is no new account.    And yes, I know having the old devices listed does not hurt much; but it hurts my need for organization!
