Using Spotify. On Google pixel. Diagnostic 965656463 Super annoying. Don't know if it's a Sonos or Spotify issue. Have had tons of connection issues through Spotify connect too ( although this particular issue is happening directly through the Sonos app)

I updated the spotify app and when i try to connect to the sonos it does not play at all. I see the clock ticking for the track but no go. If i use the sonos app I am able to play but I did not have this problem before. Weird cause its been working for months. Thinking its the spotify app update. Anyone else update and have the same issue? Also, I did updates on ipad and same result as iphone, even with diff user accounts. Did all the restarting of speaker, router and no luck.

I have a new set up at home where I have two WIFI networks running. Let's call one PARENTS and one KIDS. I have the KIDS on a schedule so it shuts down at 9PM and comes back on at 6AM. It is no different than the PARENTS WIFI network in that it can access all LAN resources. My 3 CONNECTs are connected via direct Ethernet LAN connection. I believe that all my other SONOS speakers (3 Play:1, 1 Play:3, 1 Soundbar, 1 Sub) are connected via SONOSNET. My android phone is connected to the PARENTS WIFI and that is how I set up the connection to find the SONOS when initially setting it up. Shouldn't other devices (iPhone, Android Tablets) that are connected via the KIDS WIFI network be able to talk to the SONOSNET since they are on the same LAN connection even though they are connected to a different WIFI network (e.g. KIDS)?

Hi. When raising volume above about 75% it lowers itself down to roughly 75% again. It does this in Sonos App and in Spotify connect. Extremely annoying What to do?

Quick question regarding surround sound. I have an older Panasonic Viera, using Apple TV 4K, connected with hdmi and the through arc. I have sub, beam, two Sonos:1 for LS &RS. Sonos sounds great first of all! However, when I look at the about my Sonos, it’s always Stereo? I know Hulu isn’t in DD5.1, and that’s ok, because Sonos is so good at making it sound great. But for example through my movies I’ve purchased on iTunes, like Avengers that I know is DD5.1, it still comes in as stereo? Is it safe to assume that the older Panasonic doesn’t send the DD5.1 signal? Or am I missing something? If I need a new tv, I will, so any recommendations

I have two Sonos Ones a sonos play one and play 5. They all work perfectly through the sonos app. Both Sonos Ones have been working with Alexa for last year - no issues. Then in the last few weeks the issues have begun! Asking Alexa to play an album or playlist - the first song plays and then nothing. Asking Alexa to stop - it “bings” to let you know it’s heard you and then does nothing, continues to play. And this week - I say Alexa, it bings. I ask it to do anyone and there is just silence. My microphone is on, it hears me saying Alexa but does not perform command. I’ve disabled the skill and re added it. Same thing happens. The app recognises all of the devices. All of devices appear in my sonos app twice - which is another weird thing! I’m at a loss - I’ve never needed to ask for help before and I’m not sure how to go about getting the diagnostics check - can anyone advise?

Right now I'm just using speaker wire to include my subwoofer in my Connect Amp setup. I go from the Connect Amp, loop thru the subwoofer and then to my speakers. But I would like to take advantage of the subwoofer out connection on the Connect Amp. Do I just go RCA from the connect amp to the LINE in on the subwoofer? No speaker cable involved? Just go to the Left LINE in? I have an Acoustic Research S112PS. Thanks for your help. - Arnie

Currently have a Sonos 3 and a couple of 1s in the house. We have invested in a nice new TV (Samsung Frame) but don't want to go down the route of buying a Samsung sound bar - i'd rather keep all my music on one platform. Besides i'm blown away by the quality of Sonos and am happy to stick wtih them. One of the features of the Samsung Frame is that all the TV gubbins (e.g. HDMI, Audio, Scart, Coax/Sky) are in a separate box which is connected via a proprietary Samsung fibre optic "invisble" cable to the TV screen. So we took the decision to place our Sky box and our Samsung TV gubbins on a book shelf snug down the side of the sofa. The invisble cable is routed along the ceiling/wall to the TV screen at the other end of the room. All very minimalist. Now my dilemma is - the Sonos Beam needs an HDMI cable from the TV. Which means if we want to put the Beam underneath the TV then we will have to route a lengthy HDMI cable from the corner of the room by the sofa (from the TV gubbins

Will there be any chance, that Sonos will support Apple HomeKit in the future?

I would like to implement home theater system in the new flat, but on the opposite to the current flat, I do not want nasty long cables to the surround and rear speakers anymore! I would like to implement a scenario with wired front/center/sub and only for surround adopt a wireless connection. Wireless is not a way for front/center because of quality audio, but for surrond I can accept it. This could also be a good opportunity in order to be ready for multiroom audio in the future. My understanding I need a Sonos Connect connected to the AV receiver and 2 o 4 surrond Sonos speakers, could be Play:1 or Play:3 , or even Play:3 and Play:5. Question is: there will be delay ? Anyone experienced such a mixed configuration ? Thank you Marco M.

I have searched around with no luck. I am looking for a basic controller app user manual or tutorial - NOT the limited sub-topic-specific videos. I would like to just take the time to go through all the features of the app (ios in my case) at once.

My Sonos app is connecting to the internet and connecting to my home Sonos system, but nothing will play. This is the first time I have ever experienced this problem in 3 years of using Sonos. When I pick an artist or a song on Pandora, Apple Music, or Spotify, the app is displaying one of two options. Option 1 - Add Station to My Sonos - More OR - Remove from My Sonos - More If I select Add Station to My Sonos, and then go to the My Sonos section, the only option available to me is: - Remove from My Sonos What in the world is going on with this App. This happened out of the blue after the system working normally for 3 years. I am connected to my home wifi network, which is connected to sonos, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to play a song. I have tired connecting through the Sonos App, and connecting through the Spotify App, which normally will let you play a song on Sonos within Spotify.

I am wondering if anyone is using the hdmi connection for anything other than connecting the TV ? I would like to connect the audio hdmi from a Samsung UHD player to it for CD playback. I am assuming that the internal DAC would take care of this via the hdmi input ? Would this always turn on the Amp whenever I turn on the UHD player ? My other alternative would be to invest in an external DAC unit and connect it to the RCA inputs using a analogue switch (I am already planning on using this input for my turntable). However, I am not up on DACs and don't really want a lot of added expense for the few CDs we listento. Any help would be appreciated.

Got a Beam yesterday and connected fine, worked beautifully playing music via the Sonos app or via asking Alexa (kids also discovered “Alexa - maximum volume” very quickly!). This morning however asking Alexa to play music, I get an “ok playing xxxxx” but no music. Playing from the app still works, and asking Alexa the time etc still work fine, it’s just the music - is there anything I could try please?

New Sub arrived, Discovered the only way I can connect to my already +$1000 Sonos home set up is through existing play bar or other sonos.. No solo control over the Sub to match up with the deep bass I’m looking for. $699 and no Sub “only” control??? I’m pissed.

I've recently installed a Eero based mesh network in my house to reach all the awkward little corners that my previous setup could not. I have to say I'm impressed with it. One thing has been bothering me. When I try to connect the Sonos set up I have, distributed around the house, it seems that the Sonos system is only binding to a single AP MAC address. The support url shows pretty much all my sonos elements with "red" status for bad wifi signal quality. Is that how it works with Sonos, you only bind the whole system to a single base station? if so, I would like to urge you to support the full functionality of the mesh systems that can steer the devices to the nearest base station. Appreciate the clarification so I can decide what do with those speakers that keep dropping their connection. Thanks.

I have a Play 5 gen 2, and it fell off a shelf, fortunatelly on a sofa, but the cable tore apart. I’d like to see if I can repair it.

I keep getting a message saying I have Sonos notifications on my iMac however I cannot see anywhere they might be held on the Sonos desktop (for Mac).

hello I have just purchased a SONOS BEAM, connected via the optical audio port (no ARC on TV). I am having to turn the volume up on the Sonos app to above 75% to 80% to get any sort of acceptable volume level when watching the TV (music apps are at the normal levels as when I'm using my other Sonos devices) the TV is a SAMSUNG UE40H5000AK I cannot seem to select a Dolby output under my TV sound settings when using the beam also my remote control although recognised by my Sonos app, cannot control the volume (the message eon screen states, adjust volume on the connected speakers directly), any help here also would be appreciated. any help would be great thanks

Hi I got Sonos Play:1 speaker and trying to get it to work with SonosTube iPhone app but gettitng an error code 2 message saying “SonosTube failed to play the video on iPhone/ iPad. Reopen the SonosTube app.” I tried restarting the app 3-4 times but no luck. Does anyone know what this error is about and how to resolve it ? PS: speaker works fine with same iPhone using Sonos Controller app. Thanks, Vishal

Hey guys, I’m having issues with this for a while now and it’s bugging me. My setup is as follows: Sony Bravia smart tv Sonos Beam connected through HDMI ARC Whenever I stream a Netflix title with 5.1 sound (which is default), the sound hiccups once in a while. Could be every minute, once in a few minutes or multiple times in a few seconds. As soon as I switch to the non 5.1 sound, everything is fine. Also, if I pull out the hdmi arc cable with a 5.1 netflix title streaming and sound switches to built in tv speakers, everything is fine as well. Any ideas how to remove the hiccups? Thanks!

New sonos play:1 user. had the speaker since december with no issues, playing songs from my spotify app to sonos wirelessly with no skips and stopping of songs. in the past week every song i play this is happening to all of a sudden. i’m aware of sonos current issue with auto lock and airplay feature, both have always been turned off on my phone and still same issue. have rebooted, redownloaded, reset etc. i have tried to change wireless channel on the IP address but can’t figure out how to do that yet? Have also been getting the notification ‘unable to play (insert song) - network connection speed insufficient to maintain playback buffer’. seems like an obvious wi-fi issue but i’m not great with tech stuff and my usual switch off switch on trick hasn’t worked, so i’m stumped. no other wi-fi related issues in the house and sonos used to play perfectly before last week. submitted diagnostic, configuration number is 696190640 any help would be appreciated!

Loved Sonos so much, that we bought one for our 2nd home. However finding it's not possible to get Alexa and/or Amazon Music Unlimited to work at both locations. Is there any workaround?

My LG Television will not connect to my newly purchased Beam. Have tried both the ARC and Optical with no luck. The sound does work with Spotify but not the TV? Anyone with similar issues that has a resolution?

I am wondering if it is possible to have 5.1 or 7.1 system with Sonos in my great room. This would be part of 14 zone system in a home that is currently being built.. Most of the other zones will have a pair of ceiling speakers running off a Sonos Connect:Amp. The 7.1 or 5.1 system would have either 4 or 6 Sonance ceiling speakers (140 watts max output) and front center channel speaker or the Sonos Playbar and a subwoofer. I would want to use the Sonos iPad App to control the system when playing music, but use a URC remote when operating the television. Do not want to have to use both. Want to avoid using a remote to choose music source before using the Sonos App. Wondering if there is a receiver that would allow this or a way to do this. Would the the Onkyo “Works with Sonos” receivers allow this? Would another option would be to use four ceiling speakers with new Sonos:Amp with Sonos playbar and subwoofer. Would the Sonos:Amp be able to power the four Sonance ceiling s
