I just posted this in a Harmony support forum as well, but it is probably as likely to be addressed by Sonos as it is as by Harmony. . . maybe more likely? ------------- I like the Harmony hub remotes a lot. They have simplified the universal remote problem in several rooms in my house. So much so that I am now actively using two Harmony Hub Ultimates and one Harmony Hub, one each in 3 different rooms in my house. I use multiple audio input sources, and have Sonos eqpt in 5 rooms of my house. Two of these are the Sonos:Connect modules, so that I can send audio to and from multiple sources using my existing AV amps and speakers. The Sonos:Connect devices send the audio using 'Line-In' (this is Sonos' labeling/nomenclature). To send audio from my office to my den, I select the source as (office Sonos:Connect - Line-In) on the Den unit. I have to do this using the Sonos controller. . . I have not found any way to use the Harmony remote to select that as a source. It would be

So I have had my sonos for over a year. I am using a play 5 gen 1 that has a stereo patch cable connecting it to the tv. I am an employee with a home integration company so it’s no where near my first time using this product. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that only the HBO GO apps sound quality has changed drastically since the last time I had used it. It used to be pretty clear, crackle and pop here or there but nothing crazy. All of the sudden it is muffled and I can hardly hear the words being spoken, I’ve tried adjusting the EQ, even going though my tv speakers on my Sony it doesn’t sound quite right. So I’m sure it’s something with the way HBO go formats it’s audio. I’ve eliminated the possibility that it’s an issue with my fire stick, I see there seem to be other issues with hbo go as well thought the forum. I’m just wondering if anyone has ran into this issue before, All I know is winter is coming and I hope to be able to hear it properly!

I have had a sonos one for about a year and everything worked fine until about a month ago. Now it won't not play spotify via a voice command. It just says "sorry that device is offline". If I unplug the Sonos One, do a factory reset, and reconnect to Alexa and Spotify, things work fine for a day or two and then that message comes back. Any ideas?

Hey There, I'm looking to get my Turntables to work with my Sonos connect. Currently, I have 2 turntables plugged into a mixer, and then my mixer plugs into my tuner that work with my home speakers. I have my Sonos Connect plugged into my Tuner, so I can hear music (via the Sonos app) on my home speakers and my Sonos Speakers, but I'm wondering if there's a way I can get both turntables to also play on my Sonos Speakers? I use an Android box to stream all my tv content (LG SmartTV). It is an HDMI connection from box to TV. I now have a Beam which is connected to the TV using HDMI-ARC. Problem: I have no audio when watching streamed shows from the box unless I switch the audio back to TV speakers. Help? I feel like I’m missing something basic...

I have a Denon AVR-X4300H with 5 Klipsche speakers hooked up for 5.1 surround sound in my living room. I'm using sonos thru out my house to control both wired in ceiling speakers with amp and wireless play 1 speakers. I use the sonos app to control all of these except for the home theater setup. I would like to use the sonos app to control only the two tower speakers of my 5.1 system. I currently have an extra amp could I use it? If not what do I need to do? Thanks

I want to pipe in audio from an external source into my Sonos system, which I can do with a CONNECT using analog in. I want this to play on my Sonos speakers, and I also want to play the music on external speakers, which I can do using the analog out RCA output on the CONNECT. Question: Can I do those both at once on the same CONNECT device? (run in from music source, stream over sonos, and run out to external speakers) THANK YOU!

Hi - I have a Sonos Beam and 2 Play 1's with no sub in my average size living room. I think the sounds is generally great for my room, except for the Sonos Beam sometimes sounds muddled and a bit overworked when listening to bass heavy music or movies - it really produces better mid-bass sounds, especially at volume. I'd love to take some of the bass load off of the Play1's and the Beam. I want to add a sub, but for my space, the Sonos Sub is crazy overkill, I live in SF where our house touches our neighbors house - I don't think they'd love the sub. So my question - can I rig a Play 5 to act as a sub? I am sure if I add it to the mix, it will help with bass for music, but can this also be incorporated into movie/TV surround sound? Hi, just happily bought my sonos amp for my tv living room. My LE40D503F7W samsung tv doesn't have hdmi arc port, so how to i connect the amp to this? Attached a picture to see what is available, what kind of converter would i need if possible? Would like to avoid also having to get a new tv :) Chromecast that is connected now. I've been using my Sonos Beam with Alexa for months with zero issues. Today I had the brilliant idea to play a new album I bought from Google Play and found that the only way to do it was to link my Beam to Google Assistant. Part way through the setup, I saw the notice that everybody in the house would be able to access my Google account info, just by asking - YUCK, no thanks - so I canceled connecting to Google Assistant. Now, I can't get Alexa back. My microphone doesn't light up, and my Alexa app shows the device as offline. I tried several times to add Alexa back, but every time I tap to sign in to Amazon, I get a spinner for a second, then the message "! There was a problem adding Alexa - Try again or Not now". I followed all the advice I found searching online: disable skill in Alexa app, remove devices, reset Beam, and start all over, but I'm still stuck at "There was a problem adding Alexa" and getting more and more frustrated by the minute.

I've had a Playbase for a while now, and is my only Sonos speaker in the house. I want to channel my turntable through the Playbase using the Connect. Ultimately I'll be adding additional speakers but want to start with the single Playbase. is this possible?

I've a TV that support's eARC, and have already invested in Sonos around the house for music. I'm looking at Sonos AMP as the basis for building an AV solution for my TV. eARC has a number of benefits, however lip sync support might be the most significant. The question is, is Sonos going to update the AMP to support this, like some of the other manufacturers such Samsung and Sony are already doing? Thanks!

Hello Everyone, I live in the Netherlands and I recently purchased a Sonos Beam with 2 Play 1 (all in the living room) and an IKEA/Sonos speaker for the bedroom. I also have a Google Home Hub. I managed to play Spotify properly on the Google Home Hub using voice control and I also manage to play Spotify on all Sonos speakers using the Sonos Android App. I have the Beam connected to a Sony Android TV and, if I ask it to play Spotify, it automatically turn on the TV and plays Spotify, but I cannot manage to use Google assistant to play Spotify on the Beam (and the 2 Play 1) having the TV off. Similarly, I cannot use google assistant to play Spotify on the IKEA speaker in the bedroom: when I ask Google assistant to play music on that speaker, it says that he is going to play Spotify on that speaker, but eventually ti says he cannot help with it yet. Does anybody had a similar case? How can I fix it? Thanks a lot!!!

Good evening all I am going to be getting a Sonos Beam shortly and having had a trial run with a Panasonic soundbar I am certain that the Beam will assist my partner who does not have great hearing. However she does struggle with the loud crash and bang stuff that goes on in the background and the TV volume is constantly going up and down, so am looking forward to giving the Speech/nighttime options a whirl - but a couple of questions:- 1 - Is there a noticeable improvement in the clarify of speech and reduction in background audio when this function is enabled? The Panasonic soundbar we have tested has a speech function but marginal difference. 2 - I understand the Beam can be grouped with other sonos speakers to play the TV audio (not surround sound) - does the speech/nighttime mode settings get replicated in the other speaker (play 1 in my case)? 3 - Would it be weird to my partner if the grouped speaker was adjacent to her listening position playing the TV audio - so she would have

I have an Echo Dot and two Sonos Play:1s, all registered to me, my apps and my phone, all online, same wifi, etc. I have a 'Living Room' group in Alexa.app with "Kitchen Echo Dot" and "Sonos" in it. Sonos is set as default music speaker in Alexa.app and the Sonos Skill is enabled. The problem is when I say "Alexa Play Spotify" I get "Here is Spotify on Sonos. Sorry on Sonos is offline." I can play Spotify on the Sonos using Spotify Connect or the Sonos app, but can't get Alexa to control it. If I'd bought a 4 wheel drive car but years later was told that it was only going to be 2 wheel drive after a software upgrade, I would be pretty p'd off by that and would expect some compensation having been mis-sold a product. However I'm now seeing nagging pop-ups on my Sonos App telling me I will no longer be able to play content from my iPhone after a forthcoming upgrade? 1) In my view that is not an upgrade, 2) It is removing one of the fundamental reasons I invested in Sonos products and 3) I feel I'm going to lose faith in the system if it's a pain to recover from a feature I've had since day 1 ownership. Is this due to pressure from Apple or other manufacturer, have Sonos been providing this feature illegally? Are Airplay 2 compatible Sonos speakers the only solution or should I just not upgrade to the latest Sonos App?

I recently moved into a house with an 11 room Sonos set up. The old owners left all the equipment except for 1 room, the living room, which would be the 12th room in the set up. In that room, there are two Connect:Amps. One is for the speakers outside by the pool, the other is for that living room. However, there are no more Sonos speakers in that room. So my question is, could I set up an older Pioneer system to that Connect:Amp without having to spend upwards of 1,000 bucks to properly outfit the room?
