I am using an iPhone 7 running iOS 12.3.1 and Sonos app 10.3. When I select Room Settings within the Settings menu, I receive the spinning wheel suggesting a wait is required and nothing appears for me to select. I went to my Mac desktop controller and noticed that the full Room Settings menu has been removed and I can only change EQ. I want to change the location of a speaker and need to rename it and run Trueplay. Is there a known bug in 10.3?

Trying to disable the Alexa on the Sonos beam and have an echo dot be the Alexa instead. How do you connect an echo dot to the Sonos beam? It’s not connecting through Bluetooth.

I have just read that Sonos is dropping the “on this iPhone” feature. This is deeply concerning to me because it will effectively render my two Sonos Play 1’s useless. I don’t subscribe to a subscription service because I like to own my music and support my local record store. Not being able to play from a phone will be so inconvenient. I don’t want to power up my laptop every time I want to listen to music throughout the house. Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

Hello, I have a Sonos Beam (Alexa built-in) and a Ring Video Door Bell at Home. I have added the Sonos and Ring Skills, and Alexa can see my Ring Video Door Bell as : a) a Camera and b) a "Motion Sensor", which is perfectly fine. I understand that Ring Skills (for video) work only for Echo Show or Fire TV, so I am trying to use the "Motion Sensor" capability of my Ring Doorbell via an Alexa Routine like follows: 1) WHEN "device" (ring doorbell motion sensor) DETECTED MOVEMENT THEN Alex Say "Intruder" But when trying to create the Routine, the save will fail because Alexa couldn't find any audio device. How is that possible if Alexa lives "inside" de "Audio Device" SONOS BEAM? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks

I got a new router and I cannot get the Sonos App to recognize the existing Sonos system I have. I do have sound for my home theatre but when I follow the instructions from Sonos I lose the sound and the app still does not work. I tried setting up as a new system but had the same issue. Any thoughts?

Hi I have added recently Sonos One ( gen 2) I was automatically assigned for bathroom I have previous Sonos Play 1 in the bedroom So originally I want to assign Sonos One to the same bedroom and to create a stereo pair For some reason and cannot move speaker as expained in the forum , as this option just doesn't appear neither on my mobile app( ios) not desktop one ( Windows 10) So how do I exactly move newer Sonos One to the Bedroom with exisitng Sonos Play 1 speaker? So, I'm seriously considering diving in to the world of Sonos, but I'm interested in how to go about hooking up the equipment I already have. What I have as sources currently: [list=1] [*]Marantz CD6006 CD Player [*]Audio-Technica AT-LP5 with phono pre-amp built in [/list] These are both currently connected to a Marantz NR1608 integrated amplifier/receiver. I want to be able to play both CD's and vinyl through the Sonos system. I'm thinking of starting with 2 Play:5 speakers as my main living room experience, and a couple of Play:1's in some of the other rooms, maybe a Beam hooked up to the TV in the master bedroom as well. I do use streaming services (Spotify, Rhapsody, Slacker, etc.) but I do love the experience of physical media :nerd: and we have a [b]lot[/b] of CDs and vinyl. Hi forum members, I've been using the playbar for a while now. I love the sound quality but want to add the SUB to "beef" it up. I know that SUB transforms the playbar but my concern will I notice the difference in all cases?Let me clarify. I am watching mostly IPTV with stereo sound. If playbar tries to create fake surround sound from every type of audio you throw at it (i think this is the case) how will the added SUB recognize what frequencies to "take" from playbar? I'm considering a Sonos Beam for my projector set up as a way to improve the speech (centre channel) in movies, tv series etc. My current floor speakers do really bad job at it, no surprises here. I was doing some research and noticed that Speech Enhancement and Night Mode are not available over Airplay 2. This is the only way I can send audio from my Apple TV, since it's attached to the projector on the ceiling. My question is, why can't these features function over Airplay 2? To my understanding, Airplay 2 broadcasts 5.1 audio (Dolby Atmos) in lossless format. So, in theory, it shouldn't be problem.

I moved into a home where they had previously installed by Bose 4 outdoor speakers and 4 indoor surround sound speakers into the ceiling. They all run at 4-8 ohms ea... I know that its possible to run 4 speakers onto an amp, but the speakers HAVE to be 8 Ohms to do this (my understanding). My problem is whats the most cost effective solution while still maintaining a good sounding set-up? Do I have to buy 2 Amps for indoors and 2 for outdoors (with only 2 speakers connecting to each)? or am in the clear in connecting 4 to each since the speakers have a range of ohms from 4-8? My preference would be to just buy all sonos, but since the indoors are already mounted and the sonos have to be plugged in, I'd need an installer/electrician to come out. I'd prefer to avoid that since I'd have the additional cost of needing to buy new speakers as well.

How do I get my sonos one gen 2 to play the tv sound without being grouped with my Playbar and sub. My 2 ones are a stereo pair. I did add a different one because Best Buy had them on sale. Now when I added new speaker to existing sonos one, speakers will play in a group Playbar + sub and 2 ones 2nd gen. Now when I ungroup and play the 2 ones by themselves for tv sound there’s nothing. Then in order for sound to come through again I have to go to browse and tap the tv button. I don’t know what to do cause it worked fine before I added new speaker

Hi folks, I’ve had a look around on the forums for an answer to this, but couldn’t find one to a similar issue. I’m looking to replace my very old stereo amp and bookshelf speakers with a Sonos Beam to connect to my TV, with potentially a couple of One’s for rears and a Sub down the road. I have some vinyl and I’d like to hook up a turntable (and preamp if necessary) at some point as well. Is it possible to connect the turntable to a Sonos Amp and use that with the other Sonos speakers above? i.e. no external/ third-party speakers wired to the Amp? Would I add the Amp to the existing room, or create a new room and group the two whenever I want to listen to vinyl? Is there any way to only play vinyl through the Beam to get a (more or less) stereo sound, or will the vinyl effectively play in 5.1? I know a Sonos Connect is probably the more suitable option here, but frankly it doesn’t look as nice as the Sonos Amp! Thanks for your help.

Hi, Just looking for some advice about the Sonos Play:1 (Gen 1). There are some quite attractable deals on these speakers at the minute on Amazon. Having looked on a deals website, I've noticed several people mentioning the Gen 1 is not compatible with Apple Music due to 'Airplay 2'? My intention is to purchase three speakers, one for the living room, kitchen and bedroom. I would like to use my Apple Music membership and, have the ability to stream music to one room at a time or to all rooms (with the same music) however, I'm told via a deals forum this cannot be done, only via the Gen 2. Is this correct before I lose out on the deal? Thanks for the help! Antony

When I added two Sonos Ones to my existing Sonos-filled house last year, I was excited about Alexa integration. However, I disabled the Sonos skill within days because of the "Ducking all speakers" issue. My six Sonos speakers and Connect are unusable when linked to Alexa because of this real irritation to the entire household. I make no apology for again asking: "When will the 'all speakers ducking' issue be fixed?" Thanks.

I am using SmartThings and Webcore to automate a few things in my house. Before the latest firmware update I was able to use the status of my Sonos speakers in Webcore (eg "backyard switch is on") so that I could change the color of some interior lights (to remind me that music is on outside) and keep the smartlock on the door from automatically locking (we go in and out a lot to keep up with the demands of our 2 year old son). Sounds like the firmware update broke SmartThings/WebCore's ability to work with Sonos. I read that Sonos decided to change the xml schema in the zone data, which prevents SmartThings from identifying groups and players properly. Is there anyway I can downgrade firmware so that everything works again? I have no plans on using Google Assistant so Im ok losing "features" if this is possible. Thanks in advance!

So if this is going away and I have the Amp how am I supposed to play my music on the Amp without subscribing to a music service without a home computer? Seems ridiculous

Hi. I'm probably missing something simple here so apologies in advance but im trying to link Amazon Music to my Sonos System but can't find it listed in "Add Music Services". This is not an Amazon prime streaming account but the basic music that I've bought and downloaded. The Amazon music app is installed and working fine. I'm going to around in circles trying to use the online guides so any assistance great fully received.

Hi folks yesterday morning my phone (android, 8.1.0) gave up connecting to SonosNet. Kept trying to connect and not getting an IP address. I tried some stuff, including resetting everything but now although the info tells me all my boxes are on WM0 (ie wired) and I'm on Sonosnet channel 1, the phone doesn't see the SSID, nor does my wifi analyser see anything on channel 1 - nor anything that corresponds to sonosnet. I have a newish Boost wired to the router, a couple of Play:1s, a Play:5, a couple of connect:amps and a connect. Can anyone help please? It's irritating because the sonosnet mesh system gets me so much better wifi coverage for the phone etc than relying on the router. cheers Dick
