Recently purchased the Sonos 5 with the Pro-ject T1 phono SB. Had to purchase a separate RCA to 3.5 mm to connect to the speaker. Connected and working- HOWEVER can only hear faint music when volume on speaker is set to 100%. Know that is not the capacity of the speaker and after hours on chat to trouble shoot we are getting zero answers. Anyone else have this issue? PLEASE help!!!

I have 12 separate Sonos devices, all integrated with numerous Alexa devices and other “smart home” features.  Everything works fine.  Everything has worked fine for two months (since new internet provider).  Then, suddenly, the S1 app quit working.  We have rebooted the router NUMEROUS times, rebooted the modem, deleted and reinstalled the app.  Hard wired individual speakers to the router.  You name it.  EVERYTHING in our Smart Home works except for Sonos.  We can even control our Sonos speakers with Alexa.  So we know there is no wifi issue.  The app is required in order to group devices, though, so now I have very expensive “bricks” when it comes to my television and other speakers used throughout the home. EXTREMELY frustrated, as you can imagine.  We even called customer support.  Were place on hold for an hour, and received no substantive help.  Any ideas?  

Whenever I use any of the buttons on the 'Move'  device there is a loud chime which is too loud. I  can not find a way to stop the chime or reduce its volume. 

All I would need is a line in from my dj controller to Sonos port? Wanted to confirm this before making the purchased. 

Bought my Dad a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable to connect to his Play:5 Sonos Speaker.   He’s having Audio issues - Telling me the audio output is not playing all the music / sound.  He says the RCA connection in the back of the Play:5 does not seem tight.  It didn’t “click” into the speaker.     Could it be the wrong cord Sonos sent me - any ideas would really help.

How do I make voice contact with customer support?  Patience is wearing thin dealing with S2 app.

I am a long term (10+years) owner of SONOS equipment.I have (spread around the house) 2x 5’s 4x 1’s a sound bar and a sub.2 of the 1’s, the sound bar and the sub are my TV sound system.I am moving to a larger house that will support a much bigger TV.In order to have a ‘proper’ 5.1 surround system I want to add a pair of L+R front speakers.Bearing in mind that I do not want, nor have the cash, to upgrade all my SONOS kit to the newer versions, i need a solution that will work with the original hardware.Ideally I would like a pair of floor standing speakers for L+R fronts, the sound bar to act as the centre front speaker and the 1’s (or of possible the 5’s) to act as the rears.I dont think the sound bar gives a wide enough sound stage for true 5.1 surround sound.I have looked at the various kit that SONOS provides and I’m torn between a device that will connect the SONOS system to a standard HiFi A/V amp, but I’m not sure that will give me a signal to the sound bar /sub /rears, or just u

Hi folks, I have a pal who has the same system as me...2 Play 5 Gen2’s and the Sub.He is about to embark on fairly regular business trips(lasting about a week each time).I am asking this in his name…...Since he feels more comfortable not having his system plugged in while he’s away,can he “safely” shut it off(pulling the plugs,obviously) for say a week at a time and then safely re-plug everything in.Basically,if the system has been in a plugged in mode,with all components on for a while,does turning it off occasionally have a negative side effect,is his concern.I myself don’t know either.Greatly appreciate “thoughtful” feedback.Much thanks

I currently play my music through a Sonos play 3 And am thinking of buying a Sonos one gen 2  will these pair up ok as there will be both Olin the same room

I changed my password in Sonos,  Now the sonos S2 app will not log in with that same password.

Hello. I am having trouble with acessing my Sonos Connect from my Android phone. The S1 app wants me to uppgrade to S2, naturaly. But i can’t get passed the upgrade-message to continue to use the S1 app.The reason i do not want to use the S2 app, is that it can’t find my system. It says that Sonos S1 is not compatible with my system.But The Sonos Connect should be compatible with S1.  Or am i wrong? Any advise is appreciated.

I’m new to Sonos land and have a bunch of the ikea / Sonos speakers that don’t all that fabulously with AirPlay. I’d like to access BBC radio here in Canada using Sonos app. I can’t find the URL for live steaming it. Anybody help? 

I have recently ordered the arc which has google assistant built in. I am wondering if i have to keep the existing nest mini speaker to control all my smart home devices or if i can get rid of the speaker and use the arc to control all smart devices.Not sure how good it will be to have two google assistant devices in same room!! 

I have a Sonos system in which all components are on the one network. There are twelve Sonos units (Beam, Connect:Amps and Ones), and two of the Connect:Amps are legacy gen 1s.  I would like to make one floor of my house S1 including the old gen 1 Connect:Amps, and one floor S2 with the remaining units.   I understand from a previous reply that I can have two Sonos systems - one S1 and one S2 - all on the same network. If so, are there any specific concerns, or ways that I need to set this up to make it work well? I’d like to have two of the S2-capable devices on the S1 system (to allow me to airplay to all speakers on the S1 system). Is there a way to specify/make these S2-capable Sonos units join the S1 system? Thank you Cal

Hi we purchased Sonos Amp and connected it to our existing amplifier that is connected to 7 in ceiling speakers each with a volume control slider on the wall.  It seems to work but we’re worried about having 2 amplifiers together.   thanks

Hi Everyone,   I own a Sonos Beam, as well as 4 additional Sonos One SL’s.   I have a 900 sqft apartment, and using Spectrum internet with a download speed of 224 mpbs, upload at 10.4 mbps (if that matters).   When I have the speakers on all at once, when changing songs or hitting next, some speakers cut out for about 30 seconds before coming back on.    At first I thought this was a Spotify issue so I signed up for Apple Music to test my theory, and it seems to be the same case.    Does anyone else experience this issue? If so, what has helped you?

We don’t have a bridge, unhooked the speaker that didn’t fit the recent upgrade, are using the new controller and still the four play 1 speakers we use constantly lose connection to music services. I mainly use Spotify but it’s happening across the board, the alarms set up to turn on radio stations all just bong the Sonos charm and it’s driving me nuts! I know friends who all seem to be having similar problems over the last months or so, is the system doomed?! 

I get this report. It says “connection with spotify disconnected”. Can anyone help me?

I cannot get rid of the Chrome ad that appears in the App. Any theories as to how to get rid of this ?

I have 5 access points that are all connected to the same 8 port POE switch.The POE switch is NOT connected to the router or network and the wireless function on the router is disabled.  The access points are somehow connecting to the LAN and finding the router gateway and internet and are they working...and they shouldn’t be!  One of the AP’s has a sonos plugged into it’s extra LAN port.  If I unplug it, the wireless network goes down.  It seems that the AP’s are using the SONOS wireless network and finding the LAN router through one of the wired SONOS in the house.  We have 13 Sonos devices in the house, about half are connected to the LAN.1st question, is this possible...is my guess correct?2nd question, how do I shut it down?  I discovered it because of network problems and latency. 

Hello all, I just bought a Sonos One for the kitchen and we have a Beam for the living room. The One is connected via Wifi, the Beam via ethernet cable. For some reason my Sonos Ons disconnects a few times a day and I need to reconnect it. Sometimes even create a room etc.  Some more information: In the kitchen we have a router and in the living room there is another one which acts as an access point. I am only using the 2.4ghz network. I have submitted a diagnostics report:1529903601. I hope someone can tell me what is wrong.  Thanks and kind regards, Jim

I recently added my SiriusXM subscription to my Sonos configuration. When I try to listen to any SiriusXM channel, after attempting to connect, I receive the error message "the song is not encoded correctly". Sonos setup includes: Play:5 (original) - Ethernet Connect - Ethernet 2 x Play:5 (new model) in stereo pair - wireless 2 x Sonos One SL in stereo pair - wireless Sonos Amp - Ethernet Play:3 - wireless I *can* get SiriusXM channels to play reliably on the Sonos One SL pair but not on any other Sonos devices, neither the newer generation Play:5 and Amp nor the older products (original Play:5 or Connect - haven’t tested the Play:3). Ethernet connections are Gb, Internet is Comcast with 170 Mbps down, 12 Mbps up. No problems with other services (local music library, TuneIn, & Amazon Music) Can you please help me get SiriusXM working? Thanks  

My Sonos Play:5 and playbar have stopped connecting. I cannot connect to my Sonos products anymore. The white light is on. The playbar works with the tv. I have tried everything to reconnect. Can I do a factory reset? Any other "tricks"?  Tia. 

I am hoping a sonos support can explain this officially. When I stream from Spotify, does the song first come down to one player and then if I group, Does the song go out from the one player to the other players in the group. If I have a group does it do the same? Does Tidal hi res also work that way on Sonos?
