Hello, I will start by saying I do not have Sonos right now.  I am in the process of building a new house and am thinking of installing a Sonos system.  I have, for some reason, had the hardest time wrapping my head around the system.  I think my main issue is with wired speakers and how it works within the Sonos world.  My wife wants speakers hidden in the walls/ceiling as well as outside.  I now realize that I need the AMP to have wired speakers.  My question is, do I need anything else?  I mean if I want to stream music from Pandora and I want it to play on a Sonos speaker as well as the wired outdoor speakers do the AMPS connect to the other Sonos speakers in the house?  Someone told me I still need a receiver?  Also, if I have the new ARC connected direct to my TV via earc HDMI will the arc connect with outdoor speakers connected to the AMP.

Hello community,I purchased a new Sonos Arc and removed a lot of my gear to create a more simple surround sound system.  I was forced to update from Sonos S1 to the S2 system.  It was necessary for me to remove several Sonos products from S1 to do the upgrade.  I removed 3 Sonos connect, a Sonos Bridge and a Sonos Connect:amp.  I am able to re utilize those products by running a split system but this leaves me with no way to drive my in-wall surround speakers.  I was counting on using the connect:amp to do this.  I am also unable to run my Velodyne Sub which I am willing to leave out of the system for now.  It appears to me, this is not possible.  I find myself in a frustrating position without having surround sound and feel quite abandoned by Sonos.  I know some of my components are old but that is why I have tried to invest in high quality product.  I never looked at it as a “rental agreement” with Sonos.  As a worst case, it looked like I might be able to receive a 30% credit toward

My Sonos Arc, keeps resetting or restarting.  It is random, and can happen every few hours or every 30 seconds.  I have replaced the power cable, but still have the same problem. It happens when it is connected to my TV system (via the hdmi arc), and happens when I'm listening to Spotify or the radio. Any idea's?

Hi, Dolby Atmos is now not showing in the S2 app anymore. I’m using Netflix from my Sony KD-65XH9005, it was working before and had the name in the tv bit but recently it’s just saying 5.1its also stopped saying it when I’m watching football in UHD on sky sports, it did say it in the app the as well.

Hello,   Just enjoying our new MOVEs (is that the correct plural?). In the app, I can add CBC radio, and I can get all the CBC radio stations.  Except that sometimes, a bunch of them are missing.  Including Ottawa (where I live) and Toronto, and everything east of Sudbury west of Quebec City. I have added two speakers, and installed the app on two phones.  It seems to be the same on both.  If I look under CBC radio right now, Ottawa (and others) are not there; they definitely were there before.  In fact I added CBC Ottawa to “My Sonos” and it is still there, but “unable to play the selected item”. Just for comparison, I have been listening to CBC radio over the internet and from the CBC app for years now and it has always been there.

Hi,  I was trying to move my Sonos One SL after setup from my desk to living room , now it doesn’t turn on when I reconnect .I don’t see any light on the top.  I just bought this today from bestbuy. I have tried the hard reboot holding the connect  button , rebooted the router. any help appreciated. thanks

hi all,I have just switched home broadband to Three’s 5G service. In switching WiFi services to the new setup I have gone through the requested steps but when I plug one of the Sonos One’s into the router via ethernet cable, it simply doesn’t recognise it. I can see it’s connected when I jump into the router settings on my browser (though this happens sporadically).I called support who said I should speak to Three about changing the router settings. This included splitting the channels into both 2.4 and 5Ghz with WPA2 security. I’ve done that now but still nothing.FYI, I have a Playbase and two Ones set up in one room. I have since tried connecting the router to the Playbase as well without any luck.I saw another post about changing the 2Ghz bandwith to 20Mhz and the Channel to 6 (see screenshot) but no dice.Any help would be enormously appreciated!

Hi all,My Move just randomly stops playing music. I have a Beam, a few One G2s and a Boost - they are all working fine. I know the Move and Boost can’t talk to each other. I have an extender which is In Use for my system. Am using Channel 11.  The Move sometimes plays and sometimes doesn’t it’s completely random. I can see it on the app, it shows that it is playing music as in the little music bars are going up and down - sorry for my non-tech language but hope you know what I mean!Touch controls on the Move work - if I hit Pause it will Pause the whole system even though music isn’t playing on it. Have submitted diagnostics 1074554245.Any help would be greatly appreciated, I love my Sonos but this is starting to give me the irks. Thanks!Petie

I just can’t find the answer to this anywhere: Does the Sonos One (Gen 1) support Airplay 2?

My sonos app is not able to connect with spotify and it says “unable add songs to queue.” In addition, my speakers and amp keep getting disconnected (i.e. I don’t see them on my app.) I don’t want to keep unplugging and replugging in my amps.    Rupali

After switching to S2, and despite factory reset, reset router, good connection via ethernet, cannot get 5 to operate via wifi. “incorrect password” error despite all other Sonos devices working ok on same password. Please help!! Worked fine on S1.

I have organized and cleaned up my Music App on my mac mini. I now have 271 playlist, the same number as before getting organized.  I have a notification from the Sonos system that there are to many playlist.  I created folders on the mac for the different types of playlist.  Sonos2 has the folders listed as playlist?  I can delete the folders and or some of the playlist.  any other suggestions welcomed

If I add 2 x Sonos One SL to my Beam as rear speakers will Alexa play music through all 3 speakers or just the Beam? Thanks for any insight.

When I use Android Sonos Controller to play music using 'On this Mobile Device' album tracks appear in the wrong order (see below). The album starts with track 1 then moves to track 10, 11,12 etc. until the end of the album before returning to tack 2? My large music collection was transferred to my phone from my iTunes folder using the iSyncr app. None of these errors exist in either iTunes or Poweramp app (populated from the iSyncr folder on my phone) Other anomalies appear with double albums and splitting errors are common, again, these errors do not appear anywhere else (see below) Can anyone explain - in the simplest way possible - why this is happening?

Hi all.I’m trying to install two Boost in my system, in order to have a bitter experience.Actually, my system is connected via Amplifi, a mesh system from Ubiquiti. When I try to add the Boost, no way to get it in the system, so I’ve to wire it with the ethernet cable (out from the Amplifi router). After having connected it, and correctly  saw it in the system tab of the app, I remove the ethernet cable, but the boost disappears from the system. Has anyone any idea of what’s happening? Many thanks.

Is it possible to connect SONOS to more than one Spotify account?I use Spotify for streaming music and have my Spotify account connected to my SONOS system. But when my wife logs in to SONOS from her phone or laptop, it connects to MY Spotify account. Is it possible for SONOS to connect to HER Spotify account on her phone/laptop so she can have access to her own playlists instead of having to play off mine?

Dear SONOS,I have a ton of spurious repeated playlists labelled as “Internal error - Invalid Atom” which I need to delete from the third panel window section, under the Imported Playlists panel. Also, my “TOP RATED” iTunes playlist doesn’t sync to the SONOS One Desktop nor my iPhone Music Library Listing ???  There appears to be major problems with syncing an accurate copy of my iTunes Playlist(s) to SONOS.This is crazy,….. this has been a systemic problem for years now which hasn’t been seriously addressed by SONOS, to my knowledge. Why is this so difficult SONOS ?    Here’s your chance to fix this issue. My faith in SONOS is being challenged right now after investing $1,000’s in my SONOS system.I am also having major WiFI Stability issues with speakers dropping in & out regularly. Best regards,Chris.

I use my Play 5 with my turntable through a pre-amp. My Play 5 randomly kicks any device off. Anyone else have this problem?

Most of the time I am unable to access my Sonos playlists on my iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). They are visible sometimes but most of the times the whole section is missing on the ‘My Sonos’ overview page. The Sonos playlists are reliably visible and accessible in the Mac app. It appears to be a problem only present with the iOS versions of the app.Is this a known issue? Is there a solution? It is a bit awkward carrying the MacBook around all the time just in case I want to listen to a playlist.

Hi all,I have a Connect:Amp (and Connect & Playbar ) hard wired to the network (along with a couple of Play:1s and a Move all on wifi), yet occasionally the Amp just drops off the App.  I have tried with Wifi Enabled and Disabled on the Amp and it doesn’t seem to make any difference. With WiFi on, it was showing a OFDM of 7, so quite weak - despite sitting almost next to a Unifi Access Point but the Amp would appear to drop off the app even with wifi disabled.Any ideas on what to look for to diagnose?ThanksRoss

Does Sonos support moving/trasnfering the music from a google speaker to a Sonos using their Stream transfer functionality? You can do this between two google speakers by saying “ hey google, move the music to the living room speaker”.https://www.blog.google/products/google-nest/move-your-music-stream-transfer

Hi Needs some advice here...!I have 2 Sonos One’s separated, one called kitchen for obvious reasons the other dinning room. Both play trough the Sonos app, BBC Sound s App and intune app. However if I’m in the kitchen and I ask Alexa to play a song. She says playing song by UB40 on Spotify. However it plays on the Dinning room not the kitchen Therefore I did a Factory reset on each speaker naming each one Kitchen and Dinning Room. The problem I have now, is that neither speaker will no longer play Spotify through alexa. My Sonos app say it playing but there is no sound. My router is on Sky UK if this makes a difference any help greatly appreciated

I bought a Sonos Amp, really should’ve bought a Port for what my intended setup.  I am not even sure what I can use the Amp for since there is no audio out.  Probably going to just have to sell it.  Right now I have a connect for my in celling speakers, I guess I could use the amp for a couple of those.
