We have the Sonos ARC connected from our TV using HDMI eARC but we have terrible lip sync issues. All audio settings on Sky Q, TV and Sonos App have been updated to try and resolve the lip sync but the only thing we can do is to set the Sky Q Audio to Normal instead of Dolby Digital Plus.This means that we invested in the Sonos ARC to have no better sound output than we would with any cheaper soundbar. Why do we need to watch movies that have Dolby Atmos sound with Normal audio settings? Doesn’t that defeat the object of having the Sonos ARC?Are Sonos going to fix this issue?

I have a new Samsung Frame TV connected via HDMI ARC to a Sonos AMP.  Working perfectly until a few days ago. The system now is automatically switching off of the HDMI input and reverting back to the TV internal speakers… If I interact with the volume slider in the Sonos app it will switch back to the HDMI connection to the AMP, but then reverts back again to TV internal speakers after a few seconds.  The TV audio input settings look correct, the Sonos system plays back music just fine and is connected to the Sonos app...  Any ideas?    

 I have a pair of One SL, the arc and the sub (gen3) all connected and working together. My question is if I replace the pair One SL with the in ceiling speakers with it be compatible and plays well with the other devices? Also would the amp be necessary at this point?  thank you 

 Hi, I use the Sonos app to play music cds stored on my iMac in iTunes. I recently had to re-load MacIOS on my computer, and while I figured out how to link my iTunes library to Sonos, I did something incorrectly. I cannot no longer obtain infomation on the Sonos playlists about upcoming or previous tracks. I can get info about song currently played but not about others on playlist. How can I remedy this? Cheers, Eventually answers to my questions could be found in Sonos Support and FAQ. I could not be assure of the right answer and the situation has some minor particularities. I was not able to find a recent topic that includes this doubts. Since it is a considerable investment I post here my questions hoping they can be answered. Tried to set up an alarm using my Apple Music playlist and continued to receive “We’ve run into a problem. Try again.” message on Sonos app in Apple iOS and Windows.  Can still play from the Apple Music playlists, but can’t load the playlists.  Diagnostic #: 1254326539

I've got an ASUS RT-AC68U wireless router and am really struggling connecting to a music library on a USB.On my old router, I just plugged the USB in the back and entered the appropriate path when defining the music library location in Sonos and it all worked fine.With the new router, I can't figure out how to connect Sonos to the USB stick plugged into the back. The router's USB config utility gives me an option to setup a UPnP media server, which I've done (because I've read that Sonos is UPnP-compliant), but I don't know if that's the right thing to do. I still have no idea what the path is to the USB stick, or how to access it. I've downloaded and read the relevant section of the router manual, but I'm still stuck. The ASUS range of wireless routers is pretty common, so I'm hoping someone can help me sort out what should be a really simple problem.

I’m building my hi res music collection and am wondering if it’s worth the pursue 24bit/96khz quality. Currently Sonos can support up to 24bit/48kHz. However, with the release of S2, people are saying S2 shows the possibility of hi res music support.   Is Sonos planning to support higher khz with S2?

Hello,I had a playbar, several ones, a sub and a ZP100. All running via S1 app. Just purchased an arc, which required move to S2. The ZP100, as expected, is dropped from the S2 system. The ZP100 is also dropped from my system list shown against online account. The problem is that I would like to (a) continue to use the ZP100 and/or (b) claim the trade up discount. Wrt (a) ive reset S1 app which allows option to creating a new system, despite many attempts including factory reset  ZP100, the s1 app doesn’t find it - any ideas? Btw, ZP100 had latest firmware, ethernet cable connected, has white / orange flashing status light on power up for a few seconds, then moves to flashing green mute button.  Wrt (b) it appears that to claim online the trade up discount, your product must appear in your system list, which it doesn't. Im guessing that solving (a) above would solve this too? any help really appreciated. thanks. 

I was using the S1 app up until two days ago. I have upgraded to S2 app and initially it worked after a few teething problems connecting. As of this evening I cannot connect at all. The Play:3 will not connect to the router nor can I see the elusive ‘Sonos has created a wifi network for you to connect to’. I have literally tried everything and have resorted to completely resetting the Play:3 as if I were selling it nd still it will not connect.    I can see all the devices connected using the router portal and have reset the portal also.    I’m kicking myself for upgrading TBH. I wish I’d have just stayed on the S1 as this worked without issue. I’m about half a bottle of wine away from listing it on eBay and buying another Alexa Studio!    I’ve followed every guide on the Sonos site, every google result and every router help forum. I’m done. BTW, I am tech savvy and work in the network industry.    Can anyone help?

Following the latest Sonos update, my Playbase no longer appears on my Sonos system through WIFI. All other speakers on my system appear and work like before. The playbase has been moved around to try and fix the issue but this has not helped. I,ve rebooted and actually set a factory default on the Playbase. The Playbase appears on the Sonos system when it is hardwired with an ethernet cable and works as it should. When I unplugged the cable the Playbase disappear s from my system, plug it back in and it reappears.  I need help in solving this new issue. Thx

Just added Sonos Amp, and trying to add (2) Play:1s as surrounds. Tried multiple ways to to set up surrounds, but failed. Background: I have 4 Sonos; (1) Amp, (1) Play: 5 Gen 2, (2) Play:1s.  Amp is hardwired, WM0. Rest are on wifi, WM1. Have (3) Google wifi’s around my house   What I tried: tried adding Play:1s as surrounds (with solid white light), wireless, failed. hard reset both Play:1s, and set up as surrounds (with blinking green lights), wireless, failed. hardwired one Play:1, and set up both as surrounds (with blinking green lights). The other Play:1 was wireless. I confirmed  both play:1’s are working together with Amp as surrounds. (I read subs and surrounds need to be on WM2, but when I checked, they were both on WM0.) I unplugged both play:1s and relocated them to correct locations wireless. No sound. They changed back to WM1 and can see them on Google Wifi, but no sound.  Both need to be in the back of living room as surrounds, and I can’t have them wired because AMP, TV,

I have a Sonos SL and a new Beam in adjoining rooms. The Beam is connected to a TV via audio return channel.  In the app, I group the Beam with the SL, and for the Beam I enable TV Autoplay, and enable Ungroup on AutoPlay.I turn on the TV, but the Beam does not Ungroup. I’ve powered off and on the Beam and SL - no change.How can I fix?(If helpful, diagnostics 197345318) 

I’m just about at my wits end here.  I recently installed a Deco M5 mesh system in my home.  Great wi-fi coverage - but it’s practically killed my Sonos system - 3 Play 1s and 2 Ones.  So I’ve been reading about the issues, and have decided to try to create a separate SonosNet system. Here is my configuration -ISP supplied Modem/Router (with wifi turned off); wired to Deco M5 (in Router mode); wired to 5 port switch connected to one of the other Deco M5s for a backhaul channel and the Sonos One speakerThe Sonos One shows up just fine - with WM 0 in the description.   It’s when I try to add my other speakers into the mix that I run into problems.  I add the first one, and it shows up with WM 1 in the description - connected to the wi-fi network instead of the SonosNet.  I turn off the 2.4Gh wireless on the Deco, and it won’t connect to the second speaker at all, it’s only about 15 ft away from the Sonos One.  I haven’t tried my luck with any of the other speakers yet, but will shortly a

Hello Community, I started as Sonos customer with 2 play 5 Gen 2 one year and a half ago, short after I’ve added a Sub (gen2)  to my setup. This is for me the best audio experienced I’ve ever had in my live wile streaming through Tidal or Spotify. The one thing I was missing was good sound for my Tv, so i've linked one of the two Gen's 2 through an Aux wire and as you can expect from an Aux wire in some good recorded movies the sound was good but in a lot of other movies it was just awful to listen to (like a Star is born as example). Last week I received my Sonos Arc, and started trying the following setup.  Sonos arc use only, this is awesome but I was really missing the ‘punch’ of the sub and the wide sound effect I had with the play 5's.  Sonos Arc with sub, awesome punch,breath taking clear voices but yes, still missing the ‘wide stage effect’ Sonos Arc with sub and Play 5 as surround speakers, actually not that good, in my short living room this was just overkill and I really was

Hii have a weird issue with Apple Music on a Sonos OneI’ve just got an eero mesh network and reset everything. Apple Music is linked and set as default, as is Alexa all synced nicely and can play from Sonos 2 app but when I say “Alex play x” it responds and says “playing x on Apple Music” but it doesn’t play anything. When using airplay through Sonos Alexa won’t pause/skip tracks etc…any help gratefully received. Thanks 

I’m planning to set up an amp with four speakers--two sonance outdoor speakers and two previously installed ceiling mount outdoor speakers (this is replacing an older generation amp that does not support S2).  How can I make sure the volume level between the four will balance? Thanks!

I need advice for getting Sonos surround sound.  I am interested in buying an ARC and would like to run 2 two Sonos 1’s as my rear speakers.  I know with older S1’s you need the connect.  Is the same true of the Gen 3’s?  I am also thinking I may need/want to get a new tv which would likely have Bluetooth connectivity.  Is that the best way to connect to surround sound?Thanks.

Often it won’t connect, sometimes it will play but then we can’t stop or alter volume. (It works perfectly in all other ways.) The other iPad, when tried, works perfectly! How do I fix this? HiI have recently bought a Sonos Arc and a Sony XG950 (KD75XG9505BU), and I cannot get any sound through the Sonos Arc.I have seen people comment on Atmos problems, and cutting out, but I am getting nothing!After the first failure, and several attempts at changing settings in the TV, I have now removed all HDMI inputs, factory reset both TV and Arc; Started TV, Started Arc, installed HDMI cable, and still nothing.I can see that the Arc is “recognising” the TV. The app shows TV input, but no sound.(The TV is of course set to Audio System for audio out).I have tried setting up the TV using the app, and it gets to stage 2 - after recognising the eArc connection it then during the “Test connection” stage, the error message is “Audio System not connected”.I have tried all options on the Sony TV audio out menu… changing to bitstream, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus… I have tried with different HDMI inputs, as well as the in-built apps.And I have now tried everything on a different HDMI cab

Apple has done a major update to the Apple Music App interface. Will Sonos be updating the interface in the Sonos S2 app to match? Thanks.
