Upon upgrading to S2 I learned one of my play 5 Sonos speakers is incompatible.  So I reverted to S1.  Reset all speakers, got 4 of 5 speakers back.  Easy enough. however, whenever I try to reconnect my Sonos Connect, S1 can’t find it.  More so, after an attempt To reconnect S1 loses the other 4 speakers and can’t find Sonos on my network AT ALL.   this is easily fixed too; connecting any other speaker by Ethernet quickly finds the 4 “lost” speakers.  But I still can’t reconnect the connect!  I’ve tried resetting it multiple times, locating it via Wi-Fi and Ethernet.  All attempts result in S1 “losing” the whole system.Any ideas?

I am looking at Sonos speakers. The Web site lists numerous music services that play via Sonos speakers. I current am in trials at Amazon HD and Apple Music. I have not been able to ‘get’ whether music on Sonos must stream from my iphone to the speaker or if my phone (or voice commands) simply tell the speaker to stream directly from the music service. Can someone enlighten me? 

I have a Samsung Serif tv, the Sonos Beam started dropping out and the first sign of a problem was tv volume control did not work with Netflix. Now the Beam does not work with the tv at all, all volume is coming out of the TV audio. The Beam does work if streaming music, but not with the TV. I have it connected with a HDMI cable. Any suggestions?

i have a new sonus beam connected via hdmi-arc to a lgcs tv. the two sonus one's i added and now a sub are registered as in the same (living)  room. but only the beam is outputting sound. the beam is listed as WM:1 and the others as WM: 2. what's wrong? thanks.

Morning all.I have a very simple set up : NAS > Sonos Connect > Amp.All has been working well for a few years, however, recently I have noticed some crackling/distortion during bass heavy instrumental passages.I have checked via headphones, replaced the speakers, changed the amp and the distortion is still there,  hence why I suspect the source of the distortion is the Connect device.Unfortunately my amp does not have a optical/digital input, so I am using RCA connectors.The distortion is only obvious on very specific types of music, the rest of the time things sound fine - hence why I am confused as to what’s the cause.I can drastically reduce the distortion by reducing the volume via the Sonos app.It’s as if recently there is almost too much volume being pushed through the Connect.Is there anything else I can check, or, does this mean that my Connect is now damaged (the DAC has ‘blown’?), and the only solution is to upgrade to a Port ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciat

Hi, I have a Beam connected to my tv, a Sonos amp, 2 passive Speakers and a turntable connected to the amp. I want to use this setup as a 4.0 surround sound system for my tv and I want to use all speakers to play music from my turntable. I can configure the system to play 4.0 surround sound but than the line in disappears in the app. And I can unpair the surround speakers, create a separated room for the amp with the passive speakers and group it with the beam to play the turntables on all speakers. So I’m basically able to do all what I want to do but not without reconfiguring the hole system every time. Please help ;)

I am a long time Sonos user.  I have numerous Sonos products in two homes.  It has worked beautifully until this week (4/27/20).  On 4/27-4/28/20, my IOS app could not find the Sonos network and kept showing the message System Not Found.  I tried rebooting devices, downloading updated app, even called Verizon to inquire if they had updated any router settings recently.  No luck.  I called SonosTech Support and the tech was very helpful.  We eventually got the app running by connecting a Play1 directly to my router with a data cable.  Rooms began appearing and then I lost the phone connection!!  However, the Sonos network again became unstable and many devices simply would not appear in Rooms and some that did would not play.  Later, after reading about the Legacy S1 products and the impending upgrade, I decided to unplug all of my S1 products which were five Connect-Amps.  Miraculously, the Sonos network came right back and Rooms once again appeared.  It has been stable for 24 hours an

I just got my Move today and since I don't own an Iphone, I was wondering if there is any way I could use the mics from the Sonos Move to calibrate my Sonos Arc surround system?

When connecting a directional hdmi cable between the tv’s eArc port and the Sonos Arc, which direction should the arrow go? Towards the tv or towards the arc? My first thought was that the sound goes from the tv to the arc, but someone told me the opposite. Just looking for clarification. Thanks.

I have a beam, sub and 2 ones setup in a surround sound setup for my TV. It works great for movies and for playing music directly through sonos. The issue I am having is that I watch a lot of music videos on my TV. When listing to music I use the 'full' rather than using the surrounds for ambiant effects. I would love to be able to get something for similar when playing music through my TV.

Hii have a turntable, connected to a pre amp, which is connected to my Technics stereo with CD player which is connected to the Port. I have just purchased the Port and can play CD’s but cannot seem to hear the records on the turntable. Can anyone suggest what I’m doing wrong please? thanks

Does the Sonos Five need to be wired or can it stream that quality wireless as well?I have a 100mb broadband speed so not a problem.Looking forward to your answers.

Hi, Just bought a Sonos Beam 2 weeks ago and I still don't manage to connect from the Spotify app. I can see the Sonos Beam in Spotify listed as device available but when I click on it, it displays "Connecting..." and nothing happens. I called the Sonos support submitted the diagnostic report but they did not manage to find out the issue until now. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem? I am just thinking to return it and ask for a refund. It just sounds like a big joke to me for the price we pay to have a so painfull experience of hours and hours just to connect from a phone whereas it takes just some seconds to connect in bluetooth with the cheapest speaker. Stephen

excuse the typo in the subject...can’t seem to edit it...but you know what I meant to write! I’ve had a Sonos Beam for ages working happily on 2 Samsung TVs. I’ve recently got a new LG CX. Sound was fine for one week (connected through ARC) but yesterday morning I got up and the sound is no longer working from the tv. Sound when played through the S2 app is fine so it’s purely a tv connection issue. Tried new HDMI cable, tried unplugging and plugging in again. Factory reset as well but no change. Every time I try and connect to the tv through the app it fails saying the ARC isn’t available.  on the tv this sort of symbol comes up when I switch to HDMI ARC.   hope someone can help..

I have a Sonos Playbar approx 3 years old, is it possible to connect this to a peleton bike?

My Playbase is not working properly (as part of a system with multiple Sonos devices connected to Wi-Fi where everything was fine). First, it disappeared from the S2 app. I was only able to add it back to the app by plugging it in to Ethernet. But it won’t add back to my Wi-Fi network no matter how many times I try to do this. It disappears from the app as soon as I unplug the Ethernet. I just submitted diagnostic code 2022648469 - thanks!

hey guys,  you know, this wouldn’t be an issue if I have a TV cos it’s a no-brainer. But now I have the abovementioned devices and I need advice before I splash some money to buy a device that would make it work. My monitor has 3 HDMI ports. Nintendo Switch dock has one HDMI port and Sonos Beam has one HDMI port.  Connecting Nintendo Switch to Monitor would only generate visual, no audio. Very doubtful that HDMI through Sonos to Monitor would have changed that. So I didn’t try. So what are my options? Thanks guys!

Hi folks, I’ve been reading a bit and i’m seeing mixed messages.  Here’s my situation:  I have a current hard-wried 4.1 system in my living room.  My home is an open floor plan with the living room, kitchen, eat-in and formal dining all “open” on the main floor.  I want to add some sonos 1’s around these auxiliary areas to have music spread across the space.  I first tried a Port to my existing AVR, but had sync issues (grossss)….  So now I’m wondering how to solve for my TV/Living area… options I’m considering:2x AMPs with my existing bookshelf speakers & in-ceiling speakers/sub to run a 4.1 setup in the living room If possible, could I replace my existing bookshelves with 5’s and use 1 AMP to power the in-ceilings for a 4.1 setup… (not sure if this would work.) Some other idea?  I don’t like the idea of wasting/not utilizing my built in ceiling speakers… To cut this off at the pass, I can’t / wife won’t do any form of sound bar, so that’s out of the question here. Open to ideas.

Hi there,I'm aware this issue has been kicking around for a long time but found no case-specific to Philips TV'sWhen in 5.1 modes the audio is slightly behind the video.I'm using an Amazon Firestick 4K, and when I put it stereo it's perfect, but without 5.1 there is a slight delay that really bugs me!The setup is:Beam, Sub, 2 x Play:1 Phillips Ambilight 55PUS7394/12.I set the Firestick to 'Always Dolby Digital' and the TV to 'multichannel.'I've attempted all the other configurations 'multichannel bypass' on the TV etc., but they have the same issue, often worse though. Same issue with Netflix, amazon prime, iPlayer and the rest. ​​​​​​So frustrating! A lot of cash to put down for something that doesn't work!Anyone else had a he same issue?Chris
