Hi!As others, I had the pleasure of waking up to loud music at around 1.15 in the middle of last night, as one of our Play:1 started playing music. It was something we listened to a couple of weeks ago, and haven’t been using the speaker since.i just ran a diagnostic, but unfortunately I didn’t know about the feature last night. Is there someone who can help me look into what happened?I unplugged the speaker to make sure it didn’t happen again. My diagnostic number: 2094442993

HeyI have trouble with my Playbar and sub when I listen to music from the radio station, the Playbar when out for some second and get back again.I have 5 play 1 and one Playbar + sub the play 1 are in each rum and there are no problems and the Playbar + sub is in my living rum and the Playbar+ sub is connected to my TV via fiberoptics cable and it’s worksAll my Sonos are connected to WIFI via TP-Link deco M5 and in the living rum the Playbar + sub is connected with cable from deco M5 unit.

Hi I have managed to find the lengths of the power cable (2m) and HDMI cable (1.5m) off the forum, thanks, why is the HDMI not the same length as the power cable, they travel the same distance TV to BEAM???? However is the UK plug moulded ? I like many will try and feed this up (string trick) a conduit in the wall, it would be handy to have a removal plug system on the end so can be fed either way, i.e down  Finally sold the PLAYBAR so moving to a BEAM.Another question, anyone have the BEAM slung under a wall mounted TV, any recommendations. Whats the sound like give it is not on a solid base - rattly sound ?  thanks

I current have a 5.1 system in my media room w/ a HarmonKardon AVR receiver, Klispsh speakers: two front standing, two in-ceiling surrounds, a sub and a center channel. It’s a TCL TV w/ an hdmi/arc port. Off the receiver hangs a Wii, DVD player and record player. My question: While really only wanting to keep the TV and front standing speakers (and perhaps the HarmonKardon to enable the auxiliaries) would Sonos amp (or Port?) along w/ an Arc (to replace the center, two Architecture in-ceilings, and a Sub allow me to still get 5.1 fm the TV and DVD player?

Just sold my PLAYBAR…Now trying to decide if I should replace with BEAM or ARC. Have many Sonos products including two PLAY3s we used as rear speakers with the old PLAYBAR.TV is a Samsung 2018 49" Q6F QLED 4K Ultra HD (QE49Q6FNATXXU) with HDMI ARC but no eARC, so ARC could sit underneath TV at 1140mm long.So question is it really worth it ? and will it actually work with an HDMI ARC rather than eARC and give all the Dolby Atmos benefits as there is a big difference between BEAM & ARC

Hi community, In the last days/weeks (wasn’t home for holidays, can’t tell when it exactly started), my usual alarm using Spotify playlist “wake up and smell the coffee” (about 100 songs I would say) doesn’t start and instead chime alarm runs.when I take the Sonos app on the phone and start the exact same playlist, music starts normally. Based on previous posts, I can exclude the internet connection problems, I checked it,  the Spotify account is premium and the playlist is official Spotify with not too much songs. I’ll continue my investigation but if someone has ideas, feel free to share.best regardsdavid

Hi,I am wanting to add a pair of in-ceiling speakers to a Stratco gazebo roof, this area will not get wet but will be exposed to Melbourne weather.  The roof itself is insulated so the speakers should remain cool in summer. I know Sonos make a outdoor speaker but I prefer the look of the in-ceiling speaker.  The Sonos site does not recommend in-ceiling speakers outside but I thought because they aren’t directly in the rain & heat this still might be ok? Thank you.

I purchases a classical concerto album from itunes that has 7 tracks - the first concerto has 4 tracks, and the second concerto has 3. When I update my music library on Sonos, I get 4 tracks: movements 1, 2 & 4 of the first concerto, and movement 3 from the second. From reading the support topics, it looks like either the whole album gets imported, or none of it does. How can I get all seven tracks into Sonos?

I set up a Playbar in our barn as part of a home theater system.  (The rec room is down there, so, no, it’s not for pigs or cows in the barn!)  I remember going through the room with my phone to help the Playbar read the room and set things up.  For various reasons, I may be replace the Playbar with an Arc.  That would mean I could sell the Playbar or move it into my study. The issue with my study is that I have 3-4 different places where I’m sitting and would be listening to music or watching movies on the sofa.  Is it possible to create some kind of profile for the Playbar for each of the locations I’ll be sitting in, so I can switch from one to the other, depending on where I’m sitting?

I have pre-wire for 5 in ceiling speakers.  Is it possible to use 5 sonos in ceiling speakers and use my existing sonos subwoofer for a 5.1 setup?  I have a playbar, but l’d rather not use it as it forces my tv to be too high above our fireplace mantle.  If so, outside of the 5 sonos in ceiling speakers and the sub, what else is needed to get it all operational?  Thanks for the help!

What do I need to get going. I want it all to be wireless as possible, but I can’t really find anything saying look here’s what you need. Do I need some kinda or Sonos connect or Sonos amp thing? I have Sonos play speakers and a sound bar. I don’t want to hook it up to a receiver, I have a small preamp if I have to use that.

Recently I am unable to play my Apple Music personal radio station (Adam’s Station). When I click on it I get an error that says We’ve run into a problem Pleast Try again. Every thing else from Apple Music plays fine, even other radio stations. The radio station plays fine if I play it from IOS devices as well. I have tried restarting my songs, resetting the controller, and unlinking and relinking Apple Music, but nothing seems to help. Anyone else having this issue?

I’m having problems with my play ones audio kicking out and sometimes the audio sound as if it is coming from a tin can.  (mostly listening to internet talk radio).  I’m wondering if it is because of how I have it set up.   Also the audio sounds much better if I stream via the TV app (YouTube TV) vs playing through the apple tv app Youtube TV.  Right now watching TV I have no audio from my play 1’s.Apple TV 4KLG smart TVBoost- ethernet to Linksys velop router not spectrum modemPlaybar-,ethernet connected to boost.  Optic fiber to TVSub  and 2 play 1’s wifi on sonos boost.I turned off trueplay  because it makes it worse.Music playback fullI’ve considered disabling the whole system and start over,  I don’t think I’m getting the great sonos audio.  I realize this is not a real 5:1 but I expected better audio quality.

Setup: 4 old Play3s running S2 software. Added Spotify premium account to Sonos. Choosing Spotify as source for room 1: works.pause stream, choose Spotify as source for room 2: Spotify blocks connection. Now, connection is not possible for both rooms anymore. I have to select another source for room 1, reauth, and maybe then it works again.similar when starting Spotify from app controller on phone 1, then do changes from controller on phone 2: Spotify is blocked.i thought there is just one connection from Sonos to Spotify and no matter which controller is used, it’s referring to this one connection. But obviously sonos can’t handle this… now how does this work? How many connections are made from Sonos to Spotify when using multiple rooms (not simultaneously!, just one active stream at a time) or using multiple controllers? In S1 I did not encounter such issues. Thanks for any hints!

I already have a Sonos system with a Playbar, Sub & 2 x Play:3s, and I’m looking at adding my old turntable & CD player. It looks like my best options are the Amp or getting a second hand Connect:Amp online. And Amp would be about three times the cost, what would I be missing out on if I went for the older options? I seem to remember reading a conversation that for some reason I might even be better off with a connect:amp but can’t find it or work out why that would be?

After a Router change I followed the instructions to reconnect my Sonos system, connecting one of my 5 devices to the router with an ethernet cable, ticking the ‘more than 1 device’ box. However only that one device is now working, the others aren't showing in my system on the app. I have rebooted them all, gone back to the app checked settings, networks, but then don't get the ‘wireless setup’ just the name of the network in use. Trying the ‘add device’ route doesn't work as it doesn't pick up the devices even though I am next to them.Any ideas how I restore the rest of my devices to the system please?

Newbie and can’t seem to find the answer, but if I connect a turntable to port, can I stream that output then to the Arc and a sub?

I have a Spotify premium family plan and until recently all my devices were able to connect to my Sonos players via Spotify Connect. Now my wife’s phone (iPhone 12 Pro running latest iOS and Spotify app versions) can see my Sonos devices but will not connect once we select one. My phone is fine however.  Any ideas?

I am wanting to set a sonos sub up in a room where i have ceiling speaker connected to a sonos Amp. The Amp is in a closet where I have a “home run” setup.  It seems the Sub is too far from the AMP to get a signal from it in the room, I can move it to a different room, closer to the Amp and it will work.   Evidently the sub talks directly to whatever its paired to and not separately like other sonos speakers.   Is there any way to get a better signal to the Sub?  current setup is WM:1   thx

I’ve been using Plex with Sonos for a while, and after the time it took to get everything set up I’m loath to change it, but I’m looking for something that doesn’t need to be online to work.Yes, Plex can be configured to work just on the local network, but it’s not how the product is built and isn’t the most reliable of changes.

Can anyone explain to me how you can search for genres on YouTube Music? It was simple on Google Music but seems to me missing in the YouTube Sonos app.

Hi, I’ve performed a few reboots and a single factory reset on my beam today as the Google Assistant stopped working this morning and was not able to connect to the network for some reason, the beam also seems to disappear from the Sonos App - not sure why. All other devices can connect (and remain connected to the internet) and my Sonos One (Gen2) continues to work with Google Assistant enabled. I’ve tried rebooting the router already as well as unlinking the Sonos devices from google assistant. Every time I try to add a voice assistant to the Beam it would go through to try open up the google assistant app and then finally error out with “There was a problem adding Google Assistant”. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone, Thanks in advance for your help. I had a bit of a roller-coaster day today. Google Assistant stopped working on the beam but it was still able to play audio from the TV etc. but sonos radio wouldnt work. I could see there was activity on the router from the beam onto the net so was sure it was connected. I thought at first it must be me trying to spam Google Assistant too much today with my testing so they blocked me so I left it alone for a few hours and came back and it was still saying “Sorry I cant reach the internet right now” - strange!. I rebooted the system a few times and always ending up with the same issue - my other sonos devices (sonos one gen2) on the same network had no issues. So, I decided to do a factory reset on the beam to see if it’ll help. Unfortunately, now it’s coming up on the sonos app as “Not Registered” and when I try to register it just sits there and finally fails. I can see on the sonos website under “systems” the beam is marked as “offline”

YouTube music took over Google play music which I have used for several years on my Sonos systems. The YouTube music Sonos app is just terrible. When you search for an artist there is no list of top songs, there are individual albums, often with one single song under each album.  There are songs by that artist listed under "songs" that aren't listed under the artist, so the songs are in YouTube music they're just not showing up on the search by artist function. For example, search for “Darlene Love” and several albums show up under “artists”, but not all her songs- you can go to the “songs” tab, and two other songs show up that aren't under “artists”. It’s ridiculous that simple searching doesn’t work.  There are no YouTube music “Stations” or “Genres”. You can't create a radio station based on a song. There is no genre searching. There are  very few playlists from the YouTube music. If you search for Christmas music, nothing comes up even though they have a million stations on the desk

HiI think this LPCM update just completely screwed me up with my small collection of blurays with DTS. I have an LG CX that cannot passthrough DTS I play my blurays on an oppo203 player, before the update I would get stereo 2.0 with its blurays, player was set to bitstream. Since new update I cannot get any audio at all, I tried all the audio settings on the 203, Bitstream, auto and LPCM.I don’t understand where the issue lies.
