I have two Beam units connected to Two LG OS TVs  they have worked faultlessly for two years connected to the HDMI(ARC) inputs alongside the HDMI input from a SKY+ box then along came Sonos 2. I have spent the last 3 weeks using every combination of set up routine reading all the forums and some common sense and have ended up using the Optical adapter which is acceptable up to a point and that point is... why should I have too ?,What have the Sonos engineers changed that has caused this?  The System will work with the Beam in the ARC  socket completely without fault with the TV recieving terrestial TV signals from the antenna socket and no other HDMI connection used.Next stage ..as soon as you switch to HDMI 1 the sound either mutes or defaults to internal speakersEmtering the TV setup and selecting HDMI(ARC) out has no effect as the beam looses the conection, open the APP and try to re connect the unit has no effect as it contunually reports no  connection  or  another HDMI signal is

Hi, everyone. I got my SONOS system in IKEA, and it works perfectly. I was just wondering what are the odds for us in Serbia to get Google Assistant services? Thank you!

Hi. I have just moved house and seriously thinking of extending my current two play3s into a house wide setup with two 5s in the lounge, the 3s in the dining room and 1s in the kitchen and bedroom. Trying to ascertain if I could gain improvement to music quality by using a dedicated streamer/amp/DAC of some description rather than using my pc?If you could offer advice that would be appreciated. Cheers.

I have 8 Sonos AMP, 1 Sonos Playbar, and 1 Sonos Move. The AMPs and the Playbar are connected to a Sonos Bridge, which is itself hardwired to the router. In the Alexa mobile app, the 8 AMP each have a duplicate entry of the form “[AMP name] TV”This is creating confusion for Alexa voice control.Deleting the duplicate “TV” devices from the Alexa mobile app works for a period of time, but they later reappear.Powering down everything and rebooting everything does not help. The duplicate devices reappear.[Disabling the devices in Alexa doesn't seem to solve the confusion issue, but I recognize that’s not a Sonos issue and not a topic for this forum,]I would like to not have the diupliate entries in the Alexa app.Ideas?

I'm finishing my basement and don't want to have Echos and Sonos speakers everywhere. The Sonos One speakers are great because they have microphones and Alexa built in. Do the ceiling speakers or wall speakers have this same capability? I only see the app and airplay as controls (which is weak).

Could anyone help me please. In December I placed an order for a set of Sonos Five, 1 beam, 1 boost, and 6 Sonos Move. They sent me everything but the six Sonos Move, saying there were credit card problems and they couldn't process my payment and that my order had been canceled. They asked me to please place a new order. On January 21 I placed a new order for 6 Sonos Move and they said  would be  deliver it by the end of February. Now I see that both orders are "processing" meaning they did not cancel the first purchase. I only need six and not 12 Sonos Move and I have no idea when they will ship the six I need.  can someone help me to see what i have to do?

My copy of the iOS iPad app no longer has a “Playlists” category on the My Sonos screen. Is anybody else having that issue? I can’t figure out how to fix it. My playlists are still showing up in the iPhone app, and on iPad I can still add songs to my playlists. I just can’t access them.Note that these are not imported playlists. There were created via the Sonos iPad app.

Hi, I am interested in purchasing a Sonos Move to have as a second Bluetooth speaker in my home. I already own an Anker Soundcore 2. What I am wondering is, will I be able to play an audiobook for my son (from my phone) on the Anker bluetooth speaker while simultaneously playing music for myself in the next room on the Sonos Move (also from my phone)? Thanks!

I’ve been scratching my head for some time now. Let me explain.I got my Arc and Sub g3 earlier this week, paired them with my two One SL’s. No issues at all. Everything smooth and it sounds really great. The arc is connected to my Sony XH95 with the Hdmi cable that came with the arc. And, this is the interesting thing, both Amazon Prime and Apple TV+ is working perfect and i get amazing Dolby Atmos sound with the built in apps in my Sony tv.But the built in Disney+ app is only showing Dolby digital 5.1. I have checked that everything is up and running with the latest downloads/firmware and whatnot, i have searched the worlds widest web for answers and tried some different things like resetting the tv, uninstalled Disney+, pulled all the cables out and put them back in again.Amazon Prime and Appletv+ is still giving me Dolby Atmos. But Disney+ is not.I am sort out of ideas here. Anyone else here with the same issue that have any tips or tricks down their sleeve? Any help would be much ap

Hi,Is it possible to add/import a sonos playlist into spotify ?Thanks for your helpGuy-pierre

I just recently got my Sonos Arc to complete my setup. My current Setup is a wall mounted Sony A9G ,Sonos 1 (2x), Gen 3 Sub and Sonos Arc.I tried to google what streaming services support Arc so i can see what this Sonos Arc can really do. I found some movies on (Netflix, Disney Plus) but I don’t see “Dolby Atmos” on my app. So maybe i’m doing something wrong? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.  From some vids I found in YT I “should” be seeing “dobly atmos’ in my app.

Hi, I know that a lot of folks have been asking about this so I apologize for adding to the chorus but I’m trying to set up a Beam on a TV that doesn’t have HDMI ARC or an optical output. I’ve read a few different posts and seen a few different solutions so I’m hoping to get some clarity. I’ve seen some folks recommend an HDMI switch device like the Monoprice. I’ve seen other folks recommend a coax to optical cable. Attached are pictures of what I’m working with for my TV. Pictures include a picture of what my TV has for audio outs and another picture of the audio outs as it is currently set up (currently have a cable box going into the tv as well as an Apple TV). For whatever it’s worth my TV is a RCA 42pa30rq. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! Nick

Hi there, never done this before but here we go.I’ve got my play ones, awesome.I am wanting to make up a system for my TV.I love the Fives and would love them in stereo for my TV(tv does not have line out).I was thinking of having a beam as the middle man between the tv and the fives.(The beam essentially acting as a center speaker). With the fives either side of the beam.Is this possible?

Hello I have Philips PUS8503, made in 2018 + Sonos ARC soundbar connected via HDMI arc to the TV.Also i have Ausus ROG laptop with full desktop edition Nvidia RTX 2060 in it. My question is, how do i properly connect my LAPTOP to TV, so that LAPTOP gives ATMOS sound TO TV and THEN TO SONOS ARC? The main problem is that laptop and Sonos ARC has 1HDMI port, so if i conncet arc directly to PC there is no another HDMI port on laptop to conect it to the tv. Only option how i see it working is: Both- sonos arc and laptop plugged in TV ARC ports (HDMI 1 for Sonos and HDMI 2 for laptop), but when i tried to play Mandalorian episode DD+ atmos codec from my laptop, sonos app just showed simple 5.1 format. All 3 components of this problem supports ATMOS CODECS ( RTX even supports ATMOS TRUE HD).

Student code not working now on pre orders was this morning any ideas why ?ThanksAndy

Hello, I have a troublesome Connect Gen2 that somehow can’t stay connected to my network for more than a few minutes. It doesn’t matter if it’s connected via WiFi or Ethernet, it always ends up disconnecting. I can sometimes get it back by rebooting it, others I need to factory reset. All my other Sonos products have a rock solid connection via WiFi.I’ve browsed through different other topics but couldn’t find any solution that worked. Is it possible that the device is actually dead, even though still “very partially” working ? Here are a couple of red flags I noticed while troubleshooting:The factory reset is hit and miss. Usually have to try up to 5 or 6 times to get it to end on the green status led. Most other attempts just blink amber/white 3 or 4 times then turn solid or blinking white again. After it stops working, I often still see it listed in the app, but when browsing the “About my system” tab it only shows its name and no other network details like for my other functioning d

Well the problems continue.I went from the arc not working properly on the optical outlet on the TV, as the TV's book never mentioned that it actually has an arc hdmi outlet.Fortunately someone on this forum pointed out that it had, so I swapped over, and hey presto, joy at long last, it was working, that did not last.I am back to the thing turning itself off if I channel surf, and quite often if I mute it.Hitting the button on the top sometimes doesn't even turn it back on, so it's back to getting the phone accessing the app blah blah blah.I think this product should be recalled.

The Alexa voice assistant works fine to turn on the radio on my Sonos but it doesn’t work to turn off the radio so I have to turn it off by the plug - anyone else have this problem? - I’ve tried removing Alexa & adding it again but the problem persists

HiI have 4 Sonos system in my house.Play5 (gen2)2x OneArcSince purchasing the latest Play One, the Sonosnet seems unstable. It is the second time now that all systems leave the network and can’t connect to wifi, except for the newest Play One which stays on the network. All are fairly near the router as I live in a small condo. In fact, when I try to connect the dropped system to my WiFi, they successfully get the password prompt, but entering the correct password leads to an “error, cannot connect”.Here is the latest diagnostic report #: 1097299673Thank You

I’d like to buy a sub and place it under my sofa (my wife wants it hidden) but I’ve measured and while it will fit, it will be pressed up against the fabric of the bottom of the sofa. There will be no air between the sub and the furniture or floor. Can anyone inform if this would negatively impact the quality of the sound I’d get?

I currently have a playbar and two rear surrounds and sub.  At times I move my two rears to full music playback when entertaining.  I recently moved my main TV to Apple TV as playing my itunes on the tv with lyrics is a pretty cool feature.  However, since the system is routed through the TV I can only use ambient mode for the rears which really lessens the experience.  My questions are….Is there a work around here? If I upgrad to the ARC does the work around options make more sense?  Thank you

Hello -I’m having some problems with the picture on my TV and my Sonos ARC (Plus two SL’s in back of the room). First of all, here is my set up. TV: Visio V Series (purchased in December 2019). My TV connects wirelessly to the internet, as does my Apple TV and my Nintendo Switch).I have 3 HDMI inputs in my TV, which are summarized as follows:HDMI 1 (ARC): My Sonos ARC SoundbarHDMI 2: My Cable box (Xfinity, if that matters)HDMI 3: I have an HDMI Switch plugged into this, which includes a Blu Ray Player, Nintendo Switch, and my 4K Apple TV The problem is that when I am watching cable or watching anything on my Apple TV, the screen goes black for a moment (anywhere from 2-4 seconds) before it resumes play. Sometimes, it will be hours before this happens, and other times, this will occur 3-4 times per hour. I *sometimes* will get a message after one of these blackouts that my TV has “found” the audio system (but not all the time). The unusual thing is that this NEVER happens when I am play

I have 4 Amps connected in a wired ethernet daisy chain, which are then connected to a 24-port GE switch, which is in turn connected to my router.  All four have static IP Addresses, appear in the router’s client list, and show up in “my system” as online when logged into sonos.com via a browser.  Wireless on all 4 is disabled.  However, each one at some point will disappear from the app. I can tell when it’s about to happen.  When attempting to start music via Spotify in a room, if it doesn’t start playing right away, it will hang there for a while, throwing the “selected song cannot be played at this time” error before finally disappearing altogether.  I can only have it rejoin the system by power cycling the affected Amp, which is not totally simple as they’re in a rack.  This has been happening since install 2 years ago and I’m losing hope that there will be a software fix.

Can I send a chromecast to and HDMI splitter that routes to the TV and Sonos Beam?  if so, is there any special setup?

Should I leave my Sonos Move on the charging ring permanently, or will this damage the battery?
