I have a simple setup in a small room - Play 5 connected directly to a Teac TN-300 turntable (AT 95e cart and integrated pre-amp).  I’m upgrading my turntable and don’t know whether it will make much difference to get a stand alone pre-amp.  While I like the Play 5, this is certainly no audiophile setup, so I’m not sure I would realize enough benefit in sound quality going with a standalone to offset the convenience of an integrated pre-amp.  Have any of you experimented with this?

Hello Sonos family,Today I've bought Sonos Five speaker and right after unboxing I saw two strange things at the front. You can see it here:https://imgur.com/a/LNAFwQXIs it normal look of these speakers? Should I do something to make it disappear?

I have a large collection of live music.  Currently it is stored on the hard drive of a windows desktop pc, backed up on an external hard drive).  I am due for a new computer that functions as my stereo, and I have been slowly moving off windows, so I may upgrade to Ubuntu for the next generation of computer that stores/plays music in my house.  But that isn’t my question (but if Ubuntu is a bad idea, feel free to tell me)….I am in the market for some wireless speakers.  I want to be able to play a playlist (which is a concert) that is currently stored on a hard drive on a computer in my office.  Ideally, I’d be able to play whatever concert I wanted in one or more rooms in the house.  Bonus points- I also need a nice sound system for the TV.  If the same speakers can play music from the computer OR play sound from the the tv in the living room, that’s pretty much my perfect setup.  And then I could get another speaker for the kitchen (we need music when we cook), and maybe an indoor/o

Is there a way to copy sonos playlist from S1 setup to S2? I am running a dual setup in my house and I have playlists from S1 that I would like to bring over to S2.

Hello, i have one Sonos Five that is approx one year.it is not working and the led is pulsating whiteand no matter what i have done changes this. i have tried :power it off/on with a minute pause in betweenand still same and not visible in app nor searchabletested with and without ethernet cable with above actions. No luck.  in the end i did bite the bullet and tried factory reset even if it is not adviced by Sonos rep but as this was my last resort, i gave it a go. No luck. It does not respond to the procedure ( power off → power on with connect button pressed for 5/10/15/30 secs ( yes i have tried multiple times)) so i am at a loss. Warranty case or can / is there any other procedure to test? Or an even harder factory reset method? br, Lennart

Hi! I bought I very nice setup for my new house (ARC, SuB Gen3, pair of One SL, AMP and 3 pairs of Architectural speakers…. I am very disappointed since I though the amp had more than one zone…I have wired my house for the ultimate experience…. I have also wired my backyard but it’s useless since I only have one expensive amp that can’t make the difference between my backyard speakers and my architectural speakers…Yes!!!  I saw some cheap speaker selectors that could make the trick but you need to select them manually… This is pretty basic stuff to be able to power up 1 set of speakers in that SONOS amp… I have something to tell to SONOS manufacturer. Why there is not a possibility to put something in the architectural speakers to be able to select à zone???? That would be good marketing too. If you need to use a specific zone, you need our amp and our architectural speakers…Now, I would need to purchase an 800$ Amp per each zone…. But my bathroom only has one speaker… This is crazy mon

I have a roku TV with e arc... I have the beam and want to add 2 Sonos one speakers for surround. My question is will my roku remote adjust the volume simultaneously on both the beam and the Sonos ones?...or do I have to use the Sonos app to adjust the speaker volume in unison?

Hi,I don’t understand how it works. I received a email asking me to send my Sonos Amp via UPS…. why?I readed we could keep or old product… so why do I need to send it?If you will replace it by a new one, what’s the price therefor?KR, David

I have a Sonos Arc, Sub 3 and Two Sonos One Surrounds connected to my Sony TV through the optical cable.  I keep getting a clicking sound in the rear right surround speaker every time whatever I am watching switches to another view, e.g.:when a newsreader switches over to a reporter - click; same when it reverts backwhen a programme goes to advert - click - then the same backIt doesn’t matter if I’m watching terrestrial tv or SKy tv.I have updated software, disconnected, re-connected, switched on and off, rebooted router, etc.  I have even swapped the rear right surround with the Sonos One from my bedroom and yet still the problem prevails.  It’s really very distracting and I’m listening out for it now. Please can anyone help?Thank you, in anticipation.  Mike

Is there anyway to play Apple Music from the Apple Music app to my SONOS group as is possible with Tidal? What I think I know is that Air Play is available to SONOS ONE but not when they are linked up in my group?Any advice on how to do it or for work arounds would be gratefully received.

My Play 3 is constantly getting disconnected and a challenge every few weeks to make it work again. Now, it won’t be found at all using my iPhone 12. I plugged it into the modem and it would work, but as soon as I removed it from the modem, it will not connect and cannot be found. Appreciate any tips.

Hello Everyone,We’re building our basement and adding a family/theatre room.  The space is fairly large (~35x20) and I’ve had them wire the ceiling for two in ceiling speakers where the sofa will sit.  I’m trying to decide what route to take for the best Sonos surround sound setup.  Does the Sonos Arc support a setup that includes both  In-Ceiling (Sonos by Sonance) and Side Rear (2 One SL’s) speakers?  Said differently will it feed Dolby (Atmos, Dolby Digital, etc.) and other surround formats to all 4 rear (both the side and in-ceiling) surround speakers?  For example if rain is falling will the ceiling speakers kick in with that effect while sounds coming from the side would be driven through one or both of the side speakers and not the ceiling?  I’ve noticed in the Sonos Home Theater Speaker Comparison chart it shows the Sonos Amp (required to drive the In-Ceiling speakers) doesn’t support Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus and some other formats, which I assume means anything playing

Here we go again.  The dreaded Unable to play selected item error has popped up on 2/13/21,  Sonos app seem able to browse the SiriusXM catalog, and show playing title names, but no matter the station you select it does not connect and presents the error.  SiriusXM plays fine through its native app.  I’ve done the obligatory delete and re-add the service to Sonos, but that doesn’t change the issue.  Status.sonos.com shows that SiriusXM is ok, but it certainly is not.  Other streaming services including Sonos’ own services continue to stream fine.I hope somebody at Sonos is watching and will look into this.  This whole structure where streaming services have to pipe their content through, and maintain, a connection with Sonos is aggravating.Diagnostic 1463009795

I upgraded to the Sonos S2 app on my Mac awhile ago and notice that the Sonos S1 Controller is still in my Applications folder. Will dragging the S1 app to my Trash completely remove it or are there additional steps to make sure any related files are removed from my system?

Hi there, since the Mac mini has no optical out I was wondering if someone can guide me what usb dac or other converter should I buy in order to get the best out of my Mac mini. Want to use the playbar with a 5.1 setup in my home office. (Mac to playbar+Sub+2play1) thanks for your tips!

Hi everyone, I’m new to the community. Have been a huge fan of Sonos and own quite a few of them. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this question - I have a connect amp, and just purchased a pair of Sonos outdoor speakers. I know the recommended amp is the newer Sonos amp with 125w per channel. Will I get away with using the Connect amp I already have?  And will I get good results from it?  If not, what are the downside?  Thank you

I have noted that Sonos removes posts and topics on subjects, products and policies it would rather not seen discussed. Are there any other forums that are not policed by the Sonos speech police?

Hi,I have a gen 1 play 5 and gen 1 play 1 in my apartment. Ive noticed that a a couple times when my speakers are grouped, suddenly my play 5 will just stop playing audio, but I hear my play 1 in the other room still going. This has only happened a few times and every time its just the last 10 seconds or so of the song. Then it will start playing the next song like nothing happened. Anyone else have this happen at all? Any potential fix?

I'm getting this error message on the Sonos app when I try to play music from certain areas in the Primephonic music service:"An error occured while adding tracks to the queue. 402" And the tracks do not play.I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant.  Is this a problem with Primephonic and should I contact them?

I have installed Sonos Desktop Controller 1124 (Sonos.exe version 6.0.0.34230) on a Windows 10 Pro host.Clicking the application results in the grey dialog box “Sonos” opening, and then nothing happens.  I have waited 5 minutes.  Looking in Task Manager the Sonos.exe is using no resources (it appears to be waiting?).I am able to use the Sonos Android Controller S1 with the same Sonos system.I am able to use Spotify with the same Sonos system.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Desktop Controller. What gives?

I changed my router so I reinstalled my two Play 1s. That was all fine, but now both devices  stops playback after about 2-3 minutes from Spotify and after that the Sonos devices cannot be detected from any app including the Sonis app. I can unplug and plug them back and then play some minutes again before playback stops. This happens from iphone/Android/Ipads/computer.  I have installed my Sonos devices on a 2.4 Ghz that is set up to be compatible with the, now, old, Sonos devices.
