Hi AllI have just bought a Sonos Arc.I was clearly hoping to use the Dolby Atmos functionality. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be working. I am using it with a Sony Bravia XH92 65 inch (kd-65xh9296) with the latest firmware (its a 2020 tv) and used the HDMI lead supplied with the Arc and plugged into the ARC HDMI socket on the TV. I have set the audio settings on the Sony as follows - A/V sync set to Auto and eARC mode set to auto.Normal stereo sound is fantastic.Obviously I have checked the Sonos app - this does not show the Dolby Atmos sign on the 'Now Playing' screen for the Arc and on the 'About my System' screen it informs me that the audio input into the Arc is generally Dolby Digital Plus 5.1.No mention of Atmos at any point.None of the apps on the Sony TV give me Atmos including films on Google Play, Disney and Netflix (all films that I have checked the system with I know are Atmos coded)I am not using a Bluray. I will also post on the Sony forum but I'm wondering if anyo

Hi All, I was wondering if the Sonos App Info version should match the Sonos System Info?Or should they be on the same version? 

I have read through a couple of these threads, but the options i saw were either not solving my problem or not acceptable for my viewing environment.  At issue is that i own a TiVo Edge.  the TiVo remote does indeed control power on, inputs, channel changes, etc, as I own an LG tv.  I go to the TiVo setup and look for the mfg, LG is there, and I pair the remote to my LG.  But as with many, I don’t use the TV sound system, but rather a SONOS Playbar.  Since in the remote pairing, it does not allow me, once i have included the LG tv, it assumes that when i hit the Mute button, it mutes the sound on my TV, which i am not using.  If i go to the A/V setup SONOS is not a listed mfg.  So according to TiVo, i am to use the Denon (?) manufacturer.  I tried all the settings and none of them allowed my mute button, for example, to mute or control volume.TiVo suggested i contact SONOS and i suspect SONOS will suggest i contact TiVo.All said and done, i want to be able to use my TiVo remote to not

Plugged in sonos beam yesterday with hdmi arc into samsung hu7500 tv. Volume on beam is low and dialogue not super quality. Need to listen to appletv at like 60 volume and even then dialogue quality not great. Talked to customer support for 2 hours this morning they couldnt figure it out. I suspect its tv compatibility issue but sonos doesnt think so.  any ideas!? 

So, I've got the Arc and Sub, connected to a LG C9, and input via Apple Tv 4K. Just added two Ikea Symfonisk as rears, and it does work, somewhat.I get nice Atmos, full surround when the input ( as acording to the sonos app ) is 5.1, 7.1 and so on, but when the input is 2.0, I do get some muffeld sound from the rears.I know this is a "feature" when you are streaming audio to your system, but as far as I can see, it should not do so when recieving input from the Tv.Is this intended by sonos, and if so, can it be turned off in some hidden setting somewhere? 

HI EveryoneI am wishing to create a media wall similar to the ones in the picture attached, where my ARC is mounted in a housing above or below the TV.Searching through the forums and chats that have already been created there was much discussion about the up firing speakers in the arc and the distances that the ARC required around at each end and above and therefore its placementMany of the chats are over 6months old and SONOS community was wishing for updates as time progressed. I was wondering if there is any further comment or success stories of the ARC in a built in unit or whether people had tried this finding poor results Many thanks

Hello, I was thinking that it could be great to have a Sonos Web App for control a Sonos System. It will allow to have a Desktop controller app compatible with all OS (Linux, Max, Windows, etc).  And it would be an easy solution for people who cannot Install software, too. Kind regards, Ian

My Sonos speakers have recently developed a frustrating behaviour, made worse after a Wi-Fi network change.  My Sonos app will no longer find my speakers wirelessly stating ‘unable to connect to Sonos’. So I follow the instructions to setup the wireless network - and all speakers show when I set up a wired connection. But following a successful wireless  setup, the speakers immediately drop off the app when I disconnect the wired connection. This is repeatable behaviour. I have also deleted the old Wi-Fi network from my system configuration.  I have 2 Play3 speakers, Soundbar and all updated software afaik. I’m running the latest Sonos app on up to date iOS.  Can anybody help please leaving a speaker by the router isn’t ideal. Thanks. 

Hi,  We are renovating our new house. We’re looking to install Sonos in ceiling speakers in 3 rooms. We would need 4 speakers in Kitchen/lounge also one in main bathroom and 1 in the main bedroom.I know i need an amp but unsure if i need 1 or 2. Could you advise me on what i need to do this please? Some questions:Do i need a wire from my wifi to the amp/amps? Do the amps have to be near or can i put them in the office or a cupboard? Can i plug 4 speakers into the 1 amp? Can i switch off one speaker/room and use the others or do i have to use them all together? I am planning on getting a sound bar for 2 tvs also, what wires do i need for this? And where from and too?  Do i need 1 or 2 Amps for 6 speakers and 2 sound bars What speaker wire is best to use? am i best buying the speakers etc from the Sonos website? Sorry for all the questions, I have no idea, my electrician is trying to convince me to buy £50 bluetooth speakers rather than Sonos, so he isn't helpful.I’d really appreciate so

Hi, Have a set of Fives set up as stereo pair supported by a sub. Stream content from Sonos app works flawless. But when using Airplay, it only stream to one of the two speakers. And to get them working again, I need to re-configure the stereo configuration. (After an Airplay stream, it destroys the stereo setup even streaming from the Sonos app, even configuration is show present. After re-setup it works again.) I have tried to stream directly from Spotify app and using generic Airplay stream from other source with same results. Narrow issue down to Airplay+Stereo Pair in Sonos. Have all the latest soft- and firmware with only iOS devices used in house hold. Tried from different iOS devices with same results.  Suspect IP for stereo pair is ignored by Airplay and stream is sent directly to ‘first speaker’ in pair setup. That would suggest Airplay destination is wrongly flagged by Sonos app. No idea on how to fix that and that would be a bug in Sonos app, if my suspicions are correct. S

Hi Folkscan someone kindly help me please?i was considering buying a gen 3sub, the reviews I read about the ARC playbar suggest that a sub may not be necessary as the bass response from the ARC is supposed to be very good, the question I ask is as followsi don’t have EARC on my Samsung tv only ARC hence I won’t be able to play in Atmos 😥what sound formats will the playbar be able to play using the ARC output from the tv?Many ThanksMartin 

I have quite a complex setup of:3 Sonos Ones w/ Alexa in individual rooms2 Sonos ones (w/o Alexa) and a sonos beam w/Alexa as a surround sound A bedroom with a playbarA boost Every single Sonos/Alexa product requires me to ask Alexa twice to do anything. It’s quite interesting. Any ideas please? 

Why my sonos one gen 2 connect to wifi for 2 minutes and then lost for 10 days?

Hi, I have run into some issues with my Sonos and Spotify. Sonos can’t add songs to the queue, sometimes Sonos can’t connect to Spotify, I have seen errors 701 and 1001. I have searched through the support pages and have tried to solve it myself first. What have I missed?I have two Sonos play 1’s and a sub in one group, and another Play 1 in a different group (room).  Here’s what I already tried:Reset/reboot routerRestart Sonos hardwareAssign static Ip'sReinstall Sonos appAlso all of the above in different order I should mention that it has worked without problems for years. I have the problems a few weeks now. I have sent a diagnostics report to Sonos (1635708822). I don't know if any of you have access to that? In my living room, I have a TV with Playbar and a turntable connected to a new AMP (all Sonos S2).It appears impossible to use the AMP as surround speakers for the Playbar, without losing the turntable input. Any suggestions? Currently, I can of course group the Playbar and AMP, but that’s not the same as a proper surround setup.Should I convert the turntable signal to optical and then put an optical switch in from of the Playbar? Any other ideas??

Hi,Sure this will be an easy one, and thanks in advance for the info.…I recently bought a beam, 2 x ones (will get the sub soon) I have one “one” in the lounge, other on the kitchen bar, as open plan / linked rooms….I like hearing the TV whilst prepping dinner, but I am going to put the kitchen one in the lounge so the surround is being utilized and sounds better. But here’s the question…..I want to buy another “one” for the kitchen, but will I be able to listen / hear the TV output even though it won’t be part of the beam 5.1 surround set up? Thank you in advance.

Did Sonos discontinue the background imags/screensaver on TVs? I used to have it on my beam but when I select that HDMI it doesn’t show anything amymore. Can you re-enable this setting somehow?

Hi,I hope someone can help me solve my connection issues because I'm desperate, Sonos hotline and chat were unable to find the solution.I have 7 Sonos products :- 1 Beam wire plugged with 2 Play:1 as satellites (WiFi)- 2 Play:1 on WiFi- 1 Play:3 on WiFi- 1 One on WiFiI use an Asus rt-ac68u as main router :- The ISP box doesn't have WiFi nor DHCP functionality enabled, it is wired to the WAN port of the Asus.- The Asus has DHCP enabled and all Sonos devices have fixed IP assigned outside of the DHCP range.- The 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi of the Asus is on band 20/40Mhz, currently channel 3 (I tried them all one by one).Since 3 months I keep having connection issues, it has been working just during 2 years before that. Sonos devices disconect during few seconds or few minutes and then come back (or not). It is totally random and happens on WiFi devices but also on the Beam that is wired. Hi, I’m trying to optimize my home WiFi networks. I have two running: one is off of the Comcast router, the second runs an Orbi mesh network (it’s a 3-story, narrow rowhome). Most of my devices run off of the Orbi network (which is connected to the cable router via an unmanaged switch). Since it’s a 3 story home, I purchased a Sonos Boost to support speakers on every floor. And of course the router is on the ground floor.Does it make sense to put the Boost onto the cable router (through the network switch), or with most other WiFi devices, into one of the Orbi devices? Can the boost work as a wireless bridge (the documentation is vague), in which case I could put it on the second floor? Finally, can most of the devices in the home (including the iOS controller and Alexa, be on a different WiFi network than Sonos?)I’m trying to figure out how best to configure this, and would really appreciate your advice! Hi, I would like report a bug with the way that Sonos devices handle HTTP Live Streaming URLs. I oversee the streaming for this radio station URL:https://stream.jpbgdigital.com/CJZN.m3u8 It includes 4 audio segments in the playlist, and uses this header to indicate that stream playback should begin from the very first segment:#EXT-X-START:TIME-OFFSET=0 However we’re hearing from listeners that Sonos devices are consistently starting the stream from the 2nd segment in the list and missing the first few seconds of audio. I’ve also been able to reproduce this on my Sonos One. There is more information on this header within the HLS RFC spec here:https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc8216#page-36 I’m happy to do any testing to help facilitate a fix here. Thanks,Andrew

I updated to the S2 app on mobile and laptop and now I can’t play anything that isn’t streaming through Spotify. And the only reason I can do that is bc I do it through Spotify Connect NOT the S2 app. What are my options here? There’s absolutely nothing wrong on my end, I’ve already tried the general troubleshooting steps and the fact that the Sonos player works through a non-Sonos application indicates the app is the problem.   

So, I’ve ripped out my very dated entertainment center builtin and and rebuilding it.  I’m strongly considering an Arc/Sub/Surrounds solution for cleanliness, and frankly, the cost is appealing.  However, I have an 18ft steeply angled ceiling.  Can Trueplay compensate for this?  My other option is to stick with an AVR receiver and install pendant speakers so I can normalize the height of left and right. Anyone using an Arc with angled ceilings?

I have a LG CX and what to mount it to my wall.  But I have a lot of questions?  I am using this mount fo LG https://www.vogels.com/en-us/c/thin-505-extrathin-fixed-tv-wall-mountI have read this:When wall-mounting, it is recommended to have a clearance of at least 5.5 inches between the TV and Arc. As per important safety information one of the lists states; Do not block any ventilation openings. Leave a recommended space of 4“ (10cm) around the unit.How high should I mount my LG to the wall? How high should I mount my arc? Which mount for ARC?  Should I get the mount that can extend 2 inches?  https://www.sanus.com/en_US/products/mounts/wssatm1/ or get the flat mount?  I want the arc to be as closed to wall as possible. Do I need a mount that has magnet? Hi AllI Have a Sony Bravia and Sonos Home speaker setup.I have my own music that i like and listen to and have no particular interest in other types of music.So i don't want to pay Deezer Spotify Amazon etc etc for the privilege of listening to the music i already own….!I was using Google Play and this was working great then we were all forced in to YTM and now the Bravia does not show any of my playlists albums artists let alone plat anything so you can imagine how unimpressed i am !!There are no other apps that support upload of music (iBroadcast being the one exception but that does not have an Android compatible App at the mo..)So i'm thinking of setting up a very small NAS box (only need a single disk) The Music app on the Bravia detects the Beam and looks for a music library on its IP address (of which i dont have one right now) Can anyone recommend something that works is compact, small (1-2 drive bays) and relatively inexpensive !!Does this plug directly in to the back of the B
