I have an older PLAY5 plus two PLAY 1s and a BEAM and just  took delivery  of a new PLAY5  to be compatible with S2   I thought I could play all the  new compatible stuff with S2 but then switch back to S1 to include my new PLAY5 . S1 now says the Play 1s and the Beam is incompatible and can only use the old PLAY5 as a stand alone. Is this right as it is now what I previously read?

I have home with built in speakers throughout home in ceilings. I have Connect and output wires going to speakers and it shows playing thru the app but no sound. Do I also need a receiver going into the Connect as a Line in to hear the music?  Or can it just play trough the app and the WiFi. Thanks for any guidance. 

Watching the new series of Dark Materials on BBC iPlayer in UHD this evening through the iPlayer app on my LG Nano TV. I'm definitely getting really good surround sound through the rear speakers connected to my Arc, but the system says Stereo PCM 2.0. I am confused!! Any ideas?

I have a My Cloud Home setup and have connected it to the Sonos Desktop Controller on my MacBook Pro. Most of the music files read fine and are in the correct order but one folder is completely out of order.Can anyone suggest what might be the issue and how I can fix it? I am attaching a picture of what I see when I go into the album folder. I have other album folders that have files numbered the exact same way and they read absolutely fine. It’s really starting to drive me up the wall.Any advice would be appreciated.

I have read various posts on here suggesting that it does not really matter where a sub goes since the sound is not directional … but I have a question: is it possible to be too close to my Arc? The sub itself is a work of art, so I want to display it prominently … but I’m worried that the space I have in mind is too close to the Arc and that it might impede the Arc.

I recently uninstalled and re-installed the Sono desktop controller - the reason being is that the displayed playlist did not reflec the playlist I have setup in iTunes. Specifically I now have under imported playlists, 11 (eleven) instances of a playlist called “downloaded”. There is no such playlist setup in iTunes! The contents of these playlist include non-playable songs (“Unable to play, the saher does not exists”) Its is pointing to an old share which is no longer in use.Is there anything I can do to solve this annoying problem?ThanksEd

I know there are similar threads but cant seem to find an answer :(After my girlfriend moved in we now have a spare playbar we just want to use as a speaker.I can reset it and see it in the app but keeps asking me to setup as connected to a TVHow do I get around this? 

Hi all,Hope everyone is safe and healthy!  I just got my Sonos arc and I am in market to buy a new TV. I understand not all TVs are compatible with Sonos to give the best experience. Can you please recommend a few tv models which work well with Sonos?There is no constraint on budget. I was thinking to get any TV with eArc, but seems like that alone also won’t solve the problem.

Hi,I have recently purchased the Sonos Arc, w/sub & 4 one SL. The electronics store that I purchased it from guaranteed that I would be able to connect the Sonos to this projector and everything they sold me I’ve had nothing but issues. I have checked the forums here and have found this product as a highly recommended product. Below is also the link to the spec sheet of my projector. https://hdfury.com/product/4k-arcana-18gbps/https://www.projectorcentral.com/pdf/projector_spec_8947.pdfI have set up as per directions of the arcana product, and when I go to the TV Setup in the Sonos app the app does not detect any signal from eArc to set up the Sonos with the projector. The video for the projector flows through the device properly but the audio does not.  Am I missing something here?  

So, I feel really silly asking this, but:  I can’t find the radio station on S2 that’s been curated by Bjork. The only curated stations that appear in my Sonos Radio > Sonos Presents section of S2 are those by Thom Yorke, Ludwig Goransson, Brittany Howard, Third Man Records, and Full Spectrum/Pride.Am I missing something obvious? Are there limitations based on country? (I’m in Canada). Is the Bjork “station” actually just part of Sonos Sound System (in which case: where do you find the schedule for that station?). I’m probably missing something obvious. But: I’m also not an idiot. You’d think something this major (from a marketing perspective) would be a lot clearer. (I.e. just trying to figure out what Sonos Sound System is, as a station, has been a challenge).Any help would be appreciated.

Tried unplugging my speaker, then router, and plugging speaker back in after router rebooted, as suggested on this forum. Sonos app on phone stuck at ‘Searching for nearby products, make sure they’re powered on….’ and doesn’t see my Soundbars.So frustrating as this happens every time I loose power.  Other devices seem to connect fine when power comes back on except for my Sonos products. Sound bar is not near my router so connecting directly via ethernet cable is not an option.

The vocal is very soft and when the surround comes in the police will knock my door . the center volume is very Low on the arc

Connect Amp and TV line-in 

Just got an ARC and 2 One SLs as surrounds. The Arc is connected via Ethernet and the SLs via WiFi.  The SLs keep disappearing from the app and trying to set them up as surrounds shows an error on the app and then presets them as connected. When trying to play surround move or to calibrate true sound the surround speakers do not respond or cannot be found. The WiFi reception near the speaker is very good. Diagnostic number: 1562118009 Thanks for helping, this is highly frustrating.

According to this article, https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4786?language=en_US  The symfonisk should work with both the S1 and S2 apps. However, I cannot get mine to do so. Even after a reset when I try to add it to a new system via the S1 app I’m told it will only work with the S2 app and it need to download the S2 APP. I have a gen 1 S5 so can only use the S1 app for a complete system. 

Hello, My issue is very weird, i have two iphones where i use the sonos S2 appone X ios 14.4 (personnal) one 11 ios 14.4 (job)on the personal i have only one device my sonos 5 gen 2 on the job one i have my full system (sonos 5, sonos one and play one). I cannot add any product on the iphone X, i reset the app uninstall / reinstall. Does any one have the same problem ?

I’ve tried several time, as sonos radio and as tunein radio, but it does not work.If I connect to the webpage https://www.radio24.ilsole24ore.com/  the online stream works.Could someone of the staff check what it going on?Thanks

I would like to use Move as one permanent speaker in other part of the house while not used outside, but I wonder if this will damage its  battery at some point. Some systems has a "smart" battery management capabilities that use Power straight when battery has reached 100%, is this also applicable to Move? Thanks a lot,

Hi, after needing to change my region from Argentina to Spain to use Google Home (I really don’t know what's the point of changing region if I have the same supported language on SS/GH, anyways it works like magic and its awesome), i was thinking about linking Sonos with SmartThings, but the Sonos integration does no appear on the list, is this a region thing or that a cloud integration is not available? (I mean local is 100% better, but I don't have a hub / can't find one anywhere and it would be nice to have the option) Thanks

I have a samsung ue55hu7500, sky q 2tb and just replaced bose sound bar with Sonos Arc. But for some reason, the sky q will only play sound as normal. The tv and sound arc are connected via arc hdmi. Seems stupid that these three don’t talk. After spending all this money on tv and sound bar in last few years, it would be great to know if I can get the sky q to use the Dolby. Oh don’t get me started on the lip sync!!

So the fact that Apple renamed iTunes to Apple Music - AND has a streaming music service of the same name has made searching for a solution to my problem a challenge. I do. not have a streaming Apple Music account - but I DO have a new laptop that has the Apple Music application (formerly iTunes). In the past I haven’t had any problems getting my playlists from iTunes to appear in my Sonos app but that is no longer the case with the new Apple Music app. I’m stuck with an old list of Playlists and can’t add any new ones. It seems as though the list is no longer synched between Sonos and Apple.  Any thoughts?

Hi has anyone else had difficulty with Alexa activation with Ones? I'm trying to get BBC radio to play in one room, Alexa announces BBC Sounds app, but nothing happens. It works fine in other rooms. I've read a lot of negative feedback over the last week or so to about voice activation, has something happened recently?

I have tried to set options on the app, so that when I play a vinyl, connected to my Sonos amp, and third part speakers, the volume diverts away from the tv to the turntable. I’ve not been able to achieve this?Any help appreciated Cristof
